Still a consistently affordable mani pedi place along Westwood Blvd. I can only speak on how amazing Tina is for regular mani, pedi and waxing. Been coming here now for 10 years! Tina treats you like family. If you're concerned about hygiene, you may want to bring your own tools/files/scrubbers tho! although I haven't had an issue in all this time haha! Essie/OPI selection is good, not amazing. Not sure they have really mastered the whole "gel" craze. But I'm always satisfied when I leave and every time I have gone elsewhere I have compared it to how Tina takes care of me at MB and no one else meets my picky needs! Seriously, for $25 mani/pedi, you can't go wrong. If you can't get Tina, Lee is a good back up. Van is the go to woman for acrylics. There is an ATM inside for cash only tips, a Chase across the street (and starbucks for you coffee fiends). read more

I really enjoyed my experience at MB Nails today. Just as the other Yelpers have mentioned, THE PRICE IS RIGHT! I got a Spa Pedicure for $17. A woman named Tina did my nails and she was very sweet asking if I was comfortable, relaxed, OK, if I liked the color....and even provided me with a pair of the paper flip-flops to get to my car (not b/c of my painted toes but b/c my stupid sandals gave me a nasty blister today when I went to the beach) There was A LOT of employees waiting for customers so there was virtually no waiting time. I like that a lot. The only reason they didnt get 5 stars from me was b/c their selection of colors was pretty cruddy. I also noticed a "regular customer" got a color out of a special cabinet. I guess I am not eligible yet for that special treatment. But on a side note, I am going to start bringing my own color....I love OPI; Lincoln Park After Dark. :) The hours here awesome too! Parking in the small lot in front (although the spaces are narrow) -- you can find more parking in their underground parking. There is a beauty supply store next door, if you want to buy your own color so you have it for touch ups. MB has a good selection of colors, including some OPI and Essie. I love this place. I've been going here since they opened. The salon is owned by 9 Vietnamese sisters who are 1st generation immigrants but all of them are Americans now. If you ever heard the story of how these women got here and how they survived to live the American Dream.....you'd go there and support them every week. They are amazing women with an amazing story of survival. I won't post their story -- it is too personal and too private. But take it from me -- its a story like nothing you've ever heard before that will bring "American Dream" tears to your eyes. read more

Ive had pink and whites that lasted for a couple weeks at least. The spa chairs are great and it's an easy location to get to. Their color selection wasn't all that great, but at least they had their basic colors and some funky fun colors to choose from. It was a little more than I wanted to pay for the place and the lack of selection. read more

I had been coming here for quite awhile but last time, I watched the gal put the used cuticle cutter back into her box of "clean tools". The tool she had just used on my toes and the one that can sometimes draw blood if not used right. This freaked me out. I won't be back as I witnessed that and it made me wonder just what else is going on that I didn't see. Scary! read more

It's been over 17 years since I last came to this place! I was living in LA and used to come here for a regular mani/pedi. I'm in town just for vacation and decided to hit up on my old nail shop! Although this place is nothing fancy and isn't anything like where I've been going to now in IL, I was happy to see the staff be so accommodating and friendly as I remember. It wasn't the best mani/pedi, but again, coming to my old stomping grounds and also the fact the staff was so pleasant, I left happy. This place is cheap, pretty clean and friendly. But in all honesty if you are looking for something spectacular, lets just say you get what you pay for! I would probably look for a new place if I lived in the area again, however I would definitely keep this as a back up since I know I can rely on their service! Oh, I do have to mention as I remember, parking was always bad, and that has Not changed... this parking lot is tiny! read more

I used to go to Bellacures and was increasingly disappointed by the quick chipping. MB may not be luxurious but their manis and pedis last, the manicurists are lovely and remember you and their gels are amazing. Highly recommended read more

Mary is the BEST! She makes sure she gets all your cuticles out and she takes her time with you. You don't feel rush at all. She's the sweetest! I highly recommend you go and see Mary. She's always booked up, so call first and make an appointment. She's not in on Tuesdays. read more

Worst place by far!! I went to get my acrylics removed. The lady cut my nails way too short, so much so it hurt. I told her not too short but 7 of my nails were cute so short she had to put antiseptic on after. On one of my thumbs she must have dug too deep with the cuticle nipper to remove the acrylic nail. You are probably wondering why I didn't leave but I had an event the next day and I wouldn't have had time to fix them so i don't have half off nails. I am paranoid about infection so I am now stuck putting on antibacterial on them every hour and a bandaid on my thumb to prevent infection. Oh, and here I was worried about how my nails would like for the event. read more

first of all, terrible overpriced service . i came here to get a full set & the lady who did my nails rushed because she had an appointment.... so my nails were thick as hell & not even. dye to her not making sure they were even & then, they ended up coming off in 3 days . normally if you were to remove acrylics after three days, its would be an excruciating painful experience. but after two nails had popped right off i decided to take off all my nails & they all came off so easy . the lady who put the gel polish on my nails after that lady did a rushed horrible job , the gel was applied shitty too !! a full set should take an hour not 30 mins . then they tried charging me 60$ for this horrible acrylics! she said 40 for the full set & 20 for the gel .... wtf ? when has anyone ever paid 40 for a plain full set , thats how much i usually pay for the gel included. and to make it worse , she specifically told me earlier the gel was 15$ extra . and there was a price on the wall saying 35$ for a gel full set so i dont kno why they thought they could try to overcharge me . im a 20 year old student who obviously doesnt have a lot of money so they must try to take advantage of everyone . all in all this was the worst nails i have ever gotten !! i used to get my nails done in a close by nail salon next to STARBUCK and across PETCO on WESTWOOD. my nail lady wasn't there and they were busy on that day (i usually call in for appointment but i didn't so...). anyway, i was wandering around and decided to try MB nails. and i did. it was a bad decisions though. their prices r some what the same as my old salon. i forgot what her name was but she gave me a horrible pedicure. she used the tools that are not sealed in a disinfected pouch. i noticed there was an old piece of nail from the previous customer stuck inside the clipper. she finished my pedicure in 15 mins. they used cheap polishes though. i used to get OPI and ESSIE at my old place. the color faded and chip off in 2 days because i saw the lady put acetone in the polish bottle. so i'm not sure i wana come back to this place. i should have waited for a few minutes at my old place to get a decend and quality pedicure. read more
