Food is home cooked. No frills, just home cooking. Diner has a menu and specials of the day.

We always search out diners when traveling as they usually have good food. This place is no exception. The decor is very cute, with old TV and movie memorabilia. You seat yourself and a friendly server brought us menus. Breakfast is huge here, but I wanted lunch and they had enough items for me to make a good choice. They offered a ham and cheese sandwich and our server fortunately told me it was cold. I dislike cold sandwiches. She willingly offered to have it grilled. Yay for her! The sandwich came with chips, coleslaw and a pickle. We didn't wait long at all. The sandwich was real ham, not deli meat and was super tender. Great sandwich and great service. Definitely worth our stop for a simple fare after eating lobster for days.

We visited Martha's on a recent trip to Maine. There was a little bit of a wait on a Sunday morning but we were seated at the bar promptly which overlooks the kitchen. This place was dirty to me. Everything felt sticky and messy. It seemed like there was stuff everywhere. We felt a bit out of place as it seemed like everyone knew each other. While waiting to order we watched an employee (maybe owner/manager) handle cash at the register and then use bare hands to handle cookies without washing hands in between. :-/ We ordered coffee and OJ. My coffee mug was dirty and I had to ask for another mug. I ordered the house sandwich and my husband ordered the eggs Benedict. My sandwich had a piece of ham but it was missing something. (Like a sauce instead of mayo) My husband's eggs Benedict was lacking in flavor also. The potatoes were just ok. Overall it was an ok stop but we didn't really feel welcome and the food handling practices seemed lacking.

If you're in the area you gotta stop by! Been family owned by Peter and Martha since 2004. Carol was my server and she was a delightful person to talk too. The vibes are amazing, I sat at the bar top that has about 5 seats and got to watch the cooks and the owner prep and cook everyone's food in their open kitchen concept. It's exactly what you want in a diner, great atmosphere, great service, and great prices for food. Can't say enough! Make sure to stop and get some food!

Atmosphere - If you are looking for a modern, slick looking setting, you will be very disappointed. However, if you are interested in an authentic, small town diner, this is the place for you. The place is very small (a dozen four-tops)? The ambiance is from the 60s and the staff is very friendly. Service - Very good. Our service was very nice and attentive. Food - Very good.. I had a grilled ham and cheese on homemade white bread. It tasted as though it was homemade (and I mean this in the best way) and was very tasty. Overall Value - very good. This would be my go to place to eat if I lived in the area.

Egg Benny.....Fabulous, great friendly waitstaff. Highly recommend! My only complaint, so many choices I have to come back. Ha ha

Stopped here for breakfast wait staff was amazing friendly. The food was fabulous! There are so many great choices we need to come back.

What a find! This terrific little diner has it all. A great casual ambience that favors Americana, Lucille Ball, Elvis Presley and more. We loved The Beach Boys tour poster on the wall! An open kitchen diner where you can see a perfectly seasoned grill. The owner and the servers greet you warmly as if you were family when you come in. The food was incredible. So darn good. Each bite makes you feel like you are in your grandmother's kitchen. The home fries were just perfectly grilled. The eggs were not overly cooked -- an all too common occurrence. Our party had the ham and eggs with cheese special, a blueberry muffin that was slightly seared on the grill, two blueberry pancakes and the freshest Crabmeat Benedict. In fact, the Benedict was so fresh it was flirting with us. The homemade toast was soaked in butter and still crisp. Our server Carol was incredibly friendly and helpful. Her smile was infectious. She showed us the specials and answered all of our questions without hesitation. The owner checked us out and was genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our breakfast. We would return here again in a heartbeat!

Maybe one of the wait staff was off or the rain drove everyone inside. We ordered drinks and got those. After about 20 minutes we were able to order. The wait staff was honest when I asked about the hash and said it isn't homemade. Food came out about 30 minutes later. They were hopping now! The food was excellent and made up for the long wait. Bacon that perfect spot between soggy and crisp, really tasty and crispy home fries. The pancakes were good, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Order the Maine maple syrup!! When the bill came I noticed that the short stack of pancakes we wanted, 2 pancakes, one with chocolate chips and one plain was charged as 2 individual ones plus the chocolate chips instead of a stack with chocolate chips. Short stack is $5.55 and they charged us $3.75 per pancake plus $1.75 for chocolate chips. All she had to say was we would be charged for individual pancakes but nothing! That was a major disappointment. Otherwise this would be 5 stars.

It comes as regular eggs Benedict but with regular bacon and hash on muffins alongside home fried potatoes! It was delicious, and I absolutely mean that in every definition of the word. I put a bit of Cholulu hot sauce, sslt/pepper to taste and the kid in me needed ketchup for the home fries. I drank OJ but at the bar they serve drinks so if ya want a Bloody or a Mimosa, they have it! Server was nice, but I didn't get her name. Prices were fair or maybe modest for the quality of food! Come enjoy! Roadside parking on Main St or lots of parking behind Finn's across the street. Big parking lot, lots of space and I was in a Jeep pulling a trailer! Have a great dining experience!

Not sure if they were having an off-day today or they've been sliding downhill but today's experience was far from ok. Starting with the good. It was quite busy when we arrived around 7:30 pm and despite this the waitstaff were very friendly and were helping each other out. The server who brought our drinks even brought shorter "kids-size" straws for the children. Very thoughtful. Our primary server (Kallie B.) was covering several tables in our section and had signaled that she was coming to take our order when she accidentally spilled a drink at the next table. She was apologetic to that that group and moved quickly to clean it up but knew that we had been waiting a long while to order, so asked another server to come and take our order. Again, thoughtful. The food was simply not good today. We were a group of 6 adults and 2 children. Most had fries with our meals. They were all very undercooked - as if they were rushed. The bacon on my wife's club sandwich was undercooked. Several of us left large portions of our meals barely touched because they just didn't taste good. I had ordered steak tips. I tried to eat the first two and were so chewy that I had to put them in my napkin. I left the rest on my plate. This leads to an important recommendation. While the staff's teamwork and friendliness was great, the servers would benefit from some training in attention to signs that customers are having issues with their meal. While our server did ask at one point how everything was, she did so hastily and said, "ok? Good." without waiting for an actual response. She didn't seem to notice that I hadn't eaten my $21 steak tips meal - or if she had noticed, didn't bother to ask about it. It felt insincere. Likewise, a lack of inquiry for the barely touched french fries and portions of several meals left on plates. In a word, today was disappointing. I hope they'll do better.
