I had a friend recommend this place and now I recommend everyone to go to this place when they plan on purchasing/leasing a BMW. I also HIGHLY recommend only going to "Memo" Guillermo. He is the most patient, knowledgable, genuine person to be purchasing a BMW from. He does not give that salesperson pitch. He doesn't make you feel like you have to buy a car that day or rush you in to buying anything. He doesn't even have to name drop or show off that he sold 7 BMW's in a day, unlike his other colleague of who shall not be named. Another recommendation, go to Liz (one of the Genius) for all your electric BMW questions. She is thorough and so patient. If you want to learn, she is the one. I had my first experience today with McKenna BMW service and I'll just say it was bad. I had hoped after 3yrs with an Audi and dealing with McKenna Audi, maybe their BMW dealership had their act together; note to self that apparently they have the same bad level of service and level of internal accountability. I'm having BMS warnings and figured I'd have it checked before I road trip. I make an appointment on 1/26 for 2/18 when loaners are showing available. I arrive slightly before my 9:50am appointment and then meet Daniel. Seems pleasant enough, then tells me there's no loaners and they're first come first served. I answer yes, that's why I reserved a while ago and the loaner option was showing on your webpage. Nope - it's first come first served PER DAY. So you're telling me that unless I book the first appointment of the day, regardless of how early I booked my appointment with a loaner showing as an option on your webpage, I likely won't get one? Deadpan response - yes. I explain that I booked a certain level of service and would like nothing more or nothing less - blank stares and platitudes. Then he offers me something called VIP towing - ok, please explain. He tells me they come to your house and drop a loaner and tow your vehicle. OK Dan - it would seem the requirement for that would be a...wait for it...AVAILABLE LOANER. oh yes, that won't be today, that will be in a few weeks. SMH. Let me get this straight - I'm here now so rather than just running me a loaner when one is available, I have to go back home, and wait for an appointment in a few weeks where you'll send staff to run me both a flatbed and a loaner?! Somewhere in there, I ask to speak with someone who can help. He says he's a mgr. what? But says I'll call Mark. Mark who is not available and there's no ETA (I've seen this trick before). Forget it... I said this was why I stopped going to your Audi service and going to Long Beach. He asks why - what did they do better? My answer: they provide what they promise - I reserve a loaner I have a loaner, I reserve an uber ride, I get that. It's really a pretty easy formula. I give up and cancel. I should have kept it knowing how customer service scores impact them, but oh well. My piece of advice - if you really need a loaner book first appointment of the day, otherwise you'll get an unexpected level of service. Or offered an uber ride - but be warned it better be within 10mi (that was the caveat I was also told). And I've seen some of the canned responses from mgmt on Yelp - I'm not interested. read more

Brought my car in for its first oil change and was told I had a nail in a tire. I asked whether it could be patched and was told no because it's a run flat. Found the same tire for cheaper somewhere else and told BMW I would be picking up my car. They came back with a different price but said they were gonna confirm compatibility and parts contact would call back, never did. I called them, they gave me the run around and said they'd call me back. Didn't and I called again. Service rep Manny H. was very unresponsive, so hard to get through to him via phone and took hours to respond to texts. It took several days to change a tire because it was impossible to get in contact or get any real assistance. 0 stars for that interaction. However, this last week I brought my car in due to a sunroof issue. I was helped by Eli who got my car in, got me in a loaner, and out the door. He kept me up to date with my vehicle until it was ready. The fix took longer than I would have liked, but service was 100x better! Thank you, Eli! read more

We were driving on vacation from San Diego. Our car alarm came on while driving and wouldn't turn off. We called McKenna and they said if we detoured off to them a service advisor would pop out, take a look and tell us if it would be a quick or long fix. We were overjoyed at their offer which is the great service that we are used to in our home dealership in San Diego. Unfortunately when we actually got to McKenna, their tone changed. Dennis didn't want to help us.After 40 minutes of waiting with our dog in the car, no service person ever came out to us. Pro tip: Go to a different bmw dealer for service. They baited and switched me the BMW store on my trade in one manager saw the car put in the system gave me a number was low ball then other manager saw it he said I wanna to withdraw that offer and offer me less even when both managers saw the car, they guys are incompetent, they wasted my time they said we dont want your car super rude, then went over to Audi tried to see the A8 sales guy lazy didn't wanna pull it out for a test drive ridiculous plus inventory was short, really wanted to cross shop the X5m and Porsche cayanne GTS decided to try Porsche keep in mind the Audi, BMW and Porsche store owned same group, the Porsche store walked in sales guy sitting at his table playing his phone literally standing 10 mins looking around I looked he saw me and did absolutely nothing then I asked sales person he got up try to show me cayanne gts and macan he told me no test drive for anyone under 25 which is a dumb policy anyways im 25 and up I began asking questions about Porsche finance like interest rate, etc he said gotta run credit well okay run credit, yeah I got good score so I get unnecessary inquiry on my profile then test drive it dont like it then what dispute the inquiry anyways, these stores are a waste of time.
