This is the place to be if you're looking for a great place to live with that you won't find anywhere else. The layout of the floor plans are unique and spacious with upgrades galore. Maintenance is great here. They respond right away and for an apartment this size they do a great job cleaning the common areas. The downside is that it is that the apartment faces a busy street so be prepared for cars coming down the street at 5 am every morning. The facilities are great with a full size gym and a very nice pool area. Gym staff is very friendly and remember residents by first name basis. read more

This has to be the WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER LIVED IN. I pay top dollar for one of their supposedly nicest and biggest unit yet I can hear the person upstairs when they flush the damn toilet. Constantly stomping the floors, and can even hear them when they play music. These apartments are built shitty! Don't be fooled by the amenities. Oh and don't be fooled by the dude whose a leasing agent who thinks that stomping the damn floors is normal apartment living sound. That's what he called it. I can't wait to be out of this crappy place! I've lived at cheaper apartments and didn't have this issue. I mean I can hear the damn neighbor closing the kitchen drawers. If I could give my final experience a lesser rating than a one star count on that! I'm moving soon and can't wait and if you get this apartment you will have a daily nightmare!! read more

I like most, are one of those picky people who needs to see every unit and every option for light exposure, noise, balcony size etc. She was super responsive and accommodating. This place has really gone downhill. We used to have great activities, wine sip and paints, Social events etc. But all that has changed, we had THE WORST CHRISTMAS PARTY WE HAVE EVER HAD! Party? What party. It was unhealthy crapes and an unfriendly man pouring wine. What happened to the DJ? What happened to the decor? And you all choose crepes all the time. Don't you think your residents paying 3 to 4K monthly to live here get tired of cheap crapes. What happened to the tacos and cheap pizza? Put the love back into your events like you used to. Just moved in. Everything is as spectacular as advertised! Huge apt that feels like a house. Floor to ceiling windows that are tinted with an abundance of natural light. Amenities are great. Vegas style pool. The gym is legit with all the machines and free weights you need. Apt management are super friendly and helpful. My man David from maintenance always is on time and takes care of things with a sense of urgency and professionalism and he's a cool dude too! read more

I live here almost 8 months now and here is my honest opinion about this apt complex. I'm on upper level facing the road, and it is pretty noisy if you open windows from trucks, bikes, construction cars of this apt and landing air planes etc.. All sorts of noise here, mostly all day long. There are several office buildings around and one of the office building facing us have landscapings every weekends and it happens around 7am. Construction workers for this apt comes in arpund 5:30-6:00am, some of them ride super noisy bikes/old cars, so it wakes us up everyday from the noise on the road. I wake up fairly early even in the weekends but if you want to sleep late, this apt units facing roads aren't the place for you. When we moved in, there were not so many lived here, so it was quiet some part of the day, but as the time goes by, many ppl have started to move in, some are college kids, and they got noisy drifter cars, bikes, etc.. JUST SO NOISY on the road even at 3am at times. People live here is more like childless, single or college kids sharing rooms, not a family type place. Management ppl are nice and friendly, but they seem not so good handling complaints/trouble shootings for some reason. We have lived in quiet and loud apt or house, but this is probably one of the loudest place to live in. We were told "No Dogs are allowed" at upper levels, only the first floor is dog friendly, but we have seen many dogs living all around the apt. Also they said it is the non smoking enviroment, but I see lots of ppl smoke cigarettes/marijuana inside the building even in the elevator..very stincky and disturbing. We are actually planning to move out of here soon. This place is just not for us! One of the maintainance guy who stopped by one day asked me to leave a good star review for this complex. I personally do not believe "full five star" places in general as well. Just fyi! read more

This is the first time in close to 20 years that my wife and I have lived in an apartment. We are so happy that we made Metropolis our home. We were living out of state and made a call into Metropolis and were lucky to have Regina answer the phone. She was extremely patient with us while we asked a ton of questions. Her professionalism is above par and Regina made the whole experience seamless and stress free. We have been moved in for almost two months and can honestly say the experience with Regina and Doug (property manager) has been fantastic. Now on to the property itself. The amenities are incredible ... pool, clubhouse, gym, tech room and on and on ... and there has been a recent addition of Nitro Cold Brew on tap!!!! If you are looking for a new place to call home, you have to do yourself a favor and take a look at Metropolis. read more

