This location does not have seating, so, like many other Mattos, it is a grab-and-go affair. This location is clean and hygienic. Everything is advertised as costing $2.50, but that is if you order through the app ($3.50 at the cashier). However, the staff was really nice and patient as some of the members in my group downloaded and ordered through the app instead. At my other visits, I've had the coffees which are very good, especially given the price. They rotate some unique flavors from time to time, which can be a hit or a miss (keeping in mind the price), but the classics they do exceptionally well. Plus, they do not charge extra for non-dairy alternatives. I had a cold-pressed "energy booster" juice, while one friend had the cold-pressed "skinny green" juice and another the strawberry lemonade. The energy booster was good, but left an almost medicinal aftertaste. Overall, we all enjoyed our beverages. It doesn't matter at which location or what time the staff is always very courteous and professional. The best thing is I could get a redeye and an impossible sandwich for five dollars. I've been visiting this place a lot since it opened because of its ongoing free coffee promotion! The barista is super friendly and pretty quick when making the drinks. My favorite drink so far has been the iced latte with oat milk! The espresso really shines and goes well with the oat milk. Plus it doesn't destroy my stomach since it's lactose-free haha This time I got an iced Americano and an Almond Chocolate Croissant. The iced americano was pretty refreshing! I do wish it was a bit stronger but hey -- it was free. The almond croissant was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside :) the barista heated up for me so the chocolate on the inside was a bit melted and gooey which was delicious! There were sliced almonds on top which added a nice crunch! It was not the best croissant I ever had but for the price point ($2.75), it was pretty worth! I believe almost everything on the menu is $2.75 but if you use the app to pay, all items are $2! There's also a $4 minimum charge if you want to use a credit card! I love the coffee, I love the baked goods BUT l can't get over some of the employees attitudes. One time a man closed 30 min earlier and sat on his phone, another day that same man walked out on the store to hang out at the lash spot next door. I was alone in the shop for at least 5 min waiting for him to return. Today, a woman looked at me like I had 3 heads (literally up and down with attitude) when I asked for a toasted muffin with butter & did not make me feel welcome. By the way she never put the butter or explained why she couldn't, she barely toasted it for a few seconds and bagged it. It's unfortunate how employees can really effect a persons decision making when simply wanting to get a coffee. As a runner I run by this place all the time and have taken picturesque few times to try to remember to go back. The front has an ad for a banana latte which caught my eye ( i mean i'm not gonna order it i just found it unique). I saw a tiktok about how everything at this place is $2 this past week and was determined to go review it. My boyfriend and I went on Saturday and I got a latte and he got a hot tea. They were out of the sleeves and he made a comment that it's affordable but at what cost (haha dramatic I think his tea was just hot). We paid over $2 but went back the next day and he got an iced matcha and I got a strawberry lemonade. We downloaded the app this time and when you order through the app everything of any size is $2!!!!!! with any non dairy milk!!! that's wild as I've been paying $7 for a medium iced latte at my local Joe and the Juice everyday. I asked the barista how they're making money and she joked it's all about giving you guys what you want and when you get the app you get two free items. She mentioned they've been opening locations all over the city. They also have a great assortment of pastries. I've only tried the potato borek, which is a Turkish potato-filled phyllo pastry - it's something I'd never heard of before so I was intrigued. The borek is very savory and not something I typically want first thing in the morning, but nevertheless still delicious, especially when eaten warm (they'll heat it up for you if you ask).
