Yum! This is the spot my Filipino friends recommended and I can see why. Comfy atmosphere with such friendly service and homecooked meal vibes. Our favorite items were the Binukadkad Na Tilapia, Kare Kare and the String Beans with Garlic. Definitely reccomend coming with a big group to try everything if you've never had Filipino food before!

Came here on a Friday at noon right after Christmas. There wasn't a ton of rush but there were people in and out getting food to go! More of a casual restaurant vibe but enough tables with enough seating for multiple groups of different sizes, with plenty of room. Our waiter was very friendly, came and took our order after we took a while to decide. We weren't sure if we had enough food but our waiter said he thought we had enough but he left us a menu just in case. And he was very correct. The street food appetizer came out around the same time as pork belly. I loved the street food platter, particularly the rolls. The pork belly was also good, it just isn't usually my favorite item. Next came out a huge pile of fried pork, much much larger than we expected and very welcome. This along with the sauce it came with tasted great! And last we got our chicken adobo, which was probably my favorite item after the street food platter. Overall food was delicious, service was fast and good, and if you want some Filipino food you won't go wrong here!

Came here for the first time to try a Kamayan for a friends birthday and it was spectacular. The table was pre dressed with the banana leaves prior to us arriving and the food was placed around the time we all arrived. When the food was being placed, there was an art behind how it was displayed and prior to eating, we were provided a little history lesson about the components on the table from sauces to the meats. This hole in wall provided a homey vibe with what reminded me of the elders yelling in the kitchen while everyone else sat in the living room chatting. The staff was very accommodating to our group and while we were unaware of when they closed, they never rushed us out. Definitely would try a Kamayan again and would definitely check this place out again.

Open three days a week, You have to visit if in the area on one of those days. We got the chicken adobo, pork sisig, a few rices and halo halos. Check was around 77$. The food is good but the price is fairly high. Lots of big take out orders for party's so the staff kind of try's to be helpful when they are free. The restaurant has had an update since I last visited years ago.

You would never think Filipino food with a name like this. But man the food is pretty good! We also had a fish ball appetizer and one with fried tofu and pork belly. That was way too much food for 2 adults and an 11yr old. The fried fish was really well cooked and tasty. The bbq pork skewers were outstanding. My son devoured them with rice. The egg rolls are really tasty and well fried, not soggy and oily. Next time we will order less to save room for desserts that we couldn't try!! Only open Fri-Sun. Parking is easy. The people who work there are very friendly.

Wonderful restaurant with delicious Filipino food. Coming in, my wife and I noticed that it was quite busy, so if you have a party of 4 or more, definitely call to make a reservation beforehand. Being a party of 2 on a Saturday we were promptly seated. Being Filipino, it was a very homey feel when being spoke to in Tagalog. Otherwise, the place is very clean and inviting. The food definitely stands out the most to me. It came out quickly and nice and fresh. The pork bbq was simple and yet flavorful. The sizzling sisig came in a large portion, definitely for 2 or more people. It had a nice and crispy texture, but each bite packed with flavor. Definitely coming back to try more dishes.

Matthew's grill is a Filipino restaurant located at the Festival at Muddy Branch strip mall. They are only open Friday to Sunday. Service is fast and friendly giving you that hometown feel. Servings are decent, big enough to share with 3 people. Food is cooked fresh daily. We ordered the binukadkad na tilapia, caldereta , Sisig and ending with the halo halo and turon with ube ice cream. The caldereta was a bit bland for me and the halo halo was ok. My favorites were the fish, Sisig and turon.

Was checking the area where we can get good food before heading to our destination somewhere in Rockville. As a foodie I always check ratings and yes I must say it's a great place for Filipino food. The place was clean, staff and even the owner were awesome. The food oh absolutely worth it... if I'm in the area I will make sure I stop here and so should you. The more the merrier.

This spot is an absolute gem! It was easy to miss but I'm so happy I found it. It's very quaint yet bustling and seems to be a really popular spot. There are some great options on the menu and the prices and portions are great. We ordered Crispy Calamari and Chicharon for apps and followed with Matt's Crispy Pata and Sizzling Pork Sisig for entrees. Dessert was Sonia's Halo-Halo. The Crispy Calamari was really yummy and battered well and the squid was nice and soft and tender. Overall, an 8/10. The Chicharon was very crunchy and crispy. It was well made and was a great app to snack on. Overall, an 8/10. Matt's Crispy Pata was delicious! The pork was tender and well made and seemed to fall off the bone. I enjoyed it and it was a 10/10 for me. The winner was the Sizzling Pork Sisig, which was absolutely fantastic! It had bits of chopped chicken liver, which enhanced the taste of the crispy pork belly. It was such a delicious dish that I was tempted to order even more. Overall, an 11/10 and a MUST-TRY! The Halo-Halo was delicious and not overly sweet. It tasted like standard Halo-Halo and I enjoyed it. It was a 10/10. This was such a great spot and the staff was amazing and attentive. We met Jumbo, who is the chef, and he was wonderful. We also met Reymond, the owner, who was very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this spot if you live in the area or find yourself around the area as we did. Such tasty food with generous serving for great prices!

Do you serve lunch and dinner buffet?

Hello Brian! Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately we don't do buffets anymore unless it's for private parties.

Is the sisig on a hot plate for dine in 2021?

I think you could ask for a plate, but when I got it, the food was served on to go packages with paper plates for dine in. That was about mid-2021.

For the boodle fight, it's $30pp.. is it the same price for kids (what age?)

Hi! It's actually free of charge for kids 3 and under. Kids above 3 are same as adults.

How much is the weekend buffet for children? Is it $18 like for the adults?

The weekend price for an 8 year old child is $9. A 15 year old child pays full price which is $18.

Someone said this place is closed down. Is that true?

No, they are still open they are close on Monday and Tuesday but open on Wednesday-Sunday. Definitely worth checking out.

The place is a quiet restaurant tucked away in the corner of a strip mall and the service from beginning to end was very kind. The menu was borderline overwhelming because there were so many choices. You almost have to go in with a game plan. They have street food style cuisine, large plates, and a ton of options. The good news is that out of everything I tried, they were all delicious, so I don't know that there's a bad game plan to be made here. Everything was very well-balanced and had great depth of flavors. This is also the type of restaurant where when they say spicy, it means spicy, so just be forewarned. Awesome spot and would totally recommend if you're in the area.

The Laotian papaya salad was SO good and tasted very authentic. We got level 2 spice, and it was definitely spicy, but in a really good way. I hope they keep the spice levels that way because it really keeps things authentic. The only thing I was missing was the little fermented baby crabs! We also ordered the basil chili crisp pork belly dish and the Pad Thai Supreme, and both were excellent. Portions were big enough that we had leftovers. Such a cute, clean restaurant with friendly service. I'm already addicted to the papaya salad and will definitely be coming back!
