Well here we go.....things wrong with this McDonald's. The food was overall pretty good but the service and employees were HORRIBLE! We had ordered at the kiosk (which we never seen before so it was new to us) and we sat down and waited for our food. Once the food came out, the order was wrong! I walked in just now ordered two sausage burritos. Waited and watched my sausage burritos given to someone else that ordered after me. After waiting more they gave another pair of burritos away to someone else and smirked while they did it. I work about a 5 min drive from this location and come here every so often on my lunch break and order the same thing. I'd say one out of every three times they mess up my order and it's just extremely frustrating because I have a thirty minute break and they recently made the burger I order a "made fresh" item, so my usual wait time is about 5 min regardless, so therefore if I had them remake it, I wouldn't even have time to eat the thing. Will still come here because of convenience but it would be made correctly more often. read more

If you order a vanilla milkshake be prepared to have a vanilla and chocolate swirl shake. I brought it to. their attention and all the manager said it was because of the dispenser. I proceeded by stating that if I had wanted a chocolate shake that I would have ordered one. She treated me like it was unreasonable to expect a vanilla shake. She agreed to redo the shake but refused to acknowledge that it was unacceptable to expect a customer to receive what they ordered. I also tried to make it a teachable moment and reminded her that people can have allergies to chocolate and strawberries . So McDonalds either post signs that the shakes are cross contaminated by other flavors or train the staff on how to serve a milkshake. read more

One important medical note that the McDonald's employees seem to blow off is when you tell them that you are lactose intolerant and cannot eat anything dairy. You then reinforce verbally that you do not want any cheese. To date, I have learned that before driving away, check you sandwich for cheese. Bad service. Worser (new word) management. 21 minutes waiting on my order (order #313) Breakfast combo #2 with a large drink. When I inquired about the the delay I was told waiting on hash browns. But order number 314 was called out 5 minutes previous containing 2 hash browns. Finally MY hash browns were ready. They were nice and hot however my sausage McMuffin was very cold. I would give zero stars if I could. Worst McDonald's ever! I ordered two cheeseburgers and two fries with two ice teas. Pretty simple! I was the only order showing on the order board. After 40 minutes waiting, I got a cold hamburger and under cooked fries. When I brought it back, I think they went into the garbage and took out an old burger and made our cheeseburgers. We couldn't eat them. There was no ice team! The manager was dirty and the drink area was dirty as well. People in the drive through would order and then be put in line to wait. Spent $38 on breakfast for employees. Asked for 1 bbq sauce and the rude little man in window said it will cost me .26cents. A $38 order and you can't throw in 1 bbq sauce. Worst Mc Donalds ever! I have been here multiple times and have never had hot fresh food. Today's 1/4 pounder was warm at best and the patty was dry and hard on the edges and way too many old smelly onions. My large fries were warm and limp. Epic fail on the food!!!! Yuk!!! The restrooms were clean today as was the interior of the restaurant, not usually the case here so props to the girl that was working her tail off on that. Customer service definately needs work. They really need to teach their cashiers how to make change. The girl was nice but gave me $.46 .... 4 dimes and 6 pennies. The registers tell you how much to give back but doesn't tell you how to make that amount. I saw her struggling to count, its really sad that she can't make change. It would also be nice if they asked you if you needed ketchup or salt or whatever before they handed you your food and walked away. Maybe a friendly smile or a quick hello too. Family wanted to go gamble at Chumash after walking around Solvang but my little cousin couldn't go inside so we decided to stop by McDonald's to kill some time. We stopped by to grab a bite to eat and because our order wasn't ready yet the cashier in the drive-thru told us to park in the number 2 spot. Shortly after somebody parked in the number 1 spot. When they came to give us the order, not only was it wrong, but also incomplete. Apparently they had given the order to the wrong vehicle. The driver of the car in front could be seen from the back window going through the entire order (along with other members of his family). He then walked over to us and wanted to trade bags. Because of Covid we told him we didn't feel comfortable and my husband went to talk to the manager. The manager of this location was rude and said that when we received our order the gentleman asked if it was correct, even though we had already told him no. She insisted that that's why he had asked us to make sure we had our correct order to avoid something like this, again not taking our word for it, and refused to replace our meal so we ended up getting our money back. I thought the entire purpose of parking in a specific spot was so that this wouldn't happen, after all it's only 2 numbers...but what do I know. As understanding as one can be during this pandemic, we also deserve better customer service. That's why we went to Carl's Jr. across the street afterwards. read more

This is by far the best customer service EVER given at fast food place!!! Our order was perfect and ready in less than 2 minutes. They made our coffee while we waited for the food and even offered to bring the coffee pot to our table for a refill. Thank you all!! read more

I wish there was a Mcdonald's here in town but the closest is Buellton and I have to say although I've eaten at several locations throughout Santa Barbara metro area the Buellton Mcdonald's closest to home has some amazingly friendly and courteous employees. My drive-thru order is consistently correct (mistakes are often made in my experience at other locations) and when I go inside to dine I often place a 'special' order that requires a bit more time. The on-duty staff always has me take a seat and brings my order to me when it's ready. Once when an employee was wiping tables near my seat they noticed my soft drink cup was almost empty -they offered and took my cup for a refill - with only a little ice as I'd asked - I was amazed that I'd get that kind of service at a Mcdonald's. I've been at regular dine-in restaurants and not received such attentive service from an actual waiter/ waitress. Kudos to Buellton Mickey D's. read more
