Beef Pho for lunch today with my partner. Broth was flavorful but meat was a bit tough. Lime and soy beans were nice on the side and the noodles were well cooked too (they got super stuck together in a block at the bottom of the bowl and had to be taken apart first). Service was very nice and the seating was clean and tidy. Pricing was decent for what we got ($15/bowl) - may come again for Pho in the future.

I always enjoy eating here! Their food is delicious and fresh and the taste of the food is always consistent! I had their spring rolls this time and it was pretty good! They added grilled pork or chicken (I forgot) with a fried roll and everything went so well together! Highly recommend!! The service was good. Had take-out and dine-in experiences during my Seattle trip. Would definitely come again! Bun Bo Hue: 9.5/10 super good. Noodles and meat selection were amazing. I'm very picky with my meat and i enjoyed all of it. Broth is good but spicy! My spice tolerance is high but I definitely needed a beverage to chase down the spice. Thai Iced Tea: 10/10 very good no complaints Pork Bao: 9.5/10 this was also very good. my little brother didn't like the apple slice but I thought it gave a good balance :) Chicken Pho (kid's meal): 7/10 broth had too much onion and chicken wasn't fresh. Overall okay pho but nothing special Beef Pho: 8/10 broth was better than the chicken pho. i enjoyed the thịt tái/rare beef over the cooked beef because it was more tender, the cooked beef was kind of dry. Very good curry! Tasted authentic. Asian fusion cuisine along the Mekong covering Thailand and Vietnam. My husband and I had the Coconut Yellow Curry and the Coconut Red Curry. It's generous with vegetables and chicken pieces. We both enjoyed its spice we always crave for. Service was a bit busy but they tried their best to accommodate the customers eating in and those who ordered online. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is simple and made it look and feel it's in Southeast Asia.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We would come back.

I got beef pho here takeout via Doordash and the food came out pretty quickly (less than 5 minutes). The order is well packaged with the raw beef and bean sprouts / lime / jalapeño packaged separately neatly. The noodles were cooked to a little under al dente to ensure the noodles do not get too soggy and soft after pouring the broth. The broth was still warm after 20 minutes. Food wise, the pho overall is okay. I didn't really like the broth of this one, but the ingredients were fresh. The portion size is on the smaller side. For the price, I guess it is okay for downtown but definitely on the higher side (accounting for regular menu pricing).

I'm never really disappointed when I eat here. I got the vermicelli bowl and it was delicious -- fresh, light, and aromatic. Service was just okay, probably because we were tucked away in the back, but it didn't take away from the overall experience.

Excellent Asian food at a really affordable price. We got a beef pho, satay chicken vermicelli bowl, shrimp spring rolls, pork belly bao and a thai tea and enjoyed all the dishes. Pork belly was flavorful and lovely inside the bao, spring rolls were solid - they also had several other protein options. The beef pho was excellent, with plenty of flavor in the broth and plenty of noodles to fill up on. The vermicelli bowl the largest of the entrees, but continued plenty of protein and veggies and overall was very refreshing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Interior was clean and modern, with plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Looks like they also had decent drinks for the evening, but we just stopped by for lunch. Staff was very quick to help us and food also came out very quickly. Would definitely recommend for a solid Asian meal in Belltown area. We were visitors but saw plenty of locals coming in for lunch or grabbing takeout.

