Veal SCALOPPINE AL LIMONE
Amanda W.

Great service and wonderful meal! We've been eyeing this spot for a while, this was previously Parma Nouva, however we've never been before. So I did not have a comparison with the previous spot. However this restaurant was great! We started with a bottle of montepulciano, which was reasonable. For our starters, we had the octopus and cuttlefish, and the eggplant parm. I loved the flavor of the eggplant parm! Additionally the octopus and cuttlefish was also a hit, loved the fava bean purée. For mains, we had the fettuccine with short ribs ragout (so this dish originally came with a tubal pasta, which was not homemade, so the server said I can swap out the pasta for a homemade one). And we also had the veal scaloppine, which had a divine capers sauce. Plus the broccoli rabe was excellent to pair. Overall lovely meal and service. Will absolutely return!

Service was great. Went there with a bunch of friends from Horace Mann. So it was just great to be with the group. The lump crab, salad was pretty bland. I had the shrimp special, which was extremely expensive and pretty good. Lori had the spaghetti which was OK. Drinks were well-made. But overall, I would say a very average Italian restaurant experience.

Chicken paillard

We finally made it in for a meal at this rebooted UES Italian restaurant. Its now part of a small restaurant group. The space is beautiful. We really enjoyed the music that was played. David, our waiter, was charming and funny. We were started off with bread and excellent cheesy breadsticks. It turned out that they offered a restaurant week menu on a Saturday night. The salad was excellent and the eggplant parmigiana appetizer was amazing. I don't even like eggplant parmigiana and thought it was great. My wife got a chicken paillard with salad that she really liked. I had an excellent order of orata with clams in a light tomato sauce with clams accompanied by vegetables. Dessert was awesome tiramisu and passion fruit sorbet with berries. Everything we ate was delicious. This was a very nice introduction to a restaurant that we look forward to revisiting.

Fried artichoke - amazing
Melissa P.

We came here for dinner and everything was amazing, including the food and service. We started with the fried artichoke and prosciutto with parmesan cheese. The fried artichokes were amazing. They didn't have breading on them and they were flash fried and so crispy and perfect. The prosciutto is freshly sliced and is also amazing. I then got the gnocchi with fresh mozzarella and it was one of the best gnocchi dishes I've ever tried. The table also got the lasagna bolognese and salmon which they loved. They also got the mushroom risotto special, but it wasn't one of the stand out dishes. We will definitely be coming back.

Da Andrea was an absolute delight!! From the first sip to the last bite, every part of the meal was…read moreexceptional. The limoncello was simply divine, and the spaghetti Bolognese and short rib ravioli were both out of this world--rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Then came dessert... the ricotta cheesecake literally knocked it out of the park. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dining experience. Then there was our waiter, Cem, he had a great presence, was very knowledgeable, and treated us like royalty! He made the entire experience worth coming back for. If you're looking for authentic Italian food with incredible flavors and impeccable execution, Da Andrea is a must-visit but you have to ask to be seated with Cem!! Can't wait to come back!

Taylor's Tayke: Da Andrea is a great option for Italian…read moredining in Chelsea, with a warm atmosphere that works perfectly for date night or dinner with friends. The menu has plenty of variety across pastas, seafood, and cocktails, with some unique dishes that made the experience memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the seafood options stood out the most for me. My Tipsy Tayke: The Fragola Fizz was juicy, fruity, and refreshing. The Forever Summer was another standout, with the smokiness of the mezcal blending really well with the fruit flavors without overpowering them. Both are easy recommendations depending on whether you want something fruity or a little more complex. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Seafood Ravioli Unique, flavorful, and packed with different seafood flavors. The ravioli itself was delicate and had a tendency to fall apart, but the flavor made up for it. Standout: Calamari Crispy, seasoned, and enjoyable. It had a slightly chewy texture, but I still found myself going back for more. The Carpaccio wasn't necessarily for me texture-wise, but I really enjoyed the greens and dressing that accompanied it. The garnish felt intentional and helped bring the dish together. The Pappardelle came with plenty of sauce but could have used more flavor overall. The complimentary bread was also tougher and chewier than I prefer. Desserts: The Lemon Sorbet was easily my favorite dessert. Bright, refreshing, and packed with real lemon flavor. The Mango Sorbet was another refreshing option with a smooth tropical sweetness. The Panna Cotta Cheesecake leaned closer to a mousse in texture and was definitely on the sweeter side. I especially enjoyed it with the cherry, which helped balance everything out. Service: Warm and attentive throughout the meal, fitting the inviting atmosphere. Plates From My Visit: Calamari Carpaccio Seafood Ravioli Pappardelle Lemon Sorbet Mango Sorbet Panna Cotta Cheesecake Fragola Fizz Forever Summer In Conclusion: A warm Chelsea Italian spot with strong cocktails, unique seafood dishes, and refreshing desserts. The Seafood Ravioli was the highlight of the savory side, but whatever you do, save room for that Lemon Sorbet. Stamped by Elajas

Are you going to the Joyce for a wonderful evening of dance ?…read more Do you prefer a location close by ? Is inexpensive Italian food a preferred choice ? If you answered "yes" to all three, then Fumo is a place to seriously consider. The restaurant is bright and comfortable. The service is fast and attentive. The menu has lots of excellent choices. The portions are generous. The prices are very reasonable. There you go ! Fumo is for you, (at least the Chelsea location) is for you. Any drawbacks ? youi ask.....well, yes, there is one, and it should be cosnidered. The restaurant is so so so popular that the noise level can be a bit ..... shall we say "daunting." Fumo is a great place but if you want a soft, quiet place to have a serious conversation, maybe save it for another time....

This means those dishes aren't truly gluten free for people with celiac disease or anyone who has to avoid gluten. When I pointed that out to my server, he just gave me a blank stare. I tried to explain why labeling those items as gluten free is misleading, but he seemed completely disinterested, even annoyed, dismissed what I was saying, and simply responded that the pasta is gluten free. I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The food was okay, definitely not enough to make up for the poor service and handling of a serious dietary issue. Needless to say I will not be returning.

Water and excellent bread arrived immediately and the waiter was helpful describing dishes and giving advice. Salads were fresh and crisp. The ricotta based cheese cake wasn't as smooth as the cream cheese form but the citrus flavor was great.
