Okay so I wanted to leave a bad review because for the past week I came around 10 pm and the some workers didn't look professional or they had a bit of an attitude. But I came in tonight April 1st at 9 pm. The gentleman that took my order looked very professional and he was very kind and attentive. Everyone else in the back also was dressed professionally. The other times that I came I had to ask for my fries to be remade because they weren't fresh, and I asked for salt because they didn't have salt on them, the chicken nuggets were also not that crispy. But tonight when I came my fries were fresh and had salt, the chicken nuggets were crispy ! And the coffee is strong so that lets me know they used a good amount to make. I used to work for McDonald's and these small details I know about since I've been in the kitchen before. My visit tonight went great. read more

As I was waiting patiently in my vehicle for my single Ice Coffee, I observed many more customers receiving full order that numbered several bags. Very unsatisfied with service at this location. McDonald's on this side of town is consistently disappointing. Drive-thru took 20 minutes for a simple order, fries were cold and limp, and the burger looked like it lost a fight. Lobby tables were sticky and no one was cleaning. I get its fast food, but the basics shouldn't be this bad. Not worth the $ anymore when In-N-Out is 5 minutes away. 1/25/24 - I can't recall the last time I gave a place just 1 star. I ordered 2 McChickens for $3.99 without any sauce. And used the app for 10 McNuggets for $1. Line was long, service wasn't good on the ordering system. I advised it was my first time ordering the McNuggets and I was Told to take the BBQ. I go through the drive thru and received my order. No BBQ sauce at all and no napkins. One sandwich didn't look worthy to eat, there was sauce in it and the other sandwich the lettuce was soggy with sauce. I asked for no sauce on the sandwiches. I threw away the entire meal away and I was out about $6. I wouldn't go to this McDonald's at all. I went around lunch time. read more

Always the longest wait in the drive thru... Went yesterday. The girl who took the order didn't even know. What was on the menu. And what wasn't on the menu? It took her 10 minutes to even take my order. Then, when I got to the window, she had it wrong, corrected it with that guy got to the second window. It was still wrong and then when I got home. What a shock order was still wrong. They gave me the wrong food, which actually wound up getting me extremely sick. It was not cooked properly. The staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. Horribly disorganized. Did curb side. Pulled up. Reported in with the app. Nothing. Went in. Spoke with the loan cashier handling uber orders, walk ins and bums begging for Pepsi's. Had no idea how to help and kept getting ignored by his manager. After 10 mins of this nonsense I went through the drive through (exactly what I was trying to avoid). And again: Chaos.. Couldn't find my order. The they said there was no order. Showed my digital receipt. Then finally STARTED my order and tried to have me pull aside. Refused. McDonald's in downtown San Diego is the only location that is located downtown, serving breakfast until 10 am and lunch throughout the day. This location has 2 drive-thru lines ending at 1 window where you can pay and then pick up your food. I decided to drive thru right before 9 am for a quick breakfast, and the line went fairly fast! I really like how they built 2 lines for the restaurant to provide fast service to the patrons. I went ahead and got the special for 2 mcgriddles for 3.99, and it was satisfying and fulfilling. I had no idea they had a chicken mcgriddle, so I just had to order it! The mcgriddle was wrapped perfectly and was freshly prepared by the workers. I asked for ketchup and was given 4 packs, which was enough for 2 breakfast sandwiches. In the bag, I was given ample amounts of napkins as well. The food tasted A OK, and I was a happy customer after coming through for a quick breakfast that didn't break the bank. This locations drive-thru service is great, and they provide fast, quick service for a McDonald's franchise. They also take Google Pay as well where you can provide your phone and pay with it as well. read more

