I never rate Macdonalds a high rating. From the start the young man on the speaker at the drive-thru had over the top service in his voice. We only ordered snack items. Small fries and three fried apple pies. We were excited that they had the fried pies and not the baked ones. It was like the past when the pies were yummy!! Even my fried were hot, fresh, perfectly seasoned. Wow! I never get fries like that anymore. But this place was rocking it. Even the gal who handed us our snacks was super friendly. It's never consistent when I come here. I ordered a medium fry, buffalo ranch back wrap and medium fries. The pictures speak for themselves. The fries weren't even filled halfway, the double cheeseburger I am absolutely certain they did as a "joke" because they just put two pieces of cheese on a single patty. Like what?? Extremely disappointed, you pay a higher price for fast food. Now you expect the food to be presented to you the way it supposed to. We went through the Drive app and ordered the new hot barbecue bacon crispy sandwich and a four piece crispy strips. The strips were lovely. The sandwich was a huge disappointment. Whoever was preparing, the sandwich, slathered it in the barbecue sauce, and I do mean it was slathered in it, that it was actually a puddle of it in the bottom of the container. There was no bacon whatsoever the lettuce that was on the sandwich look like it been sitting out for several hours it was wilted. Some of it was slimy. Only fast food restaurant in town and they take advantage of it by not being fully staffed. Used drive through for breakfast, cars in drive through and pulled up behind a car who was waiting to place order. It used to be good. I've lived in Ocean Shores 15 years and most recently 6 months to a year I guess - this McDonalds turned into complete disaster. Orders are wrong - don't try the curbside - you'll bee there all day and your food will be cold. I've been skipped on receiving my receipt- which is proof of time and day if you choose to do the survey on your shoddy meal. I see different faces all the time. Some are trying to get it done but there is obviously some problem in the team chain because the same things keep happening- or not happening. The latest this morning - I ordered on the app. Medium coffee - 4 creams. Easy huh.... Nope - black coffee - have a nice day. Now the strawberry and chocolate shakes are looking mostly vanilla. I even had a " boss" poke her head out the window to gas light me into thinking that's just the way they look. Wow. Not my first time at McDonald's lady - but nice try. And polite and courteous doesn't cut it when you're being handed cold fries and weak drinks.... Consistently. Do better Ocean Shores McDonald's.... Being one of two nationwide chains of anything in this tiny town, and a lot of places closing at the late hour of 8 pm (cough), I have been here many times. Every time, the employees are friendly and polite. They are organized and may ask people to go into a parking spot to wait for food to not hold up the whole line behind them. Food has always been made fresh, orders haven't been screwed up, and I don't have to ask for a receipt, napkins or straws. The inside is closed so to go only or you may eat outside. read more

Because this is one of the only franchises in this small ocean side town, it tends to be busy. Lucky for us we came late morning right before 11. The service was fast, kind and accurate. I have visited this McDonald's once before, 2 years prior and it was also good service. Ocean Shores disclosure: Hours on FB, Yelp do not reflect the correct hours. The local businesses here closed during some weekdays as well as shorter hours in the summer. Some businesses are strictly seasonal! When you do business in Ocean Shores or plan on visiting restaurants, please keep in mind that the majority of the population of Ocean Shores residents are over 70 years old.(75% over 70, 20% between 40-60 years old and 10% people under 18) How does this affect you? Slower service Not enough workers at restaurants You should set the following expectations: 30 minutes translates to 45 minutes to an hour when placing food orders. I have seen my 20-minute order take 1.5 hours (not at this restaurant but others in town) You will see impatient and angry tourists who are hungry. Bring snacks and plan your visit ahead of time. Call the restaurant to make sure they are open and check on wait times. This is the ONLY 24/7, open all year restaurant in town!! With that said, they are also the most reliable. The lines are typically wrapped around the building. Again, see my disclosure above. I love how they take their time to ensure the food is done according to your customizations. Due to the lack of food options at Ocean Shores, you find yourself stopping by McDs for a quick bite. We tried both a breakfast & a lunch on different occasions during our visit. First to note- the lobby is still closed here. You only have curbside and drive thru. For breakfast, the eggs were brown & runny. For lunch, my order was wrong, and the fries were overcooked / underfilled. Because of the closed lobby, your choice to get correct food is to wait another 20mins in their drive thru again to try to correct your order (non-feasible). read more

We tried eating here three different times during a weeklong stay (Aug 17-21, 2022) at Ocean Shores and the door was locked every time. One day there was a sign that the dining room was only open 10am to 3pm and we arrived just after 3, so went the next day at 1pm, only to find the door locked and no signs. The drive thru was open, but I'm disabled (hearing) and can't use a drive thru. I tried calling the order in for curbside pickup and no answer, so I guess if a person has a disability and wants to eat at McDonald's, it sucks to be you. I can't imagine that, if it's a shortage of personnel, that they're able to follow food safety protocols. read more
