SCAM ALART!!!!! I wouldn't believe it if I didn't call this location myself and verify. After meeting up with some coworkers for breakfast at this McDonald's I walked back to my car to find what looked like a parking violation envelope (See Photos). In confusion, I looked for the city citation slip on the window but it was not there..? Still confused at what happened I decided to call the number on the envelope. It was a basic voicemail asking me to leave my name, phone number, and someone will get back to me. I immediately new this was a Scam. I contact the McDonalds location to notify them that someone is scamming there guests. To my surprise, they where aware of the parking collection notices on there guest cars. Confused once more, I asked them was this parking notice issued by the city? They said yes! And told me I have to pay it because there are signs inside the McDonalds. I can't believe the McDonalds Brand/Corporation condones a franchise to exploit McDonalds brands guests. This is unbelievable an unexplainable. I was so disappointed in the service. I ordered takeout, and when I got my food delivered, items were missing. It's literally not hard to pack food items; how do you miss items in the order? Okay, I fell for the advertisement that a NEW McDonald's was here and that it is only one of 18 in the world to provide a "Create Your Taste" experience. The only difference is that customers have pagers to let them know their meal is ready and a server brings it to them; there is something Pavlovian about this. One of the positive things is that it provides jobs for a lot of the young people in the area and that I liked. It put a smile on my face to see all new employees learning a system of food delivery different from the old model. Admittedly, there were bugs to work out and it took longer to get the food out than normal, but I don't think they had a soft opening. it was a sink or swim experience. I stopped at this McDonald's for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Pulled into the drive through and ordered the 2 chicken biscuits for $3 and a large coffee. The coffee was more than the sandwiches ($3.26). The girl asked me how many cream and sugars do I want in my coffee. I told her "none", then I said "I don't use cream or sugar - just plain coffee". I get to the window and they tried to give me 2chicken McGriddle sandwiches - the correction was made immediately because she said what was in the bag but when I got to work and took a sip of the coffee that was sweet like they put a pound of sweetener in it it missed up my whole day as I knew it was going to be busy and I wasn't able to go downstairs to Starbucks. This is why I hate McDonald's and haven't been to one this year until yesterday morning (yes I'm still thinking about how they ruined a good cup of coffee). I shouldn't have compromised. I substituted my sausage for Canadian Bacon watched my food sit there and then they call me to the counter after five min and tell me they made it wrong and had to charge me extra. I tried to give this place another chance and came in today 10/10/19 for a sausage muffin and substitute the sausage for Canadian bacon and they tell me instead of charging me for the muffin and a surcharge for the bacon I have to pay for an egg McMuffin. The location is rated at 2 stars but honestly....there's not much you can do to mess up McDonald's food. The taste of a regular McDonald's hamburger takes me right back to childhood. The fries are standalone. Mickey D's is the pinnacle of American, chain franchise fast food. The drive-thru line seemed a little long at first but it wasn't bad enough to keep me away from that familiar taste that I've known my whole life and was craving. My wife and I pulled up to the menu/speaker & placed our order. The employee taking the order was polite, attentive, took our entire order correctly the first time & read it back to us. We paid at the first window... Scooted up to the second window & got our food about 2-3 minutes after that. Everything we had ordered was accounted for. We asked for a few condiments before we pulled away which they gladly provided. Then my Wife took a sip of what was supposed to be sweet tea. To her surprise, it tasted like ice water with a splash of sweet tea. lol!! We quickly pulled into a parking space & ran in to exchange the drink. (The sweet tea in the dispenser was wack that day.) So, we grabbed a Hi-C orange drink and were on our way. The food was great. I ordered a #1. The Big Mac and fries (which Wifey shared w/me) were hot and fresh. No complaints on the food at all. The McDonalds app opens fine and I connected an account to use for a deal, but not only did the deal pop up without working for the time (the terms mentioned no specific times), it also auto-ran the voucher for one deal per 60 minutes and timed out the coupon. Cashier at West Washington location in LA does not care if you get food at a fair price, they don't wear gloves, and they will not help with deciphering the broken app. I should have recognized from the 1st moment that McD's wants to scam and price gouge by taking screenshots, but I'll probably just never come back nor use the app until desperation strikes again. Terrible app, experience, and location altogether. Gave no extra ice, and only gave one grape jelly for a giant biscuit with no sauce offerings/alternatives.
