The restaurant was remolded and now does not take counter orders, I was told i could use my phone or the kiosk . Items have been eliminated from the menu and you can not use cash. When I asked if I could order at the counter the man told me not that he would be yelled at by his boss. It looks like they want to go out of business in Los Gatos. So far it is working. Usually this is a good restaurant but yesterday when ordering the manager, a young Hispanic man, greeted me with a "Yeah. What!" I then saw him say it to another customer. There was no, "How can I help you," or " What would you like today." No, it was a "Yeah. What!" I saw another customer visibly upset about the way he talked to. The service is usually prompt. The career staff recognize me & ask how I'm doing. It's always clean and the bathrooms are always well stocked. The playground was great when my daughter was young. Can't really comment on the food, obviously, since it's McD's. read more

My kids love going here! We'll order from the App and they bring it right out. They recently remodeled it too. Wish they had a drive thru that's why only gave it four stars. If they ever get a drive thru, five stars for sure! I will say the food is hotter then other McDonald's and they are very quick. I am a gluten for punishment. I like Big Macs but am reluctant to be a regular and here is one reason l may never return. Paid cash so had to go to register to deal with unenthusiastic staffer. Ordered Big Mac meal. It came quickly. The fries were cold and stale (2:45PM). The sandwich was barely warm and the cheese slice was rigid and cold. Disgusting. I was trying to use a coupon for BOGO breakfast sandwich. The coupon clearly says 'any breakfast sandwich' but the manager on duty insisted i could only order from the 2 kinds shown in the picture. I later took the receipt survey and complained about it. Lo and behold, someone from this store called and left me a message a few days later. I did not return the message, then that person called again. This time i called back and was pleasantly surprised by the sincerity the store manager showed. Weird policies regarding drink cups, napkins and even ketchup I love it when they tell me their policy is not to give out drink cups until the order is ready and I have to tell them that since I've already paid for it I would like my cups now....... The food is just as I remember it 40 years ago. This McDonalds is very noisy. With the ordering process it is necessary to have people yelling out numbers constantly. The (well-exposed) cooking machinery adds a mind-stabbing array of high pitched alarms, always two and often three at once. I think the alarms should be removed given that nobody responds to them. It occurs to me they might be there to scare away customers. The place is loud and chaotic. McDonalds might be better off as before just waiting for food in line. Surely an industrial Engineer could sort this out. read more

Stopped in after the remodel to order breakfast. The inside is nice, like any other remodeled McDonald's. Still no drive-thru. The cashier was finishing a transaction when I walked up. She looked me straight in the eye, and then went to the kitchen to work on some orders. I noticed the new automated kiosk, but assumed she would come back. After waiting several minutes, the manager came out from the back and guided the two people in line *behind me* to the kiosks to put in their order. Having now realized the cashier was never coming back, I now had to wait in line at the kiosk. After helping the other customer, the manager turned back and saw me standing in line. Again, looked me straight in the eye and then walked away without saying a word - no acknowledgement or apology for making me stand in line twice. It's fine if you have a kiosk and don't want human cashiers anymore, but please use your words - that's just basic human decency. It's McDonald's, so my expectations are pretty low, but this is just poor human behavior. read more

This is the worst McDonald's I've ever experienced. Ever since new owners took over the service has been going down hill. All the employee's that knew what they we're doing have been replaced with one's that know nothing. I do not pretend not to love Mickey Ds, but I do not ever eat the food...and I am a vegetarian. The $1 coffee however, is a three times a week thing! I have been a loyal caffeine customer for about ten years, even though the $1 coffee has not been around that long. Shout out to the iced coffees. This review is not about the food but about the staff. This is "my McDonalds". The employees are the best, bar none. I have been in the hospitality industry for a bizzillion years and therefore I think I am somewhat of an expert! They are the nicest, honest, hard working team I've ever seen. Desperate for a morning coffee and quick bite on the fly, I popped McD into my GPS and it lead me here. No drive-thru? Damn. Well, I was already there so I parked, went in, ordered. What a cluster. People all standing around, can't tell who has ordered, who was waiting for an order. Grabbed my "latte" while waiting for my food, eventually found the coffee fixins around the corner next to the soda fountain. It had a wide variety of ... nothing. Sugar or Splenda packets, and some wooden stirrers. Went back to pick up my to-go order, and the fact that I hadn't been there waiting for it seriously confused the employees, who in turn confused other customers by asking everyone if it was their order. Like I said, what a cluster. The latte was good enough (thus 2 stars), and if you need me to tell you what McD food tastes like, well, I'm surprised you've heard of Yelp. read more

As I wrote in another McD review, I like McDs with playlands. This one has a nice clean playland BUT if you're looking for a drive thru, you are going to be sad! You have to park and get out of your car. The service isn't too bad here and they at least have places to get napkins for yourself, not beg at the counter for a couple more. Went into McDonalds at 10:10pm. They close at 10:30. I ordered a apple pie and was told it would take 15 minutes to cook. Somehow I don't believe it takes 15 minutes to make a small apple pie. To me I think the guy just didn't want to cook. Wanted just to go home. Not a big deal for him just to throw down a couple of apple pies. I just think its a bad employee. read more

Most everything is pretty good, no complaints. But every time I order coffee here, I ask for no cream. I pop open the lid and theres cream in my coffee. Since I don't visit here all the time, I don't remember to check and I don't find out about the cream until I'm on the road. I've pretty much had to throw away a number of coffee orders from this place. Check your coffee order before you leave. read more

We have had lunch at this McDonald's a couple times in the last month, the BigMac looked just like the adds, never saw that before. I ordered the fries well done and to my surprise perfect, that was a first. Well woke up early and saw my favorite mc ds just calling my name so I stopped in and the nice guy at the counter who knows my order by heart placed my order but I always order the muffins well done which means the cook has to toast them twice and if they are burnt Iam ok with that, so I watch her as she goes in the bin of muffins and pulls out 3 muffins and drives the bus over my back.....I pay for what I want and she somehow was too busy to give me what I want so your now 1 star yelped....take pride in your work...give the customer what they want. read more
