Two stars I am being generous, credit to the waitress and the tortilla chips. Went for Saturday brunch, only few ppl where there. The hostess was not very welcoming. But our waitress was sweet and helpful. The menu is vegetarian friendly, like any other Mexican place. They just take off the meat and replace it with beans and rice. Lol The complimentary chips and salsa were ok. We ordered vegetable fajita, the worst fajita I ever had. Veggies tasted really old and they were chopped horribly. Huge pieces. No spices, they were just half cooked. Served with rice and beans, also came with corn or flour tortillas. Rice and beans enchiladas, way to much cheese. Literally smothered. Cheese inside cheese outside. Kids cheese quesadilla- obviously goovy cheese. Even my cheese loving son said too much cheese. Lol The place is not well kept. Went out to dinner w/my girl last night she wanted Mexican so we went to Mexican Fiesta in Canton we had probably the best Fajitas ever we got the Fajitas Trio. This dish was absolutely delicious you get surf and turf along w/amazing beans, fresh guacamole and instead of getting rice they brought us coleslaw which again a fantastic dish. Additionally the service was outstanding. The ambiance was great I would add some Mexican or Spanish music; I would just like to say thank you for a wonderful meal and service. read more

So disappointed! The food (Enchiladas w/beans & rice and Queso cheese bowl) was seriously lacking flavor. The Queso tasted like a melted block of YELLOW Velveeta Cheese... I love authentic Mexican Queso but they totally missed the mark on this. The Chicken Enchiladas was made with chuck dark meat instead of shredded WHITE Chicken and the same occurred with the Chimichangas. The rice & beans were bland at best. Oh, and if you want the traditional melted cheese on top, you'll be charged extra for that too (without telling you first). Our server was rushed and never checked back on us (no refills on beverages offered). BEWARE, this place will CHARGE YOU a fee for using a credit card too!! I have NEVER been charged a credit card fee at a RESTAURANT. This is an owner who is more concerned about squeezing customers for $$$ than providing quality food & service. Yesterday my partner and I ate at Mexican Fiesta and the food was really delicious! We got the flaming cheese to start but just to warn you - it does not come to the table flaming. It was still extremely flavorful though, we loved it. Our server was nice and friendly, not overly so or too much, which I actually enjoy. She did just the right amount for me! I got the chicken flautas and the fried flour shells had a great flavor. My partner ordered the beef enchiladas and they disappeared from her plate, lol! I will say though, that we asked for hot sauce and were just given more hot salsa, because I guess that's all they had. I really wanted some really hot sauce in a bottle that most Mexican restaurants have, but maybe that's my fault for not specifying. Everything was really good though. read more

We wanted to stop in and grab a drink and order take out. We did not have a lot of time and tried to be quick. It took a long time for the waitress to get our orders and bring chips. One basket of chips for four people, if you want more you have to pay! We tried to order of the lunch menu and were told we couldn't because we wanted it to go so they were going to charge us more. Good, traditional Mexican food. Right off the bat, I'll say that I was disappointed not to have the option of a salsa verde chicken enchilada, my go-to dish to test any Mexican restaurant waters, but the complimentary chips and salsas hit the table almost as soon as we did and the rice and refried beans, other Mexican standards, were all perfect. The bean and cheese tostadas came with plenty of fresh lettuce topping. We also ordered a beef burrito which was portion-generous and very tasty. As an appetizer we ordered quacamole, which we thought needed a little salt, but hey...what's the salt on the table for if not to add flavor to please your taste buds! Our server was awesome and a tableside visit with the manager proved this restaurant and the founding family take satisfying their customers very seriously. And we were! Let's start right here Mexican Fiesta is THE BEST Mexican restaurant in these parts. Mexican Fiesta is CLEAN, unlike some of these authentic Tijuana Grocery store/restaurants popping up around town. GROSS! The hard shell tacos are the right ones, deep fried, deliciousness. The cheese is awesome and plentiful. For $13.50 you get 2 tacos, an enchilada, a tamale, a tostada, rice, and beans. Have ordered from here multiple times with no issues. However I placed an order tonight for 2 enchilada meals for carryout. I've had pleasant experiences each time for years, never had a complaint until today. My grandmother and I frequented this restaurant this weekend in which my grandmother experienced food poisoning, but our issue is related to how the situation was handled. We proceeded to call the restaurant about her poisoning where we were met with a rude and condescending "manager" who dismissed our claims as well as letting us know he'll let the owners know of the issue but they're probably be too busy or care to respond back to you? Truly piss poor customer service, my grandmother did pay to be poisoned and this situation as yet to be rectified, I truly to do not recommend visiting this place unless you would like to end up in a hospital. read more