The team here (especially Jeremy!) is incredible, they blew my expectations of customer service away. While there are tons of new apartment complexes going up, I don't think I'll find the service I've received here, and that is what will make me renew my lease vs the new apartment openings. I'd like to know how they are able to hire and have the team push through such great service and treat it like it was their own home across the board! Examples below: -I was going through a terrible situation with my apartment and Jeremy from leasing called me first thing in the morning walked me through step by step of how they are going to resolved it and worked with me diligently for THREE MONTHS to get things handled. He set realistic timelines, made sure he had no delays, and helped calm me down when I thought I was stuck -The activities manager (Travis) is super chill and makes setting up bowling and other items very easy -Natalia from leasing is the go to for apartment tours and makes the leasing experience feel so stress free without hurrying you or making it feel like a sales pitch -Noticed gym didnt have any equipment for dips, 1 month later (without me saying anything) a dip bar is installed! These guys know whats up when it comes to the gym! -Team can act in a way they feel is right vs. having to just stand behind corporate policies that arn't applicable across all communities. -Training classes are welcoming and teacher is very good -Cleaning staff is amazing, they are going 24/7 keeping the place spotless and are very courteous I did not include amenities in this review as a lot of new builds are going up with the same, but I don't think they are going to be able to manage a building as well as this one. I am really impressed with Garden Communities. A couple cons / suggestions to throw out there: -Amenities close at 10, this is fine on weekdays but they should do 12 or at least 11PM on Fridays/Saturdays. Maybe shift the starting time to accommodate. -Parking lot setup is terrible, its accidents waiting to happen and very tedious to get up read more

I've searched long and hard over the past month at all the top resort style apartments and I finally made my decision based on one fact... Metropolis has it all. The amenities are superb, the grounds are clean, well designed and over all it's a peaceful atmosphere. It's like being on vacation in a 5 star resort. The office staff is great but I must give a shout out and 5 stars to a "Super Star" Natalia!!!! She really knows her stuff. She took the time to ask me all the right questions regarding my preferences in living, what I like and don't like, getting to know what type of person I am so that she could put me in the right apartment and in the right location. It was as if she read my mind and had known me for years because she did just that...placed me in the perfect apartment. Natalia's communication skills, friendliness, professionalism, caring approach and overall willingness to go the extra mile is really what sealed the deal for me. I knew I was in good hands with Natalia. The Metropolis office staff, maintenance crew, grounds keeping and housekeeping staff is precisely what you would hope for in where you choose to live. If you're looking for a 5 star resort style living in a clean, safe community and with a very supportive community team, then look no further... Metropolis is by far the best of the best! read more

The amenities here are great, and the staff here does a great job of maintaining them and keeping the common areas clean. I've found that anytime there is a problem, communicating directly with Natalia or anybody in the office takes care of that problem the first time. Our apartment was brand new, and construction is still ongoing which has pros and cons, but we knew that when we moved in. I have nothing but praise for the staff here and the work and care they put in to making this a great place to live. read more

Metropolis Apartments - Apartments Near Me - Irvine, California

Have been working with Natalia Walters back in October of 2018 and she showed me all model plans and showed me around. I selected an apartment on the 4th floor and was told the rent would be $2400 an put $250 dollars down to hold. Three days later I went back and wanted to see the same apartment on the 2nd floor and did a walk through again with her. She told me I would be paying $2200 for this apartment on the 2nd floor. Told her this is what I want. Never got the $250 dollars from the 4th floor apartment and had to put another $250 down for the apartment on the 2nd floor and agreed to $2200 with her. Called her later and told her I cant sign application because all my stuff are in boxes. She told me not to worry and I will be able to do this the day of my move. Can in she down loaded the application and went right to where I need to sign which happens to be on the 2nd page which doesn't show the rent amount you are agreeing to. She just told me to start signing here and she will print and get me a copy. Completed the application looked over it the next day after moved in and see that the application agreement is for $2500 a month Not the $2200 that was verbal and agreed upon!!!!!!! Came back down stair to the office that day and talk to Travis about this issue. He said yes every floor is $100 dollars more. This is correct. He went back to the Property Managers office and talk to them. Can back and just told me that I sign this application and that was it!!!!! I'm writing to letter everyone know about how this place runs there business and the BE AWARE OF HOW YOU WILL BE TREATED!!!!!!!! I had to pay $3600 more than I agreed to with NATALIA WALTERS!!!! Lease is coming up and there still paying dump about everything even with me showing them emails from me and Natalia show what she quoted me. CRAZY read more

Amad is super human, female Terry has an S on her chest, male Terry rescues endangered animals, and Max will soon win a Nobel Peace Prize. Natalia was especially helpful throughout the entire on boarding process which really made the transition quite easy. The community is normally very quiet and the amenities are amazing. How many places do you know that have a bowling alley and an arcade? The gym has all state of the art equipment and the staff here is always friendly. If you ever imagined living in a "luxury" apartment that is clearly false advertisement then look no further! If you are someone who works or goes to school and wishes to have a peaceful place to come home to then you ought to think twice before investing a year or more of your life living at Metropolis Irvine. We have lived here for 7 months, 5-6 of those months have been consumed with emailing management, calling garden communities, and meeting with management. Unfortunately we were mislead into thinking this would be a nice environment to spend our little off time. This several month issue remains unresolved and we are in the dark of how much longer we will have to put up the constant stress of dealing with it. Management will reply to this and say they have been diligently working on this matter but I can assure you that they do not care that we have been suffering for most of our stay here regardless of what they say. Simply put, actions speak louder than words. -Thinking of sleeping in at your new apartment or maybe having a quiet night at home? Good luck, not only is the sound transfer terrible but the fire alarm randomly goes off and just when you think it's over, cover your ears because it's not. -STOLEN PACKAGES. We have had 3 stolen packages and spoke with another tenant who has had stolen packages as well. There is a "parcel pending" room where there are lockers for your stuff, should the lockers be full they are placed on a shelving unit..although there is a camera in the room, the office tells you sorry and to call the sender if your package is stolen. -If you plan on always paying your rent on time, be aware that sometimes management "can not see that it's posted" and be ready to be accused of not paying. -Should you choose to live here be sure when going thru the checklist to notice and take photo of the poor paint jobs, marks on counters and flooring, scuffed appliances as well as bad installations of floor boards between each room. Also don't expect them to have any flooring cleaned before you move in. -One star because yelp does not let you give zero but since there is one star it is for their maintenance guy Noel. He is a hard worker and a delight to have in your home. Because of several bad air conditioning installations within our apartment he has worked in our home several times. Unfortunate construction but Metropolis Irvine is fortunate to have someone like him. read more