Another great Belltown restaurant! My wife and I stopped by here for lunch and she ordered the Vietnamese yellow curry with chicken and lemongrass and jasmine rice and I ordered the red curry with bamboo and seasonal vegetables and jasmine rice. My wife had the spice level of 2 and I got the spice level of 5. Both curries were excellent and I loved the spice level of 5. It was hot but not burning hot. The amount of food served was alot and for the price, very good value. My wife and I were both very full after the meal. Our waitress was very friendly and given how crowded the restaurant was, very busy too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor of the restaurant/bar is very stylish with a curtain of silver colored beads separating the dining area from the bar area (where you can dine too).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]One quirky touch: there is a bowl of free condoms at the front of the restaurant (like the famous Cabbages and Condoms restaurant in Bangkok).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Meekong Bar really does great curries! It's my go to spot after work dinner. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. They always give me my extra limes. The soup is good. The chicken wings are average, they don't really have much flavor, but I love chicken wings so I keep ordering them. They also always have these melon candies, I look forward to them after my meal

Solid authentic dishes, taste homemade and not skimping out on the ingredients to really drive the flavorful taste home. Prices are reasonable and fair with the food portions. When you sit down, no menus will be handed to you but you can scan the QR code at your table to look over the menu. Service was efficient but could be more hospitable/warmer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Barely felt any AC inside and seems like outside was cooler. we almost left when we walked in because it was so hot for a hot summer day and inside almost felt like a sauna.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Other than that, Food is definitely solid and will return to possibly do to go order.

The satay pho was incredible. Haven't seen anything like it here. Sweet, sour, nutty, fishy- highly craveable.

I am not one to give reviews but take this as a warning. Myself along with 3 of my friends decided to eat here for dinner while visiting Seattle, we all got the beefy pho and a Thai tea. The food at the moment was great, flavorful broth, tender beef, and good amount of noodles. We finished eating and go home, only to be puking and releasing our bowels the whole night. Mind you we are visiting and had to be on a plane the next day to go back home. My friends and I could not go more than 15 minutes without needing to use the restroom, and it was worse while being on an airplane for the next 5 hours. We are unsure of what could have caused the food poisoning... maybe cross contamination, unrefrigerated meat or condiments, could be multiple factors. Anyways, all of us are currently still trying to recover and would like you folks to double check your food when eating here. read more

A bahn mi burger!! What a concept - I never would've thought of this type of fusion but unsurprisingly a bun shaped baguette holding a heaping serving of patty and some acidity to cut it = delicious. I actually got a taro patty for the "health" factor (there is no health factor, i'm totally kidding myself, I also ate the pile of fries it came with). The taro was a light flavor with a not entirely mushy texture (which is great given it's just taro) so i think it's a win in both taste and texture. We also go the spring rolls which was just classic yum. read more

I was excited for the bahn mi burgers, but the flavor was very mild. The pickled vegetables and sauces all left something to be desired and the fries and bread didn't seem to be fresh. All in all, the whole experience seemed to be more premade than I expected, but maybe that is a misperception. read more

TLDR: Meekong Bar is a solid restaurant with a pretty solid soup. While nothing really stood out as exceptional, everything was enjoyable and I would probably come back again! Walking in, the restaurant was almost completely empty around dinnertime. The server was really nice and reccomended the Hue style beef soup. In the end, I went with her reccomendation and also tried the fresh spring roll. The fresh sring roll came with a sweet, nutty sauce which was realllyyyy well made. Tasty overall, fresh and pretty nicely plated too. I really liked the crunchy roll inside Hue style beef soup was pretty spicy, instead of pho noodles had spaghetti shaped rice noodles, which I actually really loved. Had lots of substance. Meat pieces were like meatballs, and sliced meat was solid. I wish they included more variety of meat though, as they only had meatballs and sliced meat. Didn't provide housing sauce unfortunately but good! Very flavorful broth. Even though it was a pho broth somehow it felt thick due to the substance of the flavors. Overall, I would probably come back to try the other dishes here! read more

We go take out. The food was fresh and delish, everything you want when ordering Vietnamese food. We took a chance on ordering the cod vermicelli dish. The fish was fried very delicately and paired well with the noodles and salad. Yum! The spring rolls wrapped in rice paper were soft but full of fresh lettuce and paired with a sweet peanut sauce. The service was good as the order was well packaged and ready for pickup. I've only eaten Pho a couple of times, and I must say, I'm starting to become a huge fan. I walked in this place with maybe two other people dining in. A quiet Wednesday evening. They sat me down right away and was able to quickly place my order. I ordered their Beef Pho. They brought the Pho out all the way filled to the top with a very delicious tasting broth, noodles, and a lot of beef. The beef was very tender and there was no skimping in meat here. They also give you bottles of both sauces so you can add however much you want. I wouldn't hesitate returning here next time I visit Seattle. read more

