Unfortunately I work graveyard on Ventura so there's not many options out here at that time but they need to speed up the service. UGH! I walk in, laptop computer in my arms (like you'd hold a child - damn thing was totally visible) and say to the person taking my order, "What can I eat so I don't get food all over my computer while I use the Internet and eat at the same time?" and laugh and smile. She gives no indication of having heard a word and just asks me what I want. (Wow! So friendly! Way to make your customers feel welcome! You'd think I had woken her up at home in the middle of the night, the reception she gave me!) I ordered Chicken McNuggets, small fries, and a small drink. What do I get? Chicken McNuggets, large fries, and a large drink. Whatever, right? I just pay for it and go on to the table, figuring my dogs will get the leftover fries when I get home, and I now have a snazzy plastic bucket to use to wash the car with once I finish drinking my Diet Dr. Pepper. I sit down, set up my laptop, sign onto the network saying yes I agree to the terms, blah blah, and it tells me I am now connected. I start munching away on the terrible food and look at my computer screen. Nothing! I am NOT connected! Grrr! So I ask an employee who is passing by if they are having trouble with their Internet tonight. Blank stare. What the hell!??? She says "No English" and walks on by. A few minutes go by and I realize that she has not even bothered to go get another employee who can answer my question. So I GET UP and go find another employee and I ask her if the Internet is down. No idea. She has NO idea. So I have to then ASK HER to go find someone who DOES KNOW if the Internet is working or not. She purses her lips and walks off. I go back to my table and continue eating. Over the next ten minutes or so, no one appears at my table to answer me. I have to go back to the blessed counter to ask if anyone knows anything about the Internet situation. The company has been called and hopefully it will be up soon, I am told. WHAT THE HELL!? First of all, if you see your customer is carrying a laptop, and the Internet is down, SAY SOMETHING. Second of all, if that customer TELLS YOU that they are there to use the Internet, SAY SOMETHING. Wait, wait, if you know the Internet is down, you should TELL ALL THE EMPLOYEES that fact so that they can inform customers who are carrying their laptops and make comments about using the Internet while they eat dinner. Second of all, hire people who speak the language spoken in this country! Thirdly, if you hire someone who doesn't speak the language of this country, instruct those people to go find another employee if they are approached by an English-speaking customer with a question!!! Fourthly, if you have a customer get up from their dinner to ask a question at the counter, and you don't know the answer, then march your ass over there to give the answer when you DO get the answer. Fifthly, how is it possible that you can charge $7 and change for 10 dried out McNuggets, a few ounces of overly-salted potato, and a bucket of Diet Dr. Pepper??? You know, I'd write to this company and complain but based on the way I was treated there, I doubt I'd get any satisfactory response or rectification anyway. My rating? "Meh! This is one of the best McDonalds I've ever been to; which I know sounds funny. But, the seating is nicely designed, there are video games for the kids, and best of all, it's spotless. There's someone roving all the time, wiping down tables. It seems that every fast food/casual dining/cafe that I go to, the place is a sty. Dirty floors, crumbs everywhere. How many times do I have to ask, "Could somebody wipe down this table"? Not here. The food was fine, it's McDonalds, it's more or less the same everywhere. But, it's a nice place to sit and have lunch. And, they also have free wi-fi. The one weird thing, though, is that you have to walk across the drive-thru lane to get to the door. The worst service. Never get the order right in the drive through. I think when you say no cheese they put it on there to mess with you. Tonight 1/17/16 they gave us 2 quarter pounders with cheese we ordered them no cheese. We ordered 3 chocolate chip cookies they gave us 2 an order is 3. We go for convenience and they always do the same stuff. Then we call and they say come back and we will take care of it. We never do. This McDonald's was my boyhood McDonald's. I ate more McMuffins and Quarter Pounders here than any other McDonald's on Earth! This is where I used to get toys with my Happy Meal, where I first tried the Chicken McNuggets, the McRib, the Double Cheeseburger, the McDLT... and all the breakfast sandwiches. Even used to get my McDonaldland cookies here! It was always the "backwards" McDonald's or the "Polish" McDonalds because of the direction of the drive-through (which was added to the building sometime in the 1980s.) It was a cool trip back here after being gone for some years! They now have indoor bathrooms too (they used to be outside). Anyway... Glad it's still there!!! read more