This review is long overdue. I've been living in Metropolis for 3 months now and it's by far the best apartment community that I've lived on. Metropolis offers a wide variety of free resident activities and luxury amenities that you won't find elsewhere. The apartments themselves are very spacious, modern and the blackout curtains are wonderful. It's a fairly young community so it's excellent for those looking to sway away from noisy and family oriented environments. Big shout out to the staff for their superb work. Especially Ahmad, he goes above and beyond in his line of work and his professionalism, work ethic and dedication truly standout. I couldn't praise him more! We moved in yesterday and so far everyone has been so responsive. Natalia was right on the small issues we had yesterday. I called maintenance dispatch this morning and they called right back. When moving in yesterday Edwin from maintenance introduced himself in hallway and let us know if we had any issues to let them know right away. This morning David was here right away to fix our SkyBell, a couple cosmetic issues and change our patio lock. When moving into a new building you expect to have some issues but it's how responsive the team is to correcting them. This maintenance team is spot on with their service. Lived there for a year and if I could give 0 stars I would. We have LOVED the staff everywhere we lived until here. 1. If there is ANY chance you may have to move, dont move here. There is no break lease fee (they told us 2 months rent and we would be out if my husband got a job offer we were hoping for and when it happened they laughed and said they made a mistake and that wasn't the rules and that we signed the lease so verbal means nothing..) We kept signed edocs giving them a move out date and they didnt rent our place out or even try for that matter, haha! We had friends go and pretend to look for a place and gave them our apartments EXACT info and they told them about every other apartment EXCEPT ours. They even told the office they had 6 weeks from our move out date and were flexible. When they asked if they had any on the second floor, the office told them no. THEN, we called the office the next day and they said "of course we told them about your unit" and our friends had them write down EVERY apartment they had available, and ours was not listed. We know it takes 2 weeks to clean after move out, so we gave them the date for 3 weeks from our move out date.. they just didn't tell them because they'd rather get vacant apartments rented out first before an apartment with someone liable to pay until the end of their lease. 2. WE SIGNED DOCUMENTS 3 TIMES TO MOVE OUT. I was pregnant and had my baby May 17th after a super rough pregnancy where I was hospitalized quite a bit. Well they have a rule where you have to sign move out docs 30 days before you plan to leave or they charge you rent. Well, both my dad and husband signed the documents but I forgot about them. (Had my son from c-section and have a 15 month old at home) well now they are charging us 1400 worth of rent because I didnt sign them in time even though EVERYONE else did and even though I just had major surgery a brand new newborn and a 15 month old I was taking care of. They are saying tough sh** and they don't care. 3. They also try to make your move out fee a tiny less than 1 months rent. They get you with $99 security deposit, but guess what, you still have a bill at the end now. When we got our final bill, they charged us 2945. Our rent is 2965.00 That's not just a coincidence based on what I've heard from past tenants. They charged us to completely replace carpet even though they just needed to replace a tiny spot in front of the bedroom door and a good wash would have been perfect (their own people even told us that before we left.. 1 day before to be exact.) 4. They dont take care of the property or their residents. I was 6 months pregnant and walked into their elevator and slipped on dog piss and fell. I was bleeding and almost lost my baby. I reported it to the office in the form of 3 emails, 2 phone calls and walked in 1 time. I have all of the hospital documents that show I suffered from a bad concussion from hitting my head, lots of blood loss, and problems with the baby. Still have migraines and my back and knee are still in bad shape. Both of my brothers are lawyers, as is my grandpa, aunt and uncle and everyone told me to get a lawyer but at the time I chose not to because I didnt want more stress. Well baby is here after no fetal movement and an emergency c-section and after seeing how they treated us when we finally moved out, I think I changed my mind on how to handle everything. Oh and again, NOT 1 APOLOGY from them when I fell on their property or a call asking how I was. 5. If you get locked out, it will take hours to get you back in and if it happens more than 1 time, you'll have to pay $50 for them to let you in after sitting their for 3 hours. This happened with our newborn and 15 month old and we were stuck in the hall with no food or drinks for them for 3 hours. WORST COMPANY and I will continue posting reviews. read more
