Pretty average Indian food. Personally, I think it's overpriced and not always as flavorful as we prefer. The samosas can sometimes be undercooked and the curries lacking spice (more cream forward) but if you're craving Indian food, this will do in a pinch. read more

I ordered at the kiosk since line was long and waited for my turn. When I was up, I gave my receipt to the staff and she said it will be 10-15 min. I understand the wrap would take time. But, she didn't prepare my combo. Few other people came and got served. Another customer used kiosk and got served as well after showing receipt and got there combo meals. Some other people came and got combo meals and got served after high fiving the servers. Then the person asked for my receipt again and asked me what I wanted for combo and I was told the dish I wanted was out. They had given it to the people who high fived the staff. She said she couldn't fill it before as she had to wait for the receipt to print in the back. Basically giving me excuses for not having the item when it was served right in front of me to people who ordered 15 min after me. I have been coming to this place since 2006/2007 when they first opened. Now that they are bigger, their customer service has deteriorated. I won't be coming back here again. Got a 2 item combo if was very good and flavorful I got curry chicken and another chicken dish I forgot the name of . my only complaint is it was chicken legs, So I got a little chunks of bones in a few bites so I would just be careful eating it slowly. Other than that everything was good, garlic naan is fresh The samosas were very good, especially with the tamarind sauce. I wasn't a fan of the mint sauce but it's an acquired taste. Since I've been going to Masala House for the past five years the food has gotten better and the location improved. What used to be a Indian grocer with a small food service counter has grown into a full restaurant with booths and tables. (The grocery has moved a few doors down and expanded itself but it's still the same owners.). The food is the full time focus of the restaurant now and the quality of the already amazing food has improved. The options have grown too since they have more space and a full kitchen staff. The garlic nann is amazing and made fresh to order, often coming several minutes after you've paid but absolutely worth the small wait. I wouldn't personally recommend getting a combo of the chicken coconut curry together with the tikki masala because the tikki masala will make the chicken curry taste mild. The items in the combo were incorrect, there was chicken masala and a goat dish and then they gave tandoori on the side. I did not like the sauce of the goat dish and they had placed a bunch of the sauce on my rice. I assumed they realized they made a mistake and that's why they gave me the chicken separate but I wish they would have remade my meal instead. Overall the food (minus the goat) was ok. I also ordered garlic naan which was delicious. I didn't call or go in because I realized it when I got home and didn't want to go back. I've been here before and didn't have any issues. Stop serving rotten chicken meat it's becoming consistent. The food would be good but they serve rotten meat often and have unsafe hard bones and hard small bits that are dangerous if not eaten cautiously (The chicken Korma). The establishment is cute and hip with their seating and decor and they have a very wide variety of options- both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. They are spicy but I love spice. I gave a four because there was only one person there to take our order and it got a little busy. Because he was busy he forgot our naan. This place needs management courses and shoujd learn a lesson or two about customer service. I ordered 4 chaats and waited 1 hour to get served. There were 3 people who were behind me and all got served while we waited. About 40 mins into the order I inquired about how long it will take. They told me to just sit and when the order is ready we will be notified. So I waited another 20 mins and saw some more people getting served. That was too much for me and decided to leave. Seeing me come to the register some lady came back from the kitchen and started to make my order. I asked for my refund and left. The restaurant is pretty spacious. I was a bit hesitant to come due to the mixed reviews of the food and staff. I went to the Corona location. First, the food was amazing. I had the chicken tikkie masala, paneer masala, with nan bread that had raisons inside. The food smelled and tasted amazing. I was told it would take about 20 minutes for the food to be ready and it took about 45 min. The food was wrapped really well and didn't have to worry about any spills. My observation, they are understaffed since the hostes was the only one running around to seat people, take orders, bring food, and bring the check. She did an amazing job for running 8 tables and 2 tables had over 8 people in there party. read more
