Haven't been back to a McAllister's in a few years since I tried the Beavercreek location and then moved away. Debated between my go-to which is Panera, but decided to try this location for dinner. They seem to have way more options than I remember! I got the savannah salad and chipotle chicken sandwich. The salad was really good, on par with the Fuji Apple I usually get at Panera. The sandwich was tasty too; reminded me of a bbq chicken pizza but in a sandwich form. Would love to have gotten sweet tea or lemonade and one of the giant marshmallow bars but I can't justify that many calories! Service was fine; took a bit longer than I thought being that it was almost empty but it was made fresh. Will be back to try more options for sure. read more

We ordered two chef salads at the Miller Lane Dayton Ohio location September 11th. The first chef salad with thousand island dressing was fine; the second with Caesar dressing had no meat, it was greens, tomatoes, croutons and cheese. We called and spoke with the deli and they said they put the meat on and that we were mistaken. There was no attempt to apologize or anything else, basically saying we were wrong! They have mouthwash in the restrooms!!!!!!! The service is fabulous! Baked potatoes are cooked perfectly! They make some yummy mac and cheese and sandwiches too. We sat on the patio. Decent. First time in here. Reminds me of Panera. I ordered the grilled chicken club and potato salad. They had a good flavor and were brought to me in a timely manner. Only negative is the food portions. The sandwich was small as was the bowl of potato salad. I'd try this place again and order a wrap or salad to see how they are. read more

I have ordered from this location 2x in the past 3 moths. The first time, someone had stolen my meal from the pickup shelf. I used almost my entire lunch period waiting for them to remake my order. This time, I ordered 4 items: half a sandwich, half a veggie spud, a drink and a cookie. I got the cookie and the drink. The spud was a chicken bacon ranch spud - as far from veggie as you could get. And no cookie. The receipt has a checklist to mark off items as they go into the bag! It wasn't used. When I called to complain, I was asked to come back. I couldn't as I had already returned to work. I asked for a refund and was told he couldn't do that. He said he would take my name and compensate when I came back in. So - i have multiple bad experiences and you want me to come there again instead of refunding my money for your mistakes? The food is really good. The back of the house is doing their job. The problem is with the front of the house. The girls taking orders, serving the tables and placing orders on the pickup shelf seem to feel that their socializing takes priority. Too busy chatting amongst themselves or on their phones while people are WAITING to pick up orders! And to not even acknowledge them is even more egregious. I personally stood for 10 minutes waiting for my order, that I was notified was ready but was not on the pickup shelf. Not one person asked if I'd been helped when it was EXTREMELY obvious that I am waiting. Come to find out, my order was sitting in a corner behind the register, separated from any other order, personally ordered or ordered online through Uber Eats or Door Dash. There was no sign or indication that my order would need to be asked for to collect. It's pretty sad that the front of the house's lack of professionalism and customer service sets the mood, expectations and experience for the whole store. read more

We had dinner on Saturday, June 17, 2017. The cashier was apathetic and slow. He acted annoyed there were more customers. Mind you, the restaurant was not full. Once he took our order, we waited in the outdoor dining area. I held the order number to be sure we weren't passed over. Ten minutes later, I went in. The cashier was annoyed and said they would come soon. Five minutes after that, our food came. It was adequate, so I give them two stars. We've enjoyed other McCallister's, but we'll think twice before coming back to this one. Rude and slow are not a good mix. read more

I'm on record as rather liking McAlister's Deli in general, though the trip down to Beavercreek often tends to be a touch long for what amounts to essentially soup and a sandwich (even a really good sandwich!). However, when word started spreading of another location opening up on Miller Lane, I was more than pleased. A McAlister's closer to me? Yes, please! Jules and I headed there today and, honestly, the place must just have opened. However, while the Beavercreek location seemed to have some "growing" pains, the staff at the Miller Lane location really seemed to have their ducks in a row. We were greeted at the door by a server, then greeted cordially again by the fellow who took our order, who was more than happy to crack jokes with us even as he took our order. I ordered my 'usual' at McAlisters--a Big Nasty, with fruit salad and a cup of chicken tortilla soup. All these came out precisely to expectation, which really tells me that they've got control of their kitchen. While our wait for food was a touch longer than some of our visits to the Beavercreek location, I attributed this to the new opening procedures and the fact that the restaurant was nearly packed as we entered at nearly 8pm. That, in and of itself, is pretty impressive. These guys really are doing right by the sandwich trade. Give them a run if you haven't already! read more