They renovated this place and the design inside is comfortable. The chairs are more comfortable and the colors are better. Service is the usual you would get at any other McDonald's. They have free wi-fi connection if you need it. The drive-thru is faster than the other McDonald's I've been to. read more

Being that this is my neighborhood McD's, and there aren't any other fast food joints very close, it servers as my default location for some bad fast food when I'm getting home late. But really after tonight I think I might just take that extra 15 minute drive down to any other place, rather than spend another dime at this McDonald's. It might be the worst run McDonald's I've ever been to. Case in point, the last four times I've gone in for some ice cream the machine has been down half the time. The other two times I waited nearly ten minutes for something as simple as an ice cream cone. The priority is on the drive-thru, I get it. But to neglect customers who walk in the door is just wrong. The last two times the machine wasn't broken I bought a sundae and a cone, respectively. Each time I had to wait between 7 to 10 minutes to get my order. The machine is right behind you. I finally had to ask the guy who took my order for my cone. He said, "You still haven't gotten your cone?" and turned around, grabbed a cone, and within 20 seconds handed it to me. Why couldn't he do that before? Yes, he helped out two other customers after he took my order. But then after that he went and helped the employees manning the drive-thru window. What about my cone? I'm patient, so I decided not to say anything in hopes that my order would appear. Wrong move. That's why I had to wait nearly 10 minutes to get my ice cream cone. As far as the food... it's typical McDonald's stuff, of course. But on a side rant, if you will. The prices at McD's have been going up and up while the size of the portions have been going down. First time at this location. First of all they are not handicap friendly with the entrance of the place. Even if you are not handicap you have to be careful going to the entrance of the place because it is wrapped around with the drive thru it's crazy! I ordered my meal and the fries were blan and salt less and the floors were kind of dirty.. When it was down time no one came out to wipe tables or sweep. This McDonald's is a scam. I typically stop at this McDonald's located on Ventura Blvd. at Haskell in Encino a few times a week to purchase breakfast for my granddaughter. I recently download the McDonald's app to my smartphone. Today there was a "deal" where I could get a free hash brown with the purchase of a sandwich. I went through the drive thru and ordered an egg white delight, a hash brown, and a medium iced coffee. I was told the total was $7.23. When I arrived at the window and showed my smartphone app with the bar code for the free hash brown the cashier told me my new total was$7.43. I said there must be a mistake because it was $7.23 before I showed you the app for the free hash brown. The cashier insisted it was not mistake, and explained if I wanted the free hash brown I would have to purchase everything separately, and therefore it would cost more. So, if you want anything free from this McDonald's, be prepared to pay more. I believe this is false advertising and I felt scammed. read more

Ok, for a Mc Donald' s that's in a nice area, you would expect a clean place and better service. Not this one. We came in as a group of 10 and could not find a clean dining area. It seems like there's nobody cleaning. Then we waited for five minutes looking at the menu and nobody had greeted us nor ask us if we're ready to order. There are people at the counter but for some reason they're busy doing something. Nobody at the drive thru so what's the hold up. When we got our order, we got a spot at the kids area where the seats are small. As we got our orders not all of our orders were in our tray. When we got to the counter, the burger was just sitting there. Mind you that it wasn't busy. Then we found out that we were missing 3 more orders. We went back and talked to Christopher the manager. Instead of an apology, he just ignored our complaints like it didn't matter. I can see that his level of quality reflects him because he was not presentable. The franchise owner of this location is as greedy as they come. I learned today that 90% of McDonalds restaurants are franchises, the corporation gives suggested menu prices, but it is ultimately up to the franchisee to decide the price of all menu items. They can inflate as much as they want. This location inflates the prices so much, that McDonald's advertisements on the television never match prices here. I am astounded that the corporation allows this type of greed to occur, especially for what is considered the worst quality fast food on the market. I will not pay inflated prices for ground up grade D beef. Also, good luck getting any value menu item here. They don't even offer a $1 double cheeseburger or McDouble. Customer service is terrible. I witnessed poor display of professionalism by the staff at McDonalds this morning on KTLA Channel 5. The reporter was there reporting on the breakfast all day promotion. She had several items on a meal tray so it was apparent she was there at least 10 minutes or longer inside the location. In the middle of a live shot, a short and rude female employee reaches up and grabs the lens on the camera and tries to turn it away from the customer and reporter. She continued to place her hand over the lens. She failed to inform anyone from the crew they could not be inside and also failed to let her know she could not film the customers. TERRIBLE MCDONALDS.
