We stopped at this little shop before going to shelter island and the woman working was so friendly. We got an egg/cheese/bacon bagel, egg/cheese bagel, a vanilla latte, and a cinnamon roll pastry. She also threw in some donut holes which was so nice of her. Everything was yummy but the cinnamon roll pastry was one of the best cinnamon rolls iv ever had so i definitely recommend that!

She is delightful her smile will light up your day!

There are so many things to love about this delicious muffin, cinnamon rolls, donuts, breakfast sandwiches, yummy coffees and teas! They were just delightful and took amazing care of us and it left a glorious memory of joy!

If you are in San Diego and looking for a good place to get some breakfast, this is the place to go. The food is absolutely amazing and the employees are outstanding. Very quick and kind. This quite honestly might be the best bagel sandwich I've ever had

Came here for a quick breakfast prior to a trip to Cabrillo National Monument. What a cute neighborhood joint for breakfast pastries! I had the sprinkles donut which was delicious and so fluffy. My friend ordered the spinach and cheese croissant which the server heated up for us quickly on the spot, as well as the lemon poppy seed muffin. The muffins here are a great combination of crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, and very flavorful! Prices were very reasonable and service was friendly. Big bonus is easy parking as there is a small parking lot with a handful of dedicated spots for Marvelous Muffins customers. Come here if you're looking for a quick and delicious stop for breakfast!

Everything went well! Found this little ma and pop shop in Point Loma, block from the harbor. Great food and coffee!

SPOILER ALERT: ONE OF THE BEST APPLE FRITTERS IN THE U.S. We stopped by on Saturday, just before closing (12:30ish). There's ample street and lot parking with handicap accessible spaces. They took cash and cards. The eating area was clean and felt like a nice place for a drop in breakfast on a weekend. The server/cashier was very pleasant and there were several options still available, to pair with hot or cold beverages (See photos). I'm not a muffin guy, so I went for the donuts (It's my cheat day). THE APPLE FRITTER IS A TEN! This apple fritter was a cut above: - Perfect portion size for an adult - Drizzled with the traditional powdered sugar glaze, but not overly sweet - Cooked to perfection and lightly crisp along the exterior - Moist inside without being doughy - Cinnamon spread evenly throughout the dough without overpowering it - YOU CAN TASTE APPLES IN EVERY BITE The fritter outperforms the 50 - 100 I've eaten over many years. Most fritters are partially burnt, doughy inside, kissed by an apple, and so hard outside they hurt your mouth. DONUT HOLES - HOLE IN ONE - Pillow soft - Melts in your mouth - Not too sweet - Very pop able! When I'm in San Diego and near this place, it's all about the Apple Fritter (Cheat Day or Not)! Enjoy!

I'm so lucky to have grabbed the last Kouign Amann for that day! The bread pastries were soft and buttery - they are good without heating them up, but I highly recommend waiting until you get home to heat them up! They taste that much better, especially for the Kouign Amann. You can really taste the salt in the cookie - I didn't mind it, but to some I'd imagine it may be a hair too salty. No indoor seating, and limited covered outdoor seating. Most people just take it to-go. It is true that the to-go line is likely the better move, as parking in this area can be a bit tough. Lots of chocolate and I think they added toffee in it too. The middle section had pistachio frangipane (or it looked like it) with coarsely chopped pistachios that brought another layer of crunch! Then to top it all off, it had pistachio cream on top of the cookie! I only wish I got another one. CAPPUCCINO It was okay. But love the foam! It was frothy and foamy! PAVLOVA The meringue was a bit too hard and too sweet and the pastry cream was overwhipped. Loved the fresh fig and blueberries though. I was looking forward to eating pavlova and this was very disappointing! KOUIGN AMANN Very buttery and sticky! Crispy on the outside. Every bite was not dry, but chewy. There was this sticky and chewy texture that wasn't unpleasant, yet it wasn't fully flaky like a croissant. But glad it was not dry! The kouign amann was not as tall like others I've tried, but I preferred it this way because it was not dry. The last kouign amann I had from Bread Lounge was dryyyy. But bought mine at a coffee shop too. PAIN AU CHOCOLAT Crispy on the outside, but I must have toasted a bit more, so the outside was a bit more toasted than desired. Inside was good. Good dark chocolate. BUTTER CROISSANT Really buttery, flaky, crispy! Ate it next day, so reheated it in the toaster oven to bring a more crispness all around. Really enjoyed this! Adding butter and jam is so good! LEMON MERINGUE Meringue had a strong eggy smell and flavor, the lemon was tangy, but not enough to rid of the eggy smell and flavor. The tart was hard and almost stale. I took a few bites and threw the rest out. PAIN SUISSE Chocolate flavor. Crispy on the outside, fluffy like a light spongy cake inside. Enjoyed this! CUSTOMER SERVICE Got there early afternoon. There was only one person in front of me. Good service overall. Quick service. Hits and misses of the various pastries I've tried. It will not deter me from trying their pastries though, as the really good ones were really good! Would love to return! Especially for that Choco Chip Pistachio Cookie! This is such a cute shop with inside and outside seating. There is a small amount of seating near the windows but more outside around the back. Went on the holiday weekend and it took about 40 minutes to get through the line (started outside on sidewalk) to get my drink and cake slice. My favorite thing here is the lotus biscoff cheesecake $12. Their biscoff matcha is just okay. Note, they charge $7 for their matcha and then charge additional for biscoff, milk preference and foam. The orange blossom latte is good but very sweet. Their drinks run on the sweet side. Be sure to ask for half sweet if needed. I saw so many people ask for their drinks to be remade because it was too sweet and it really impacted the workers. I have tried some other desserts but just wasn't a fan. Before driving over, I even called the store to make sure they had it. To my surprise, someone actually answered, confirmed they had one slice left, and even offered to hold it for me. My mood instantly changed. After the day I'd had, I was genuinely excited and headed there immediately. I arrived less than 10 minutes later, only to be told they didn't have it after all. To make matters worse, they claimed they don't even hold desserts for customers. It wasn't just disappointing--it was incredibly frustrating. If they couldn't hold it, I would have understood. But giving me false hope and having me rush over for nothing completely ruined the experience. What was supposed to be a small bright spot in my day turned into an even bigger disappointment. Unfortunately, this experience has left such a bad impression that I won't be returning. There are plenty of other bakeries in the area, and I'll be looking forward to trying those instead.