Over the past 20 years, the proliferation of Mexican restaurants in the Suburban Detroit area has been staggering. While to some this might sound like a bad thing, I find that it's actually brought a strong sense of competition to the local market. When I was a child, you had to travel to Mexican Town in Detroit, for some halfway decent South of the Border cuisine. Thankfully, Mexican Fiesta arrived on the scene to make my taste buds very happy. I can remember when Mexican Fiesta used to be a steakhouse located on Ford Road in Canton. They used to serve all sorts of fine steaks, but sadly went out of business during the economic downtown that paralyzed the local economy several years ago. Thankfully, the place was turned into a good restaurant to enjoy dinner with family and friends in a Mexican style atmosphere. When going to the Mexican Fiesta, I strongly recommend making reservations in advance. My friend and I went there last night, and we had to wait 35 minutes to be seated. This is the price you pay when going to a restaurant on the fly to do dinner at the last minute. Finally, we were seated and treated to some complementary corn chips with salsa. The server offered us mild, and hot sauces. There was no place in the middle with these sauces. The mild tasted like watered down ketchup, while the hot variety way too hot, and set my mouth on fire. Thankfully, I had plenty of lemonade to wash it down with, to help cool down my taste buds from this intense inferno. We both ordered a Wet Burrito, and mine came with chicken. This part was fantastic, and one the best burritos I've had in a while. However, our waitress was way too busy, and could have been more attentive than she was. She was gone most of the meal, and I had to catch her passing by with another order just to obtain a refill on my drink. Worse yet, she had the table across from us cleaned off, but there was a lot of litter under the table. When the hostess came with new patrons to sit at the table 15 minutes later, they refused to sit there as it looked very messy, and I can honestly say that I couldn't blame them at all. If the service from the wait staff would have been better, I would have given this review another star, as the food was fantastic. I do plan on going back in the future, and maybe I will change my overall rating of this restaurant. read more

Meetup I've been here a few times to meet up with a group of friends and family. The staff has been super accommodating for our needs. Food here is pretty standard Mexican fare like tacos and burritos. I chuckle at the cole slaw on the menu - it's plain creamy slaw, nothing Mexican about it. The dishwasher I think his name was hunter was smoking weed out back behind the building while touching himself to beat it by mr Jackson himself at first we thought he was on the spectrum but he seems to just have problems out right the minute he caught us looking at him he took no time and started chasing us pants down thru the parking lot screaming "muerte a la colina blanca billy" whatever that means but other than that the food was great I would definitely come back if hunter was kept in the dish washing station read more

