I think this is the worst McDonald's I've been to, food was cold and it took 3 times back to the counter to get the order Wright...

We would like to commend and applaud Joshua and his staff for preparing some of the tastiest and most delicious hamburgers we have ever enjoyed at a McDonald's Restaurant! This particular McDonald's is in Brookings Oregon on Chetco Ave. I ordered my hamburger juicy. I abhor a meat patty that is so dry it looks dead! The word that best describes the burger that was presented to me from Joshua's kitchen, is perfection! Even though we do not live in Brookings, it is worth the forty-five-minute drive to receive such a fine hamburger as the one that Joshua and his crew prepared! Burnt muffins. Ice cold cheese. Undercooked soggy hash browns. And all for almost double the usual price! Disgusting!

Size of the food was ridiculous. White castle has bigger burgers than McDonald's. Also the prices are outrageous. It would have been cheaper to go anywhere else. I hate to bash on a company but I think it needs to be done at this point. My previous review had a complaint that after 8:00 pm there were a few items that weren't available even if I was willing to wait. But tonight the food and drink was subpar for even McDonald's. Let me be specific as to my order. I ordered a Filet O Fish meal,two cheeseburgers special order and 5 apple pies. I should have asked for a receipt but with snow I wasn't trapsing back to get my order corrected. Besides the Filet not being topped very well which I could have lived with,I was short two apple pies which meant two people didn't get what they wanted even though I paid for it. The worst of the order was the Dr. Pepper I ordered. It tasted like all carbonated water with a little syrup for color. It was so devoid of taste that I couldn't tell you if it was colored with a diet or regular flavored drink. To make it taste like something I added about 10 oz of straight Pepsi but even that couldn't save it. This Brookings location needs to seriously retrain the nightshift. Like I said I hate bashing a company. I would much rather give them a good review as most people want to know where to go not where to stay away from. read more

Stopped here on my way back to Medford. As I'm walking to the entrance there were 2 employees sitting on a bench by the door smoking. Really crappy way for people to walk in smelling cigarette smoke. Said something to the counter helper only to get blow off . Get a clue. My buddy ordered a meal to go. Got it right away. I ordered the same meal to go. Took 15 minutes to get it. So much for fast food. Way to much mustard and onions on my 1/4 pounder. Poor quality, lack of care, and letting employees smoke by the door. Not going to ever stop there again. Well, i normally dont eat at fast foods, but my visit today at the Brookings McDonalds will keep me away longer. Just stopped in for a quick bite. After receiving the food, there was no ice in the soda machine. I needed ketchup so I walked up to the counter and waited while the female manager had a private conversation on the phone and never notified any workers i was present. So even though they are extremely short staffed, the employees give it their best and are still very friendly and professional. With a new general manager the fries are always hot and fresh, anything I order is always fresh and delicious! The new owner and management are doing an amazing job!! Dude! I think I found the best deal ever! Breakfast for $1.99 with no tax! We had a sausage-mc-muffin, coffee, and a harsh brown for $1.99! Harsh brown was freshly, repeat FRESHLY made! Ok. So it's McDonald's, not gourmet here. But there should still be consistency as well as accuracy. No sauce for chicken nuggets, wrong orders, cold fries. We try to avoid here if possible. Today I ordered the artisan crispy chicken sandwich. When I peeked in the bag before we drove away it looked correct. When I opened up my sandwich, the box on the outside and inside says crispy, yet they gave me a grilled piece of chicken. Not only that but there is no mayonnaise or sauce to speak of. Dry and flat. Excellent fresh hot typical McDonalds fare. They actually bake their Cinnamon melts instead of microwaving them like other McDonalds do. I had their chicken biscuit this morning for breakfast, it was fresh and hot, I could tell they just put it together and it wasn't touched by a microwave or heat lamp. it's been a long time since we ate at mcdonalds. but it's good to experience McD's every once in a while to confirm your memory of how bad it still is. first, the lady at the counter did not smile once. did not share any pleasantries. then the meal...my grilled chicken was dry. i know there's really nothing they can do to make it better, so it is what it is. and it sucked. the whatever kinda sauce that was on it almost seemed like it was an accident, there was so little of it. hubby's quarter pounder with cheese was a quarter pounder with cheese. dry, dry, dry. cheese was't even melted. it looked gross. the soda fountain was your typical soda fountain and it was clean and filled with ice and soda, that was the only really good part of the meal. then i opted for a hot fudge sundae with peanuts. the hot fudge was a sparse - seemed like the unsmiling woman at the counter paid for the fudge out of her own pocket - there was so little. and she took so long to get peanuts from the back, she may have gone across the street to Fred's to get them. by the time she got back to me at the counter, my ice cream was half-melted. read more

The sausage egg McMuffin was cold and the bread chewy/stale. Yuck. The hash brown was cold and undercooked. It was oil and soggy. The coffee was burnt and the orange juice was literally warm. The people who worked there didn't seem to care much. They said to pull up to the first window to pay and then I sat there for a while. There was no one behind me or in front of me so they weren't busy. I also made eye contact through the window with someone and they kept a talking to their coworker. I assumed that I misunderstood and had to o to the second window. So I pulled up and the lady asked me if I already paid. I told her no because no one was there at the other window. So, I pulled up to this McDonalds in my 1999 Toyota Tacoma. I got out of the truck, the smell of burgers in the air, my hair flapped in the wind as I shut my door. I walked to the door, I wanted those chicken nuggs inside me so badly. I opened the door in anticipation of the nuggs. I walked to the counter I looked at the employee with a stern intent to order some chicken nuggs. I placed my order, I wait for my food, and I received my food. As I put those chicken nuggs in my mouth all my pain melted away, I felt like Guy Fiery took me to flavor town. I finished all 20 nuggs with assorted sauces and my large fry and Dr. Pepper. I Began my drive back to my humble abode, I new the risks involved, I could already feel my stomach starting to rumble. I just pulled into my driveway as excrement began to exit my bottom. It was too late, it was all too late, I couldn't make it to my bathroom. I crawled up into a ball on the floor and cried, my stomach began to cramp taking revenge on me for what I had done to it. My husband went through the drive thru as that's all that's open now for construction. He gave them $20.30 for a $10.27 order & recieved the wrong change. They argued with him when he told them they made a mistake, refused to give him the proper change, his sandwiches or his $20 back, and told him to leave! I called them later that day, they told me they had $7 and change in the safe for him. What happened to courtesy & the customer is always right? read more