Stopped here on the way to Climate Pledge and they're close enough to Seattle Center for anyone visiting. They served some very good vermicelli with either grilled chicken or a three-way of pork. The pork belly bao bun was good too. Also had the pad Thai and it was good. read more

Ordered vermicelli bowls with my friend, one with fish and one with chicken, both were delicious. Tasty sauces, good vegetables, well cooked vermicelli. Very refreshing. Not as many toppings or as cheap as some other places, but well done and not too strong on the fish flavor in the sauce. Will come again. read more

Came here on a Friday right as they opened and got the beef pho. I wasn't sure what to expect as their menu seems all over the place. In addition to pho they do burgers and Vietnamese fusion dishes. The decor is also slightly upscale and modern, which is different from the homey atmospheres of my usual go-to pho places. The pho ended up being satisfying albeit a little unremarkable. The beef was slightly over cooked and tough to chew, and the broth was lacking in flavour. I do appreciate how generous the portion was though in terms of both noodles and meat. Total came out to $16 after tax and tip, which was a little on the higher end but in-line with the atmosphere of the place. Considering their varied menu, I would recommend this spot for a group as there will certainly be something for everyone. read more

Just flew in from AZ for the Cardinals Seahawks game. It's cold (compared to AZ) and wanted some Pho before hitting the bars. I got the Mala Pho which has rare beef, brisket and broccoli in a chili oil broth. It was good. Could use more meat for the portion but it still filled me up. My wife and friend got the rare beef pho. They enjoyed it but had the same thought. It's nothing special. Still good though. Where they missed the mark was the service. While they were nice they forgot to bring out utensils and napkins. Had to ask twice for them. Not a huge issue. They were nice and that will go a long way. But they also forgot my wife's spring rolls and she had to ask for them while she was eating her pho. They never brought out my friends beer. That being said all of that forgetfulness they forgot to add my double bullit bourbon and my wife's Tito and club soda. Not a bad place but it's not great either. read more

First night in Seattle, and -- after a long bus ride with just a bagel and some chips to munch on -- this really hit the spot. I got the summer bowl, vermicelli in coconut curry sauce, and a lychee lemonade. The curry flavour was spot on! Combined with the dipping sauce that comes with the spring roll (or egg roll as I guess they're called in the U.S.), this bowl was full of umami. Spring/egg roll was crispy and packed with filling too. Also loved the fresh, pickled veg. My drink wasn't overly sweet either, which I was happy about. The lychee was a great contrast to the summer bowl. And all in all, pretty affordable. Thanks Meekong! read more

Vietnamese fusion restaurant in Belltown. Doing decent business for weekend lunch, but we didn't have to wait for a table. Not a big restaurant but has nice high ceilings. Small menu with Vietnamese fusion items. Was recommended to get the banh mi burger with fries for $16, and get the sriracha seasoning for 50 cents. The burger is pretty big has a nice juicy pork patty. The bun and veggies are like a banh mi, and there is also a nice sauce/aioli on the patty. Tasted pretty good. The fries are crinkle fries and they were crispy which is the way I like fries. The sriracha seasoning didn't taste like sriracha. It's more like a slightly spicy cheese and MSG powder. Didn't really make big difference on the taste of the fries. Overall, food was good. $16.50 for a burger is not cheap for most cities, but this is Seattle where restaurants are pricy more often than not. read more

