Delicious desserts! The one time I came was a while back, before COVID-19, but I enjoyed it none the less. I'm glad they have a menu where you can add your own toppings, which is really nice when you want a dessert that doesn't have what you want. This is a great space for gatherings since there are so many tables and an outdoor patio area. Meet Fresh is popular until closing time, and the staff here must be very busy. Some of the drinks/ desserts are too sweet depending on your taste. Although the passionfruit tea I got was 50% sugar, it still felt like 100% sugar. My friend got the black sugar milk tea, and it was also very sweet/ boba overcooked. One of my favorite places for dessert in Bellevue! I went here with my family members, and we were able to order quickly at the front register despite it being 8pm. The seating was quite open, and there were plenty of tables even with its busyness. Service was good, and workers were friendly. While we had hoped to order mango or strawberry milk shaved ice, we found out these two dishes were seasonal (June-Sept.). So, we ended up ordering a Taro Milk Shaved Ice ($10.50) to share between the four of us, and the portion was great. We definitely were pretty full after the meal, and we couldn't finish the last pieces of taro on the bowl. I definitely recommend this one. I had this before at the Meet Fresh Oakland location, and the consistency is definitely similar if not the same. Prices are similar at both locations and are very reasonable for the portion size. My family goes to the ones in SFO. And I was so looking forward to this places opening. Finally went to try it out yesterday and dessert I ordered was good. I had grass jelly, taro and sweet potato balls over shaved ice. I am planning on coming back to try more items. However, customer service part was not as desirable. That's why I didn't give it the 5 stars. I was the only one in line and questioned the cashier few questions about the desserts. It's a huge menu and it's real hard to decide because they all looked delicious. She sort of rolled her eyes and then turned around to talk to her coworkers. The whole places atmosphere was not warm. This is 2nd update I've been coming here since the first review. The waitstaff is much better with customer service. I like this place bc of the grass jelly. The first time I had this was actually in The Bay Area. Taste exactly the same which just means they are on par with all other franchises. The menu is pretty much different combinations of their main items. I got the Iced Grass Jelly with taro balls and taro paste. Been at this location few times, but every single order, their shaved ice desserts and drinks are tooo sweet. Even after requesting half sugar, it's still too sweet. It felt like they added once and forgot and double it up again. I couldn't even finish my drink and we took 2 bites of dessert and had to toss everything. At night and weekends, they are super busy so I would understand if orders gets messed up, which is why I waited till now to write this review, however, the last 2 times it was so slow on a weekday afternoon and there was no line. Can't say I was too impressed with this place. I was really excited to find out there's a Chinese dessert place in Bellevue. But I find the menu pretty pricey for the desserts they serve. Ordered their Signature Icy Glass Jelly and the Purple Rice soup w/ taro balls. For both dishes, it came out to almost $18. Yikes! I enjoyed the glass jelly dessert (served on a bed of shaved ice and topped with glass jelly and taro balls). The purple rice dessert (can be ordered hot or cold) was a bit watered down (that, or not exactly that exciting in flavor) topped with a couple of taro balls (tasted like it was rolled in pumpkin dough which was an interesting flavor). You add toppings such as (boba, jelly, mochi, sweet potato balls, and taro balls). My favorite topping is the sweet potato tarp ball, outside has a texture of mochi balls with the taste of sweet potato and inside has tarp fillings! It's sooo good! Look at my photo! If only Meet Fresh has more locations in the Seattle area...it's so much better than BlackBall!! For just a little bit more money, you get nearly double the size of what BlackBall serves for their traditional Taiwanese desserts. I also really appreciate that they use real bowls/spoons instead of disposable ones (adds to the homey feeling and also reduces excessive waste!). My go to has always been the Signature Icy Grass Jelly-- the Grass Jelly is so soft! Unlike many other places that would serve Grass Jelly with high gelatin content that makes it really firm. The softer jelly texture pairs well with the shaved ice that mixes with the creamer provided. We've noticed that while the dessert tastes great as served, it tastes significantly better with more creamer in it! (So maybe try and see if you can get two instead of one!) I can't wait for summer to come around so I have more motivation to try the other items on the menu! read more

