I recently moved to Longwood and after finding Max and Meme, I am recommending it to all my friends as a great casual family brunch spot. Hearty portions, fresh and fast cooking, and friendly service all have me coming back for more. I'd recommend the Greek omelette, hash browns, and club sandwich. Their bread is baked fresh and delicious. My wallet loves this place too. They even have $4 mimosas. They were out of some items when I last visited and sadly no longer carry the pancake sticks advertised on their Yelp check in. Otherwise, this is a great casual brunch spot.

extensive menu, looks like great options but the food just isn't great. Service was slow despite not being busy. The food had so much water in it, it wasn't even oily or any kind of flavorful juice, just more like water. My texmex didn't come with avocado and only 1 tortilla. The shrimp and grits was good besides the excess water. The kids $8 pancake was not worth it. Could have gotten an entire meal for that price. One and done!

Great service! Cool find in Longwood, not far from the Hourglass Brewery. I was in the mood for breakfast AND lunch and they had this crispy chicken omelet. That's a first! Really large and delicious! Cute ambiance! #omelet #chicken #breakfast #cuteambiance #orlandoeats #local #orlandobreakfast #yummy

I love me some mom and pop restaurants, sometimes a break from the chain of typical restaurants is needed. A friend of ours recommended this place to meet up since they are regulars here. I was glad that we got here pretty early, because they filled up pretty fast! When you drive by the restaurant, their sign advertises big ASSet of Pancakes and omelets, and mimosas are served all day! So I wanted to see how big these pancakes were, so I took a look at the various options, and decided on the best sounding pancake; the bacon pancake. The order comes with 2 pancakes, and at first I was disappointed because I feared that I'd still be hungry, not knowing how big the pancake actually were, but once the plate was dropped in front of me, I knew I had no need to worry as these pancakes could be split amongst two people! They were cooked well, and the bacon was nice and crispy on the inside! I definitely got my filling for sure! So I'm giving Max and Memes three stars because the service lacked after receiving our food. Our server was nice, however it got the point that our beverages weren't refilled, nor were any empty plates picked up. When a table has every seat filled, that can cause a crowded table. Would I give Max and Meme another visit, absolutely! I would just hope for better service on my next visit.

    Carolina Crunchy Chicken Sandwich

I've been here a few times and finally am getting a chance to get a review up. This is your run of the mill breakfast/brunch/lunch spot with no frills. Waitresses and waiters are friendly and you get what you pay for. I ordered their Carolina Crunchy Chicken Salad and it was good. Salad was fresh and the chicken was actually pretty crunchy AND tasty. Loved the breading. It just wasn't something I'd go back for. My son got the chicken and waffles and I believe the chicken he got was was the same chicken on my salad. The hubby ordered a burger and his bottom bun was so soggy from the burger he has to request a new one. Finally, my youngest got a tuna sandwich and sadly, it didn't have much flavor. We're used to making it with a good amount of mayo and some sweet relish! Oh yes, BTW, the check in offer has not been valid for a couple years.

Eggs Benedict had tomato on it. It made the muffin soggy.

Loved the $3.99 mimosas. That was my fave. The country fried steak was good, but I've had larger portions for cheaper. My other guest did not like the eggs Benedict at all. The tomato on there made the English muffin soggy. When questioned why tomato was on there, the answer was "that's how eggs Benedict is made". Hmmmm. Not a classic one but ok. The mini golf course is cute.

All I needed was to see their sign advertising "Big A** Pancakes and Omelettes". I immediately had to try them and get one or both of those things. We walked in and were seated immediately by a young man named Franc who seemed to be all alone taking care of six tables at once. However, he was on top of it all. One quibble we had was that they were out of OJ. Truly no big deal, we can deal with that. I just happened to be craving it this morning. When checking in via Yelp, there's an offer (at least currently) for a free order of pancake sticks. Franc informed us that this item is no longer available, so instead he offered a single pancake. We took him up on the offer. That thing is huge. Took up the full plate and was nice and fluffy and in no way heavy on the stomach. I ordered the "loaded" omelette which was amazing- so much sausage, ham, bacon and cheese inside. Almost more filling than egg. For nicely butter pieces of toast and hash browns. My son got the M&M Club which was a great, triple layered sandwich with thick enough slices of ham and turkey that he could have eaten them as his meal. He mistakenly got the potatoes as his side after ordering fruit - but Franc immediately fixed that.) the potatoes were crisp and tasty and the fruit fresh. All this good for less than $30 was a great deal. Will be back.

Banana Stuffed French Toast w/ banana

Trendy this place is not but it's simple breakfast dishes are comforting and make you feel like a member of the family. The menu stays true to the classics and doesn't stray into anything upscale. It's perfect for lazy Sunday mornings when you just can't summon the energy to whip up a meal. Now, while my Sunday mornings are lazy, Max and Meme's are anything but. This place draws a large Sunday morning crowd! Luckily we were able to be seated and served fairly quickly in spite of the masses. The couple of servers working this morning held it down very well considering how much hustle they had to put forth. I appreciated the fact that our server left a large carafe of hot coffee on our table so we could refresh our cups as needed. After topping off my coffee one or two times, I was presented with the perfect plate of banana stuffed French toast. The bread was crisp and the bananas plentiful! What I loved most was the contrast of the mild cheese filling to the sweetness of strawberry syrup topping. The textures and taste added up to a perfect balance. I can't wait to come back to max and meme's kitchen for some more breakfast classics. I'll definitely go for an omelette or pancake next time BUT next time might have to be on a weekday for me. Hopefully it isn't as crowded. I was happy to wait for a table but not so happy that the tables were crowded so close together. Due to the popularity, max and meme pack em in. LITERALLY. The tables were so close together that I could hear my dining neighbors convos loud and clear. I probably could've asked them to pass the salt and pepper. I wouldn't call this a deal breaker though! Just a reason to avoid peak times. Everything else is spot on down to the prices. If you are breakfasting or brunchin on weekends though, be cool with the closeness.