I was excited to try this place up the street from our hotel. We needed soup, Asian comfort food and cocktails. Food was delicious! The Mala Pho is the best! I like my soup seasoned and spicy. In a city with endless pho options. I found my favorite spot for pho in belltown. The veggie mala pho is phenomenal. Spicy and flavorful and brimming to the top with fresh vegetables, noodles and tofu. The broth is to die for. Spicy from Szechuan peppercorns and all the flavors imparted in the cooking process. Trinh provides amazing service! She is always friendly and welcoming. Not to mention she knows my go to order. While sparse, the ambiance is simple and not overly busy. Overall, I've found Meekong bar to have my favorite pho in all of belltown possibly seattle. Pro tip: ask for the Chile oil which is soooo good. They also sell the Chile oil to go! read more

Wasn't intending to stop in here for lunch but my mom saw a bunch of people and thought it was more popular than our alternative option (and less oily), only when we walked in did she say, "oh I thought there were more people." But boy am I glad we stayed. We were seated in the bar area with the high top tables, the chairs are a little wobbly fyi but the table was big enough for a bowl of satay noodles and a hefty platter of fries and burger. The banh mi burger was incredible- super flavorful, reminiscent of banh mi but just different enough, not as crunchy as a baguette (my preference). They make the bread bun in house and it is a great vessel for the pickled veggies and Mekong patty (essentially just the sweet pork sausage in other Vietnamese dishes). They also have a monk patty that is made with taro, also house-made, I was tempted but our server said she preferred the Mekong patty. Burger is a little wet due to picked veggies but not overwhelmingly wet that results in soggy bun/fries. Fries were fine, just a standard fry but it had a good amount of soft and crisp. Only wish they had made a Vietnamese inspired dipping sauce instead of ketchup haha. Mom said her satay noodle was okay- just pho with satay sauce and some tomato slices. I don't think she was impressed. Service was great, ambiance was good- loud but you can see folks were eating every last bite, so that's reassuring. read more

I went there with my boyfriend's family, and I had a lovely experience. I got the grilled satay chicken bowl, and it came with fish sauce. Even though it says the chicken has chili in it, it was not spicy at all. Everything was super flavorful, and I liked how much veggies it had. The others got the mala pho, and everyone loved it. They are all from Szechuan, so if they like it it must be really good. I didn't try the chicken burger, but apparently it is also extremely good. Looking forward to coming back! read more

Love this place. The menu is simple but good! My best friend and I went on a extra rainy Seattle evening after moving back to Seattle from LA and I had none of my stuff- it was really close to my house, it warms you right up! Also, the people who work there could not be nicer!!! We had edamame, Pho (I got the spicy version and my friend got a mild version) JUST so delicious! We also ordered bao buns (yum buns!) They have a full bar, if you need a little adult bevvie- Everything came out warm and quickly! It has just the right amount of ambiance- bright and softly lit at the same time. I saw some girlfriends getting together, a lot of DD orders going out, some people on a date night and some people eating alone- everyone getting the same service and yummy food my friend and I received. Come by for a visit a support a small business- Your tummy will be happy you did- I'll be back for sure. read more

Im surprised it took me 2 years to find Meekong Bar which is just a 10min walk from my apartment. Got the meekong Burger and chicken satay vermicelli bowl to go. The Meekong burger is inspired by Banh Mi and was excellent - the beef Patty was very flavorful - they use an awesome house blend of spices and herbs while making it and it shines through in every bite. The vermicelli bowl was also good and the flavors reminded me of the bowls at Vinason Pho. Both dishes came with a refreshing Vietnamese salad on the side. The burger also came with fries. I was craving the meekong burger again within 4 days of my first visit so I will definitely be coming back here more often! read more