Okay so I have to say they are my favorite shaved ice place hands down. I did my order to go so I was a tad nervous about my shaved ice melting but I have to say it didn't really melt like I was expecting it too so thats really good. Anyways I ordered their strawberry shaved ice , the amount that is served to you even to go is huge so it is most definitely worth the price. The portion size was great , they added fresh cut strawberries and I only say they're fresh because they really are. I of course again had this as a togo order so my order was packaged differently then when served , I got my bowl of shaved ice with fresh strawberries , I had another container that had condensed milk and the third item packaged was a homemade strawberry puree. Once I put it all together and took that bite , it hit me so good ! Honestly my favorite shaved iced , I will be going here more frequent specially during this hot summer season. Inside of the place was clean , it is a bit intense when going in only because it was extremely full even their chairs and tables were all completely taken and people go there in huge groups. I wish I had a picture of how it looks like when they put it together but again I had mines to go. I also tried their winter melon tea with mini taro ball. Both of them were perfect in sweetness and it wasn't over powerful with sweetness at all. The taro balls was really flavorless and it just tasted like a mochi ball. Lastly, if you don't see anything you like on the menu, you can create your own soup too and they show you the steps on their menu so it's straight forward and not confusing at all. Came here for a dessert during the afternoon, and it was one of the longest waits I have ever experienced. I have had a fair share of Meet Fresh desserts since it is a franchise - I usually order the classic dessert with taro and jelly topped with half and half. They only had one person working behind the counter! It is also self order via touch screen as well. Kids had just also been released from school, so it was a ton of orders at once overwhelming the staff behind the counter. :( The dessert itself was standard Meet Fresh - got a free bag of Taiwanese sausage in honor of the Moon Festival, which was neat. This place is popular! I came here as a big group (asian family gathering 15+ people) on a Sunday night around 9pm and there was a line. It wasn't SUPER long and it moves at a good pace so it gives you time to digest the menu and figure out what you want to get. When scanning the place, it can feel like there's no open seats but theres enough seats that people are leaving and arriving and it takes time to make your desserts so by the time you are done ordering and actually get your dessert, you'll have a table for sure. We ordered milk teas individually. I got the regular milk tea with boba with 50% sugar. They don't do 25% or 75% which i thought was weird and I was nervous because most places, even 25% could be a little too sweet for me. But their 50% sugar was surprisingly like a 15-25% sweetness for most places - it was perfect! Their boba is also VERY soft but a little smaller than the normal size...but a bigger than the mini boba size. We got the strawberry shaved ice to share. It feeds about 4 people. It looks intimidating but you remember it's ice so it's light! Strawberries didn't seem too fresh (like preserved ones...?) but despite that the flavor was good! What I seriously don't understand why this place only has 3.5 stars! WE LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! We always get the Mochi Milk Shaved Ice. We always say we're going to branch out but then we don't because this thing is just SOOoooo good that we literally want to eat it every. single. time. It's GIANT. Our family of four shares it and sometimes there's still a bit left over. So I feel like we're getting our money's worth. haha! We saw our number on the screen got skipped a few times, then eventually our order number disappeared. Very spacious space, great for hanging out with friends or catching up with homework/business assuming that there's wi-fi available. A lot of Asian dessert choices, I think it's Taiwanese style. A lot of boba, grass jelly, red bean, taro, and rice cake in the ingredients. On the bright side, it's less sweet than American dessert so that means it's slightly healthier right? I came here with a friend to explore. Not knowing what to expect, I asked the cashier for help with the menu. His explanation was detailed with recommendations