This review update is loooong overdue. They just recently expanded the drive thru and it's much more spacious and will easily accommodate those lunch rushes they get all the time!! I drove thru this past Saturday at about 10:30pm & lucky me, I was the only one in line! The order taker was patient with me, the young lady at the window was sweet and made friendly conversation and the manager at the pick up window was also kind when I asked for extra sauces. I ordered a few burgers, 6 nuggets, a drink and large fry. Everything was good, except the fries. I could tell they were old. If there's one thing fast food restaurants should change at their time marks it's the fries! Old McDonald's French fries are far from tasty. Just try your food before taking off and hopefully you have time to wait if necessary. read more

If I could less than one star I would. EVERYTIME I come to this location there is an issue. Either the service bad, or the food is bad, you're never gonna get both. I ordered an additional order of large French fries tonight (2 medium fries came with the meal deal I ordered). They gave me basically 2 small fries and 1 medium French fries (see picture). If you're going to patronize this restaurant, I'd suggest maybe the drive through only. Even that seems like a crap shoot given the reviews here. This location has made it abundantly clear they really don't want your business inside. How?...they've abandoned the front counter and hide in the back kitchen area, ignoring the customers inside. The attached pic epitomizes the view you'll see during most of your visit. They have nothing in the lobby anymore. Need napkins? Go to the counter & wait. Need ketchup? Go to the counter and wait. Need utensils? Go to the counter & wait. More often than not, you'll have to go to the side of the counter and yell back at a group of them chit chatting away in order to get help. How hard is it to put everything on a double QP with cheese? Seriously. I tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt after my last visit, but it's clear y'all are just lazy or don't know what you're doing. You even have photos on your menu, and I'm sure instructions on how to build each burger. I know how to build your burgers, and I've never even worked there. When me and my daughter came in no one was in the front. Some other customers were waiting so I did mine and my daughters order in the kios almost all the tables were dirty actually had to have the guy in the front to have a table cleaned off and they aren't even busy inside this location only a couple of other customers. There is food all over the floor. When the food was ready the lady didn't even bother to call out the number just set it on the counter and left. I walked up because I knew it was our order. I had ordered no salt on my fries and they put salt on my fries and I talked to one of the managers and he said he could see salt on them. It took over 4 minutes and my fries weren't still ready I was told 2 more minutes. There were a guy on drive through was polite. This location didn't feel to welcoming other than a couple of employees. But what's worse is that there are plenty of tables that were dirty and still are even though they are super slow and the food on the floor being chicken nuggets and fries. I will not come to this location again. I went to use the bathroom and you have toilet paper all the floor. Before I could use the bathroom the lady manager looked at me 3 times before even asking me if I needed something. read more

Stay away from this McDonalds! A few months ago after a extremely busy schedule at work, me and my coworker stopped by this McDonalds for a quick bite. I don't remember what he bought but I got myself a chicken sandwich and fries meal. After I ate everything a few hrs later the worse was to come. I came down with food poisoning and was sick with fever, diarrhea, cold chills & migraine. I was not able to eat almost anything the entire 3 days. I had only water and pedialytes. Even tho the service was good I rate this establishment at 0 stars and if you plan to eat here i'ld think twice. Anyway McDonald's food is not of good quality and very bad for your health. This location has been here in old town Elk Grove for decades. I think it may even have been the first fast food spot here, but don't quote me on that!