We've eaten here many times since they recently opened and were pleased every time. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is good and portion sizes just right (except for the spuds, which are HUGE). Our favorites so far are the Cobb Club Sandwich and Spicy Southwest Chicken Griller. Went for lunch wife the wife and her parents. Nice environment, and the staff were all very friendly. Food was served quickly even though it was fairly busy. We waited just a few minutes. The food all tasted great! Everyone at our table loved their meals. I had the Southwest Turkey Melt, and it was one of the better ones I've had from any McAlister's! It was my wife's parents' first visit. They really liked it as well, and were already talking about what they wanted to try the next time they came back. Great food, great service, great environment. I'm literally sitting in this ridiculous excuse for an eatery as I type this. Waited in line 25 minutes. Ordered food at 1:01 PM. It is now 1:40 PM. Location is about 3/4 full. Food is being brought out in drips and drabs, with some getting their food and some not by what appears to be a lottery system. Staff is astoundingly indifferent. I'd avoid this overpriced train wreck at all costs. Update: Food arrived at 1:46. Spoke to manager, who said, "We're busy. What to you expect me to do?" Very new and clean. Employees friendly and attentive. Food kind of expensive but good and large potions. Wish fountain drinks were self service and wi-if was available. They forgot all of our sides and didn't give us any of the pickles that are supposed to come with our sandwiches. This avocado cost $2 extra. My flight was late and I was looking to find something open to grab some food. Was lead to believe by the website that they were open until 10 pm on Mondays. I walked all the way from the hotel, trying to get there before 10. Arrived a little before 9:30, the times on the door said open til 10, but they were already closed, and by the looks of it had been for some time. This caused them to be dry and somewhat burnt. If we weren't so far away we would have returned them. There is also a lot of waste in their to go packaging. First it took nearly a half hour to be served our food after ordering at the counter. I had a Reuben which was luke warm,very plain, and not very flavorful . My wife had a baked potato which she said was dry and lacked flavor. The kids each got the Mac and cheese, a fairly small portion served with a bag of chips. Overall, not a place I would return to. I absolutely love this place as far as delis go. Lots of delis don't have many options, but this place does! Love their veggie club sandwich. I believe it had some avocado as well. I also have gotten their baked potatoes before. From what I remember, it was a large portion size and delicious! If you're in the mood for a sweet treat, be sure to grab a cookie on the way out. Best part about this location - the mouthwash located in the bathroom! We had stopped here on our way to Cleveland so it was great to not have onion breath for the next two hours. Placed a to go order by calling a local number. Picked up the order, got back to work, the entire order was wrong! Frustrated, I called the local number that I first called to place the order... Asked for a supervisor, was on hold for 40 min! Hung up, called back, only to find out this local number was a call center and not the store! She tried calling the store to no avail, I tried calling the store, no answer and went straight to a voicemail box "that has not been set up". I left a review on their page, and a store manager did call me. However, before that, I called their 800 number for "customer service" and had the most ATROCIOUS and UNPROFESSIONAL conversations! I asked the store manager to get someone from corporate to contact me about my issues with the store, call center and customer service... It's been three weeks, and I have heard nothing from them! I will never eat here again. I am so suprised they could not care less about making a long time customer satisfied! read more

Don't get the veggie spud over loaded with cheese and a small amount of veggies. I pulled most of the so called cheese of the top. Also I checked in at 9:11 I got my food and drink at 9:32. Was shopping at Walmart. On my way out, I decided I was thirsty and stopped next door at McAlisters for some tea. I walked up to the "To Go" sign and was promptly told that it was only for call-in orders. The restaurant near my home allows all carry out orders to be placed there. Look closely at your receipt at this location don't expect good service. I walked up to the counter and was just stared at by the cashier, my wife and I ordered two meals with the side of soup. We were charged for an extra dollar for each meal and full price for the soup. Basically, we were charged twice for the same item. I tried to explain this to the cashier and was met with the standard blank expression. This may be an isolated event but I'm not there to deal with some robot and get overcharged. McAlister's should embrace the idea of it takes years to get a loyal customer and seconds to lose one. read more
