We got the Chicken Tinga Nachos as an appetizer and it was a perfect amount for the 4 of us. I got a burger and it was pretty delish. One thing I will say is their sweet potato fries definitely do not taste fresh, I'd guess they are frozen/sysco but what else do ya expect nowadays? We got the s'mores pizookie for dessert and I really enjoyed it. It's baked to order so it takes a little bit but I thought it was worth it. And if that's not your thing, Menchies is right next door and always a treat. Tons of games and such and they even had trivia on the TV. Just a really great neighbourhood spot!

Everything seemed fresh and the presentation was on point as well. The service was good and for a large party, she was polite, friendly and mostly on top of things The bad- and I'm willing to take some of the responsibility on this one. We had a party and booked it for outside, as we were told they have misters and it's in the shade and very doable. Part of that was correct- their misters weren't working. There was no real attempt to move us inside, other than splitting up a birthday party across the restaurant. The main issue is that no one told us- I had to go inside and ask why they aren't on. Not a great look, but I'll be back to try them again.

I was proactive and made reservations from their website. It was same day so we got in for 1:30 PM which was great when you want a lazy morning. Upon arriving, the location is in a shopping plaza but nothing else appears to be open or even in business. There's plenty of free parking in the lot but we took a ride share. There's nearby retailers like Costco but in this complex it looked dead except for Sugar Jam. When you enter, people were waiting to be seated and you can hear the music from outside! This is a lively, DJ friendly atmosphere with lots of activity happening from the bar to the dining room. The hostess checked us in, we walked around and took pictures, admired all the beautiful people dining and it's an open kitchen where you see the orders coming up. Mom and I were seated maybe 10 minutes after our reservation time. We were greeted by Vante - such a nice young man who was patient and helped us decide on what to order. We settled on the margarita flight, the watermelon hibiscus whisky smash, wings & waffles and the French toast and chicken. I also got blessed with a shout out from the DJ and a free shot for my birthday! The food came out quickly (however not together), was plated nicely and the flavors were present. The brown sugar butter and warm syrup on my French toast was a hit. The only complaint I'd note is the heat inside the establishment. I left my fan and desperately needed it. They did eventually bring out some industrial fans to cool the dining area off. The a/c needs to crank harder with all the bodies plus open kitchen. Otherwise, a great spot to eat, sing along, vibe a little and enjoy great breakfast food.

Love the decor, the space, & the live DJ. We got sat in the back room, and the table we were at was extremely warm. We couldn't feel the AC (no ceiling vents in that back space) & the fan they had in the room wasn't reaching our table. Luckily, our server Vonte was helpful getting us moved to the table along the wall once the previous guests left so we could at least feel the fan. But this was really one of the only negatives of the experience (along with there only being 1 toilet for how many guests can be in the space). I was beyond excited to see vegan options on the menu!! I didn't check ahead of time because I always assume I will just have to get avocado toast or a salad when I go to brunch spots with friends. So when I saw there was a little corner with 2 items for us, I was thrilled. I got the sweet potato veggie hash bowl, and I'm excited to come back to try the pancakes next time. The bowl was the perfect portion and filling. The sweet potatoes were a little harder than I like, but they were still delicious and the whole dish was well seasoned. I ate every last bite it was so damn good. My friends ordered the Salmon Croquettes & grits meal and the flapjacks N' fried chicken tenders. They were both generous filling portions (so much so they both had to take food home), and they both enjoyed what they ordered. It's super far north for me, but it's totally worth the drive for the weekend brunch vibes. Can't wait to come back again!

If you're looking for perfectly fried comfort food, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I ordered the Chicken & Fried Shrimp Basket with the standard fries. I could have chosen coleslaw instead, and in hindsight I probably should have since I'm not much of a fry person. But the real star here is the fried food. Both the chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly--crispy, golden, and packed with crunch in every bite without being greasy. I'm also a huge sauce fan, so I had to sample a few. I tried the ranch, garlic Parmesan, and Nad's Sauce. The clear winner for me was the garlic Parmesan. It was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with both the chicken and the shrimp. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was incredibly friendly, took the time to walk us through the menu, and checked on us several times throughout our meal. Since you order at the counter and then find a seat, that extra attention really stood out and made us feel welcome. Great food, great service, and a place I'll definitely be coming back to!

The lady that helped me out let me know that since I was torn between the Swai and catfish I could do one of each. She was so helpful and sweet, loved her energy! Both of my fish were cooked perfectly and I like the nice crunch to them when I first bit in, both fish were extremely juicy. I do wish that she told me the catfish was going to have a stronger fish taste to it though , I guess they told my brother that when he came in last. I typically don't mind the fishier catfish taste, as I grew up eating catfish, but I will say theirs is a bit stronger than I typically like. Swai was bomb though. I do enjoy the fact that they season the fish after it being fried as well, I think that's a great touch. The shrimp that came with my combo was well battered and seasoned but I personally expected a larger size shrimp, and they were smaller. No worries though. Oh we also really enjoyed the shape of their fries that came with the lunch basket it was interesting. My spouse said he enjoyed the Wings which were pretty generous in size, but he wished he would have gotten them dried instead of wet. He thought the sauce was a bit much. Whatever that means lol All in all great fish and chips, killer music and nice atmosphere.

The ribs are absolutely to die for -- tender, flavorful, and definitely something I recommend trying. The sandwich portions are also worth mentioning. There was also a big soccer game that evening, so I think most people were out at watch parties. I ordered the Cardiff M. Co ahi tuna (salad), $30 and shoestring potatoes (fries), $9. The salad was wonderful, however, a big pricey. For $30, I would have liked more ahi tuna pieces. Mine only came with five small pieces. I love shoestring fries, and I really enjoyed theirs. They were nice and crispy. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout. The restaurant offers plenty of seating inside and out, and is great for groups.

The Nana's Soul plate used to come with more than two ribs, then it was reduced to two, and now it's down to just one unless you pay extra for another. The plate also used to include all three sides--mac and cheese, collard greens, and beans--along with cornbread. Now you're limited to choosing only two sides, and the cornbread is gone. It's disappointing to see how much the restaurant has declined since the beloved Nana passed away. I hate to say it, but I won't be returning.