I was curious about the Bahn mi burgers so decided to try one along with the pho and thai tea. The burger was really good and a fun twist on traditional bahn mi. I feel like the true testament to great food is if you can take it out of the spot you got it from and it still be good . So that's what we did today . I got tofu spring rolls , shrimp spring rolls , and lychee lemonade . The beef brisket pho and crab wontons . The crab wontons were good 3/5 on those . The tofu and spring rolls are a 4/5 for me but they have pork in like a rolled up situation inside of it . It is easy to take out so for those who are pescatarian / vegetarian that's something to be aware of . The lychee lemonade is 5/5 forsure phenomenal . I really wanna try to mango one now . And the beef brisket was a 5:5 for me . So flavorful . I did get one packet of sriracha and hoisin sauce even though I should've asked for more but the jalapeños made up for the spice I was looking for . I also got cilantro bean sprouts and a lime . Cool little spot for Vietnamese in Belltown. So far, I've come twice and tried the garlic chicken wings, lemongrass chicken, and pho. Everything has been tasty, portions are good, and the have GF options. Prices are very reasonable for the food and area. With a casual, modern atmosphere and good service, it is good for dine-in or take out. Unfortunately they are still working on getting their liquor license (as of August '22) so there is no alcohol at this time. read more

I used to come to this place when it had a previous name over 20 years ago. This food is as good now, as it was then. I'm very happy to see some things in Belltown are still really good. My friends and I came here after we visited the Space Needle on New Years for dinner. There were a lot of people here and luckily, there was a table that just opened up and they were preparing it for us. The wait was only a minute or so and we were seated after that. The decor was okay and had dim lighting. The menu had a lot of variety but the one thing that caught my attention was the Banh Mi Burger. I ordered the Meekong Banh Mi Burger ($15) and the Granny's Pork Belly Bao ($8). I don't remember what my friends ordered since I'm writing up this review 3 months after I was there so just going off of pictures. The Granny's Pork Belly Bao was tasty and I would recommend that as an appetizer. The Meekong Banh Mi Burger was big but wasn't what I was expecting. The taste of it was just okay to me, but the fries were good. I would not recommend the Meekong Banh Mi Burger and probably best to order something else. Overall, Meekong Bar was not bad and might be worth checking out the restaurant. read more

Meekong Belltown FOOD: 1/5 Presentation of our dishes were sloppy and flavors were decent- not amazing. The Cajun Alaskan dish was well made with pineapple salsa but the scallops were incomplete. For the dinner scallops, we received a disproportionate seasonal vegetables side option: 7 micro button mushrooms and 6 chunks of zucchini piled on top of 3 small green beans. Funny to see how stingy the portion was in comparison to the amount of seafood, not even passable for a balanced meal. I shouldn't be able to count my vegetables. If you guys are going to have an issue with giving additional hoisin sauces for pick up orders then just charge for the extra sauces. I would rather pay for my extra sauces than deal with the way the staff acts when i ask for them. The veggie broth was really good this time but I don't even want to come here anymore based on my past experiences. Whats more annoying is that if i was dining in i would have access to as much sauce as i needed to adjust my pho to my liking and the staff would probably be more accommodating since tips are involved. We are the home of the banh mi burgers! We are sister stores of Mekong Village, offering the same classic recipes in new fusion dishes. Our Meekong Burger is our signature dish where we put together with our house made juicy beef patty together with a Bang Mi Bun, sriracha aioli, pickled vegetables, lettuce, tomatoes, creating this delicate yet soulfully satisfying burger! We are sister stores of Mekong Village which had opened in 2010. Di Chuc, the dessert chef of Mekong Village took a new twist and created Meekong Bar, offering great drinks to go with not only her amazing desserts but banh mi burgers! She took her mother's recipe to create this amazing Meekong beef patty and she created her own banh mi buns to go with it. Di's specialty is in baking but that doesn't stop her and her mother from creating unique dishes combining different cultures within one plate! Now under new ownership since December 2021.

I made a brunch reservation the night before and there were plenty of open time slots. It was a little busy but there were a couple of tables open. The service was very fast despite the holiday. We ordered the Lola breakfast and the eggs Benedict. The crispy potatoes that came with both meals were really good. The eggs were very fluffy and the sauce on the benedict was flavorful and lemony. I'd definitely come back here for brunch next time I'm in Seattle.