for hot/cold items. Went with the jasmine milk tea, sesame/peanut mochi and the hot taro bowl. Dessert portions are 'YUGE'. A visual and sensory experience. Love this place! The milk tea is solid and the shaved ice portions are HUGE! However, I can't ethically give them a full five stars for a couple of reasons. First, they don't offer a non-dairy or alternative dairy milk tea, which really stops me from indulging in those offerings. Second, after having gone to Snowy Village and seeing how they do shaved ice, there's some room for improvement. Smaller crystals of ice and layering the toppings would be great! This way, there's enough toppings and syrup throughout the experience and the milk can penetrate into the ice better! read more

FINALLY! Meet Fresh has came to Washington. Located in a cute little plaza. Not too long ago this place was empty and had many "For Lease" signs urging businesses to come. Now it is packed with all types of stores and a library. Ground level parking may be difficult to find depending on the time and day of the week, but luckily they have a ton of parking underground. Just be careful not to park on the residential spots. The place is spacious with a decent amount of seating. Looking at the menu, I was shocked. 10 dollars for a personal shaved ice. I don't remember prices being this high at other locations. Perhaps its a Seattle/Bellevue thing. Regardless, it was completely worth it. Plenty of toppings on top, topped off with extra half and half (always get extra). The best part... the ice. Im not sure what they add in there, but its GOOD. Everything was perfect, especially since I came on sunny afternoon. Definitely will be coming here again when the weather starts turning up. Hopefully they will open more locations in the surrounding areas soon, because at the moment they are not too accessible. read more

Came here on a Saturday night (around 730p) and the parking lot in the stripmall plaza was PACKED (so be prepared to circle around a bit). We weren't sure if the underground parking garage was open, so we skipped it and thankfully found a space in front of the eyeglass shop nearby that was closed for the night. Got into Meet Fresh and crowded, but at least not also packed. So many options to choose from. My bro in-law tried to order on the app, but then gave up and ended up ordering at the front counter kiosk.There were 3 of us, so we all shared a hot soft tofu with peanuts and taro; original bubble waffle, and shaved ice with lots of variety of mochi--there wasn't one in particular that was a standout because all 3 were delish! I had heard about Meet Fresh for a while before finally getting the chance to come to the store. Unfortunately, we came 30 minutes before closing so I think we got the dregs of the day's offerings. We ordered the hot red bean soup with taro chunks and sesame balls and red bean. However what came out looked pretty unappetizing (as shown in the photo, this was before eating). This was nothing like the stock photo. In the age of insta, it was sad to see weirdly shaped lumps of taro floating in the bowl. The soup was lukewarm and sweeter than my preference and the red beans were practically disintegrating. The sesame and taro were fine, probably because they can handle being stewed for a while. All this didn't make a great impression on me but I'd like to give this place one more go (during the day) before making a final opinion. read more

It paired nicely with the milk and sugary shaved ice on the bottom. I love their the taro balls too. It added a fun chewy texture and made the dessert less dry. Definitely got a brain freeze afterward tho. Even though the portion was great, I still think it's a bit on the pricier end. $9 for a bowl of grass jelly seems a bit over priced for me. If you're a fan of all things with that chewy or "Q" texture then Meet Fresh hits the spot. The setup is pretty simple. You choose a combo with your favorite dessert base: crushed ice, grass jelly, tofu, or red bean soup. The difference being the type of included toppings like taro and sweet potato balls, tapioca, mochi, and more. I enjoy these kind of desserts and how they're not overwhelmingly sweet. Also all of the toppings have the correct bouncy, chewy texture. Nothing is underdone or mushy. Plus as a bonus they've got great milk teas. My only complaint is when they run out of certain toppings. They don't tell you until you go to pick up your dish at the count. While they try to make up for it by giving you additional toppings similar to what's missing, you don't get a say in it. Sometimes it's happened when I paid extra for things like sesame mochi. Which is annoying since it's extra and and I can't exactly go back and get a refund for it. read more
