Running behind schedule and as a last ditch we decided to grab some fast food for dinner. Ordered 2 large fries and while one of them was decently filled this was what our 2nd box looked like when we pulled it from the bag, and no we did not pick off the top before noticing how incredibly short changed the fries were. I want to give credit where credit is due. My last two visits through the drive-through were completely different from my earlier experience. The process was efficient, the staff seemed organized, and the food was hot and fresh both times. It felt like they had a brand-new team or a much better system in place. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Our order was completely wrong, and we waited over 10 minutes in the drive-thru with no apology or update on our food. When we finally received our order, the employee didn't greet us, was having a personal conversation with a coworker the entire time, and closed the window while I was still sitting there. A couple days later I called to speak with a manager and explain what happened. She was incredibly rude and dismissive, didn't give her name or listen to a word I said, told me the only thing I could do was "take the survey" on my receipt, and then hung up on me. I even offered to give her my phone number so she could call me back when it was a better time and she refused it, and said they were "just really busy right now." My husband said it smelled like a barn yard inside. Apple pie was ok. Coffee was weak compared to usual McDonalds standard. My McChicken sandwich was pretty good. It took about 15 min to get my order taken and another 15-20 min to get the order. The lady at the counter seemed frazzled and was trying to get orders out, but everything seemed to take a long time. read more

Based on today's experience, the franchise owner should sell! The manager appears to be in a panic After being asked to park(which usually means fresher, hotter food) and waiting their for 15-20 minutes, I received my order: French fries not fully cooked and lukewarm, a bacon double cheeseburger which had been made long enough ago that the bun was stale , and a regular double cheeseburger which was edible. Tried going here for breakfast & apparently, you can not walk inside & place your order at the counter with a human being. We were told that they are switching to lobby kiosks only (one out of 3 were functional) even the menu boards were not working. A staff member came out to help people with the kiosk, but, is not able to take a food order? The Deluxe Chicken sandwich had a ONE tiny end cut piece of an apparently very small tomato for the whole sandwich. They were out of ice at the ice machine so we got to just stand around and wait until a nice young lady gave us some ice, I need to mention whoever she was she was running around working very hard. I know it's a fast food restaurant but we wanted to try them again as it's been several months since we went there. We need to also mention that were NOT that busy. Workers sound like they are arguing with each other. Nothing is out anymore- like ketchup, cream, sugar etc. and then I can't get anyone working to even look at me to give me a ketchup packet. I went in today, September 28 2024 I ordered four sausage, egg and cheese McMuffins and a big breakfast with hotcakes also added cheese on the eggs. When I received my order, I did not get egg or cheese on my McMuffins nor did I get cheese on the eggs on the big breakfast. Took it all back and they slept on , two cold pieces of cheese across the sausage patty, which by the way was shredded to pieces, didn't even bother to melt the cheese and then they put the egg and cheese on the sausage McMuffins, which I feel they should have made it fresh. It's always a constant battle with this place, whoever it is can't follow simple directions. I don't think that's too much to ask for they need to do something about not hiring just anybody off the street people can actually read and write in English and understand. Management was nice about it and so was I, but by the time I would've gotten home, everything would've been cold so it was just best. I got my refund. read more

Just had the most transactional experience at this McDonalds. For the most part, I don't eat fast food but today I needed something more 'economical' to give me fuel. Placed an order for the $6.99 2 cheeseburger combo 'deal'. In return I got the tiniest cheese burgers with cute onion sprinkles and cold fries. Wasn't offered any napkins or ketchup. In fact I was in shock that nothing is out anymore. Is that how all McDonalds are now? And are they all anti front facing customer service now? I guess I'm writing to ask, who are the culprits for keeping McDonalds in business? Especially the Brookings McDonalds. Retirees? If so, stop it. Mcdonald's is one of my favorite fast food options. I pretty much know exactly what I am getting, it's always tasty, and I can choose healthier options if I desire. We took a drive to Brookings today to have lunch at the beach. The day was gorgeous! Sunny but yet perfect, not too hot, just as I like it! We did the Micky Dee drive through and took our food to the beach to enjoy in front of the crashing waves. I got my usual, the southwest grilled chicken salad, and the little hamburger. The salad was perfect! And so was the little burger. My family also liked their food. Drive through was fast and easy. No complaints here. I'd come back again if I was in the area. read more

Could use work around active listening. We ordered iced coffee, no milk, vanilla flavor. One worker heard coffee with vanilla, next worker tried to talk over us and made ice coffee with vanilla and cream. Then we pull forward for them to deliver it to our car, they send another employee out, and she accuses us of ordering it hot to begin with & how there's a huge price difference.