We love to go out for Mexican but I will probably not return to this restaurant. They were busy both times I've been there. The service was very slow and our server was very overwhelmed. We wanted to order an appetizer with our drinks. The server said oh I need to come back to get the food order. I shared the chicken fajitas with my husband and thought they very below average. The meat was very dry and we couldn't use the lettuce because it was brown. We ordered a cheese quesadilla for my son. It was very greasy and the cheese was not melted so he didn't eat any of it. Upside- the Queso dip is pretty tasty but it's not a traditional Mexican dip. Our margaritas were ok but we both ordered a second one to go with our meal and we waited awhile before those came. Moved to Canton last year from California where we have many, many authentic Mexican restaurants and this place doesn't come close. Everything here is overly salty and bland. If your looking for true authentic Mexican food here in the area, try Beyond Borders in Plymouth. This is probably one of my go-to Mexican restaurants when I need comfort food or when I'm with friends. I also love that there are two entrance/exits to MF, since Ford rd is a nightmare to be on. Every time I come here, I ask for a side of guacamole, so I can munch on some chips and salsa while I look over the menu. The chips, depending on what time you get there, are fresh and hot out of the oven and other times cold and sometime a few stale chips. They also tend to be on the greasy side. My usual choice of meal is cheese enchiladas with a side of beans and rice. The first time I tried this dish, I remember not liking it very much, but boy did it hit the spot, after a tough day at work. They definitely don't skimp on the cheese, in any dishes! It can be salty, but what do you expect. It's great when you have a bite of r&b's. My hubs fav is probably the nachos. It comes overflowing with cheese, peppers, onions, beans and beef. The small is a good size, if you have a party of four and want to split it as an appetizer. My hubs and I ordered a large order for lunch and we still couldn't finish it. I've also tried the taco salad, which is also ginormous and even too big for my hubs (he normally clears his plate) to finish in one sitting. I thought it was on the salty side and I'm not sure if it's because of the green olives, but I probably won't get this dish again. Another time we came, I decided to order chorizo and eggs and was really disappointed at how unflavored and bland the chorizo was. I was thoroughly confused because I figured, hey it's a Mexican restaurant and chorizo is usually only available at MR or markets, wouldn't the chorizo be out of this world? Nope. It was not. I would give this place a 3-3.5, based on the several dishes I've tried. My favorite thing there is definitely the guacamole, so do yourself a favor next time you go, to get a side for your chips or even your dish! read more

I absolutely loved this place and I will be returning to them for as long as I can! The service is mediocre, but the food is wonderful and expensive!! ‍‍ I like the cactus too!! I didn't like that they gave me the wrong order on my stuffed jalapeño because I wanted it with shrimp but I just got cheese the server screwed that part up. Went to this restaurant today for two carry out meals. Fajita and combo meals. I live less than a mile away. The chicken fajita was over cooked and dry, beans and rice barely warm. The combo meal was a joke. I ordered two tamales, One tostada with beef added which I paid extra, and two beef tacos. I asked the employee taking the order Please DO NOT cut the tamales in half to put in a round container. Soo when I received my food I checked my order and yes the tamales were cut and stuffed into a round container. I showed the employee that took my order he said to wait for two new ones. While waiting my added beef was NOT on my tostada and my beans and rice were NOT apart of my order. When the employee came back to me with my tamales they again were cut and still in a round container. I told the employee about the other items that were wrong, he asked if I would wait for a moment. He left the front desk and went in back and never returned. This restaurant was good many years ago, but not now! Don't waste your money or time. The food and service is sub par at best. read more

Mexican Fiesta II is a great place. The décor is fresh and modern and contains hints of the ancient Mesoamerican cultures that help to infuse the Mexican culture with much of its mystery. The food is hot and fresh - especially the Flaming Cheese. A delicious blend of cheese, spices and chorizo. Eaten with chips or a fajita or mixed in a taco or with another dish the Flaming Cheese will find a way to your heart by way of its mouthwatering flavor. The staff and management here are very much in tune with the clientele. Service at the tables is cheery and conversational. Questions are answered in a professional and cultured manner. Service at the pickup desk is lively and excited - and all transactions accurate. A special attraction here are the small booths at the front of the restaurant. Seemingly out in the open they provide a casual and intimate meeting space. They are quiet and adorned with art. The wall hangings and paintings are especially appealing. Some are restful, some filled with Mexican lore and all are beautiful! read more

I admittedly grew up going to the Dearborn location so I have a bit more fondness for that space but my mom moved closer to the Canton location about a year ago so this one is now our go-to for takeout in her neighborhood. First off, this place is ALWAYS banging. I recently went to get takeout on a Thursday night and thank goodness I called ahead because this place was ridiculously crowded. The wait for a table was about an hour and there was barely parking available in the lot. I had to park in a "no parking" zone just to run in and get my takeout. When I brought the eats home they were nice and hot and pretty tasty. Nothing really healthy here but if you want heavy, cheese laden Mexican this is for you. Combos are very generously portioned, as are most of the dishes, and the price points are fairly reasonable. We had about 2-3 days worth of food from our three entrees and we paid around $35 for them. Not too shabby. Great takeout, not haute cuisine but it gets the job done. Highly recommend calling ahead for takeout or preparing yourself for a wait if you order in or want table. read more