This has got to be by far the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The staff here are very rude, especially the manager. I stopped by this location because my father who eats there quite often, was there, and went to say "Hi". My father told me it was ok to bring my ebike inside, because he had personally seen people bring in their bikes, and never once has the manager said anything to anyone. He also said he's witnessed homeless people bring their dogs in the restaurant and they be laying on the tables! Gross! This restaurant allows homeless people to bathe and hang out all day. Anyway, the manager approached me, telling me to take my bike from in front of the door, which i did, since it was in the doorway. I moved to where it was not interfering with anyone, and she still had a problem. Now several customers are saying she NEVER said that to anyone. By now my order was being prepared. I told her I'm waiting on my order, and she tells her staff to never take my order again. She claimed it was a store rule. So why did they take my order in the first place? After she said that, I took out my phone and began recording. Two customers entered with bikes. A homeless lady with a stroller full of stuff parked it in the same doorway my bike was at, and no one said a word. Both customers that brought in bikes were not harassed either. Then another homeless guy entered with a dirty dog, I watched employees walk past and not say a word! Even though there is a sign saying pets not allowed. Some overweight chick with a double chin and blue eyes needs to learn manners. Waiting 15 minutes for a large frappe which is whatever used to it at busy fast food places at this point, that's not the problem. SO CLEAN! The food is the same everywhere. Always good! Come on, it's McDonald's you know you love something here. However when I needed a restroom, this McDonald's saved me. The whole restaurant was super clean, the staff super friendly and the bathroom pristine. They lock it and buzz you in from the front. This morning before 6am I stopped with my family for some breakfast and Leo that took my order over drive through was rude and rushing me without allow me to even place an order for myself. One I got to the first window he kept giving me handle signals to move forward and since I did not he knocked the window and asked me to move, how can I move if a car was front me. I ain't go lie. After reading the most recent 'roach' review, I didn't know what to expect. I ordered a filet-o-fish and double-checked my sandwich to make sure there was nothing there that does not belong. And who orders McDonald's for delivery? Ewwww. Moving on, if I had seen a roach I don't know if I would vomit because of the roach or because of the tequila . But either way my sandwich was good and absorbed the poisons. And I enjoyed it. I asked for no cheese so my filet-o-fish was hot. And the sandwiches are smaller than I remember. But McDee's is trash so who knows when the sandwich size changed. But it was open and I was hungry. And this McDee's is 24 hours. And we all know that there are only three choices after 1:00 a.m. if you need to feel the belly: pizza slices, McDonald's or Jack in the box because it's too damn cold to wait for Denny's. And there are houselesness individuals at this drive thru even at 1:00 a.m. Drive thru was fast. Order was accurate. And it's McDonald's, so how high can my expectations really be? Fries for the hangover win! While this might be my closest location it is not my very favorite one. I used to rate them one star in my mind but my past visit was actually uneventful so it got bumped up. The thing here is that as you cue in line for the drive thru you will be asked for money by someone coming up to your car. You are a sitting duck and it will happen as certainly as the sun will rise tomorrow. As certain as getting sick or having a health problem will tell you who actually cares about you. It's just a crappy reality of life. It happens to everyone at some point. I wouldn't give anyone money here. For starters they are likely on drugs. I haven't seen anyone here begging who didn't look like they were on something that moment. You can offer to buy them a sandwich but they just want your money. Some Canadians in front of us gave folding money to one of the beggars... Anyways, I always use the mobile ordering app because of the great coupon deals and ease of use. Yesterday I was hung to the over after a pretty long Friday night and had to get right for a trip to the zoo. I am doing keto and I knew I could not survive the hot zoo trip without fries. Fries are my go to comfort food. One large fry for $1 (coupon!) and a $1 Diet Coke (plus my bbq sauce and sweet and sour sauce) and it was on! Even though I felt bad about cheating on keto, it was nice to not back out of my little zoo trip! This time they actually got my order right. I had had times where they forget to put in the sauces and once they even forgot my sandwich. But I am prepared to forgive them for that because this last time I needed it to be right and it was. The fries at this location also don't taste as good as the fries at other locations. I am afraid to even guess why that might be. Maybe I like dirty oil fries and I don't even know it... maybe guilt of not helping beggars out makes my tastebuds all dull. The fries here just taste flatter than elsewhere, can't put my finger in it. My Diet Coke was good, but it tasted like they had poured it before I ordered it. It was very busy so maybe it was the heat and having to sit there a bit. Fun fact? My twin sister is a total epic crazy lady about diet fountain drinks from McDonald's. She can tell you the best place to get a Diet Coke. I can't tell any of that ... but my twin will take the time to call me if she gets an especially good Diet Coke. I pretend to care and I cheer for her. I am sure she pretends to care about a lot of weird stuff I call her about so... all's fair. Oh! Because of the one way streets it can be annoying to get to where you need to go. Just accept your going to have to make some turns. I really don't care to leave reviews to fast food spots very often but because I'm annoyed, I'm inclined to do so. We placed our order with the woman standing outside the drive-thru, very normal, no big deal. She didn't smile at us at all, or show any signs of "welcome", but she was outside on the heat so I get it. One of the things I ordered was chocolate chip cookies, and I asked for it to be made fresh, she told me to tell the person at the window. Why do I want them fresh? Because freshly made cookies taste the best, and I don't want stale cookies. At the window I told the person that I wanted my cookies made fresh. The guy told me it would take 15minutes. First, I order fresh cookies all the time and it only ever take 2minutes, and second... I worked at McDonald's previously. I know you take it out of the freezer, put them on a tray, and pop them in the oven, pressing the "COOKIES" button, and it's a countdown of 2min. I told him that that's not true and it should only take 2min, and he just kept saying "it takes 15 minutes". Not true. At the third person we spoke with, he was a manager, and when we arrived at the window he handed us the bag and said "Here." And when we took the bag he turned away. I get the woman out front... it's hot af outside. But you're inside. Where there's AC. And you're visibly showing everyone you obviously don't care to be where you're working. As we drove away, we saw that we had no napkins and no sauce for our nuggets, which we requested when we made our order. The fries were fresh, the burgers were fresh. The nuggets tasted like the kitchen was using old oil. The cookies were stale, as I knew they would be. And for those reading, don't say "It's McDonald's what do you expect?"