I would definitely suggest making a reservation ahead of time if you can! For the food, I really liked the hash brown/falafel hybrid--super unique and really delicious! Their beignets were also nice and fluffy and the toast was decent as well. However, I wasn't a big fan of their scrambled eggs. Overall it was a solid choice for brunch, I'd order something different for my main dish though!

Another superb experience at our favorite restaurant. We saw their lights twinkling Thursday while outside our apartment, only to learn they are open for takeout during the quarantine. I am SO happy! Today I added calamari. I love calamari but have a hard time finding one dining out that I actually enjoy. Yet again, Meekong Bar knocked it out of the park! The aioli it comes with I wanted to dip everything in. The texture, cut and breading of the calamari (takeout I remind you) had me truly believing it's quite possibly the best I can recall having. We moved to Seattle from San Diego at the holidays and this place, across the street luckily, was our very first stop for eating out. The summer bowl was quite possibly one of the best meals I've ever had in my life, including in the states and traveling abroad. Each time we visit we are not disappointed in trying something new. We have been worried about Meekong Bar since they quickly closed when corona virus started. How nice they put a sign in their window, not to share their misery but instead to tell us they had donated all extra food to those in need. People- PLEASE DO NOT TIP @ this restaurant. The owner is so awful. They will cheat( been cheated) most of the tips from customers for their employees. They will calculate their own ways to divide the tips. I used to work there. I'm making a report to a city now, and they are doing an investigation. I just want to make sure everyone deserves the rights to earn their own tips.Just remember, we are living in America. Cheating aare not allowed. You think you can do it forever? good luck. read more

I'm admit right now. However, the ex-boyfriend loved this place and offered this proof to how awesome it was: Sounds like the Vietnamese equivalent of taco truck. However, this is an upscale Vietnamese restaurant with your usual fusion-y decor (though they don't serve fusion). Food was good, though lunch for $13 or $14 was a bit high. The garlic chicken wings are amazing, definitely get those. The pho - specifically the broth - is probably the best I've ever had. read more

Love this place! I got the tofu bowl with coconut rice. The rice was very fresh and flavorful, tasty enough to eat on its own. The veggies were also delicious- I got two types of veggie slaw (one with a peanut sauce, the other more light and acidic) and the kale. The bowl was fresh and filling, and overall very good. Definitely would go again. They also offer a fried egg and avocado-unfortunately, they were out of eggs the day I went. read more

My go-to place for Asian fusion food, and I have been to this place multiple times and have tried different dishes. The ambiance is perfect for a date night. The food here is pretty expensive, but I don't think it's that good. Everything was good, but the sliders were over the top! They were so amazing! The waiter was friendly. Service, beyond awful. Forgotten everything, huge delays, excuses. Food, not much better. Chicken "burger," a few scraps of meat haphazardly thrown on a bun. Beef burger patty, bouncy like overcooked sausage. I give the latter credit for a nice lemongrass flavor, but clearly the cook knows nothing about how to make a proper burger. I highly recommend skipping this place. read more

Food isn't bad, not very authentic but the flavor is good as are the portions. Service is very friendly but a little slow. Drinks are pretty meh - lemonade is too sweet, beer is all Budweiser brands, liquor selection is bottom shelf. I'll come here for work lunches but not really impressed otherwise. read more

Changed management (or something along those lines. I used to have familiar waiters/servers, who knew where I wanted to sit and what we wanted to order. The cocktails aren't as good anymore, and the service more detached. Don't really like the changes I'm afraid. read more

Terrific service. Very delicious food. I had a lemongrass chicken bowl and my husband loved his curry bowl. The crab wantons were tasty as was the satay. Very nice place and not freaky expensive. Easy walk from the Space Needle. read more