This is my first visit I got a egg sandwich on wheat with bacon and hash browns with an Ice Coffee to go. Amazing taste just what I was looking for! Very friend staff, super clean and cute! Definitely coming back!

Having a hard time picking 2-3 stars. Was suppose to get chocolate chip but they were plain. Let them know and then received chocolate chip pancakes that were overcooked. Eggs and bacon were good! Service was ok.

He was nice but appeared to need more training to be up to par for the price point. The decor was nice inside but the location does not give a good first impression and cheapens the experience. It is located in an older shopping plaza and is unkept. I think they are trying for a speakeasy vibe but it isn't being pulled off. The second time we went, we made a reservation to listen to their live music with some appetizers and a cocktail. It was spontaneous as we found ourselves child-free for the night at the last minute. Upon arrival we were told that 'we have a dress code and shorts are not allowed.' Mind you, the dress code says 'no gym shorts' and we didn't have on gym shorts or athletic wear. We weren't dressed up but were wearing decent outfits and nice shoes (no sandals of any kind). Needless to say, there will not be a third visit. Do not recommend.

But there is a cute neon sign that's lit and says "yes this is the place". Pretty funny. So first things first: the location is weird. However the atmosphere and decor inside is very well done. You open the door and are immediately greeted by the host/hostess. It's dark and moody. You turn to the right and suddenly you are in a very swanky environment. You forget where you parked in no time. The drinks: bottle of Tapestry, bees knees with tequila since they ran out of gin. They also ran out of St. Germaine liquor son only two rounds of putting on the fits, the fireside cinnamon sip, an old fashion and a espresso martini. They were all deliciously hand crafted and made to order.. The food: we were a group of 6 ladies and we ordered the Georgia peach salad, the tomato bisque (soup of the day) homemade bread (supposed to be focaccia but was actually French bread), salmon, cheese wheel pasta with shrimp, lobster linguine (I believe), filet and the cheese wheel with filet. For dessert: some molten chocolate (which burned my finger to no one's fault by my own as they did warn me) and the apple pie. The standouts: Georgia peach salad and tomato bisque, salmon & the cheese wheel pasta. As well as both desserts. Additional note: the service was great. The attention to detail to accommodate our coats and purses was thoughtful The cons: who charges $3 for a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese ? The chef is Italian and didn't think that the lobster one should have cheese on it. That's strange. Was it worth the hefty price tag - probably not Would I go again? Maybe for their happy hour but probably not for dinner.

I've had experiences at certain First Watch franchise locations that left me questioning not only the meal, but several of my life choices leading up to it. So when I walked into this location in the Fern Park/Casselberry (Altamonte Springs) area, I'll admit it... I came in cautiously optimistic at best. Thankfully, this visit reminded me why the chain became popular in the first place. Right away, the staff stood out for being personable and genuinely pleasant. Not the robotic "corporate friendly" where someone smiles while dead behind the eyes. Actual warm, attentive service that made the place feel welcoming. And here's something restaurant owners should probably frame on the wall because it's becoming weirdly rare these days: the food was cooked correctly and served hot. Hot. As in actually warm when it hit the table and not sitting under a heat lamp long enough to qualify for Social Security. I ordered the omelette, and it absolutely hit the spot. Comfort food done properly. Fluffy, flavorful, filling, and exactly what I wanted breakfast to be. My daughter ordered the steak and egg hash, and visually... let's just say this isn't a dish entering any beauty pageants. It kind of arrives looking like breakfast got into a small argument with itself. But one bite in and none of that mattered. It was rich, hearty, luscious, and cooked just right. The kind of dish where every bite feels indulgent enough that you briefly stop caring about cholesterol or responsibility. This location honestly felt dialed in. The kitchen was on point, the service was strong, and the overall experience reminded me that consistency is what separates a good restaurant visit from a forgettable one. Because of my mixed history with First Watch overall, I can't quite bring myself to throw five stars into the air like confetti... but this particular location absolutely earned four stars and deserves credit for getting it right.

At this location when we recently met friends here, the best part of our visit was Vivian, our server. She was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and open to food options not on the menu. Specifically, one in our party asked for a side of quinoa, if possible, since this gluten-free food was not under the Sides menu. Vivian checked in back and happily delivered a small bowl of fresh quinoa. Secret menu item? I don't think so, but Vivian asked and made it happen! My wife and I ordered the Salmon with sautéed vegetables Frittata and the salad, and I chose the artisan bread. The frittatas were cooked just right and the sautéed veggies enhanced the Sockeye salmon, flavor-wise. The artisan bread was fresh and the slightly melted butter was just right. I also ordered the "Sunrise Project" coffee which comes in a carafe - I'm a big fan. Our table's orders arrived in a reasonable amount of time, accurately, and at the right temperature. Vivian kept us taken care of during our meal and with a genuine cheery attitude. The interior is bright, modern, and open up to the roof. The plentiful seating is a combination of tables and booths. Located separately was a juice and coffee bar. MISC East Altamonte Drive (SR 436) can be a challenge at times to enter into the parking lot and exit back on it.
