Love the tea bar with free refills! I have only had the spuds, but they're always cooked perfectly and HUGE.

So many great sandwich choices and of course the tea. The sweet tea is perfect. The only place I like to drink tea is McAlister's. I love trying all the different sandwiches and my wife loves the salad so it's a win win. I love this location at the mall. Great to go to before or after a movie. read more

I really like the variety of the menu. I used to be a loyal Panera Bread customer but the service there has really gone down. I really enjoy the large portions at McAlister's as well. We stopped by for a quick family dinner with our two young daughters. The manager promptly greeted us and provided much better service than I would expect from any restaurant. Because I was carrying a car seat, and my wife was holding our oldest daughter, he carried our drinks to the table for us. He also brought a sling and booster seat just in case we needed them. As for the food, I had the Spud Ole and the Smoky Pepper Jack Turkey sandwich. Both were delicious. My wife also enjoyed her Spud and Spicy Southwest Chicken sandwich. I was here with my bf last Sat to grab something quick after my hair appointment. I had the vege club. 1 of the 4 sandwiches on my plate had a strand of hair on it which threw me off. I'm a lil antsy when it comes to hygiene and presentation. I went up to the manager and he asked no questions. Refunded my entire bill and gave me 2 free vouchers for my next visit. This was by far the worst McAllister's I have ever been to. Though there was no line to order (because it was mid afternoon), EVERY table except for the 7-8 tables with people dining at them in the main dining area had leftover plates, food, and trash on them. Only one employee was sweeping the floors and there was no rush to clean any of the tables so we could sit down and not see someone else's leftover lunch. The pick up area/small dining room looked more like a delivery drop off zone. We waited over 30 minutes to get our lunch....not to mention the AC was trying to compete with Antarctica. Usually most of the staff is very sweet. But there's a group of them who act very negatively when I come in. I find it weird that someone in leadership allows for their team members to be in crappy moods and they also are in one. I really loved the food here but it seems it's slowly starting to become worse each time. I do appreciate the few who always greet me with a smile but sadly I do not feel the same towards the ones who make it a horrible experience as they did today for me. 25 minutes to get 1/2 a sandwich and a cup of soup is pathetic. The Italian sandwich was microwaved. The bread was like trying to eat a sponge. I eat at the store in Hamilton town center at least once a week and service and food is always great. read more

Food was good and fresh, costumer service however is another story. As soon as we walked in for lunch around noon today there was a male employee cursing and shouting at another female employee. What seemed to be the manager (was wearing a blue striped collar uniform with a hat) gave that employee the look so he would stop since there were costumers right infront of him. We both just minded our business and continued to look at the menu. We were waiting for him to say something like "I can take your order whenver you are ready" or "i can take you right here" but he proceeded to just stand there. After about 2 mins of that we walked up to the counter and I asked "is this where we order?" And he goes "I guess" and rolled his eyes. Then as I'm ordering he is interrupting me and saying "what else" etc. then he just asked me "side." Instead of just saying "and for your side?". he didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink. When my boyfriend took his turn to order he starts getting irritated and goes "man what do u want as your side" even though he had just finished saying what he wanted for his sandwich. I understand people have bad days but this guy was just straight up rude and almost aggressive. Definitely won't be coming back to this location again. Only reason for the 3 stars was that the man who brought our food to our table was kind and it was made fresh and really good. read more

We ordered from McCallister's today through Grub Hub and the order was completely wrong. I called to speak to the manager at McCallister's and he was rude and dismissive. Blamed it on the Grub Hub delivery gwhich is ridiculous. It's your responsibility to handover the correct items in an order. I don't want someone outside of the restaurant opening my food to check that my order is correct. We are at the Cancer Center with our friend who is getting Chemo for four hours and we were looking forward to enjoying lunch with her and our order was screwed up. The manager offered nothing. Honestly a sincere "I am really sorry" would have been sufficient, but I was greeted with attitude and condescension. Boooooo to the manager on duty 3/6/2020 11:00 am. Very very rude. Please work on your customer service skills. You never know what the person is going through on the other side and why the right food is important. By the way it seems they write someone will reach out and no one gets in touch with you. What a scam! read more

This is a great dining spot for the Castleton Square Mall. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and, even though it was crowded, the manager had the place running like a well-oiled machine. This is important since McAlister's semi sit-down model requires staff to get drink refills and bus tables. Overall, the food was pretty good too. I like that you can get fresh fruit as a side. It sure beats the mealy apples they serve at Panera. read more

Honestly some of the RUDEST staff ever. Save your money and go to Panera. There's a middle aged lady with a dark brown bowl haircut who is beyond rude all the time. My drink still had ice frozen it in it that I had gotten a couple hours earlier and I walked in for a refill and she refused. read more

Love this chain, HATE this location. Manager has no control, some of the employees really do care but have no idea what they're supposed to be doing, the rest seem to genuinely dislike the customers. Have tried this place multiple times with the same result. I'm sure they will stay in business due to their location but despite themselves. If you choose to eat here just be prepared to wait much longer than expected, to ask for your food several times, and to leave feeling like you never want to do that again. In general the food here is usually fine, but nothing special. Today was the second time in the past few months that I have ordered soup in a bread bowl. I find that when you get soup in a bread bowl you only end up with about 4 to 5 spoonfuls of soup which seems kind of expensive when you pay about eight dollars. They seem to insist that you get an entire bowl of soup in there but that is definitely not the case. Further the last two times the bread bowl has been very cold as if it has recently been taken out of the freezer. One time part of the bread was still actually frozen. It was unappetizing to look at because it literally looked like somebody just ripped the bread out of the center to make the bowl and it was all squished around the edges. Their soup is good but the execution is pretty awful. Lastly, when you order the seasonal soup special it is not clearly marked anywhere that it costs a dollar extra. read more

A few of us from our office have ordered from them a few times and every time they can't seem to get our orders correct!! They never give us what we've ordered and PAID for and they won't answer the phone or if they do they put you on hold and never return to get a refund!! The food is cold and hard and they never send you a straw with the overly priced drinks. They have to be one of the worse places to order food from....don't do it!!!! read more

Usually eat here on regular basis. But probably won't any more. Very disappointed with the online order I placed today. I work in the Castleton area so I ordered online. Got the pick 2 like I normally do. Got back to work and they hadn't given me any silverware, had to scrounge around asking people at work to get a fork - king of hard to eat a baked potato with no silverware. Only thing I usually get on my baked potato is cheese & bacon. Normally the bacon comes on it and it is warm when I get it, but this time they gave me a little cup of cold bacon on the side. Needless to say didn't even put it on - who wants cold bacon on a warm baked potato? I asked for extra sour cream and all they gave me was one little black cup with maybe 1 teaspoon of sourcream in the bottom of it. Wasn't even enough for 2 bites of my baked potato. So, ended up throwing the potato away because it was to dry with no butter or sour cream. Think I'll just stick to fast food for lunch up here - I can get a dried out baked potato any where. read more

Tried it again today for lunch with a couple co-workers. Unfortunately it was the same result as the last time I ate there. Food was good as usual once we got it, but was super slow (another 25 min wait after ordering). Staff there seems nice, but there is definitely a disconnect somewhere. Would give 0 stars if I could. Walked in at 8:40 pm on 2/2/17. After the punk at the counter took our order, another lazy punk came up to him and said it had to be carry-out because they close at 9 pm. The sign says they are open until 9 pm. It didn't say all orders after 8:40 are carry-out only. The place smelled awful anyway. So we walked out. Won't be back. These two idiots will be so surprised when their store closes and they go back on welfare. read more
