I don't write a lot of reviews, but I feel like this one is necessary. A perfect example of how certain people in the post yelp world can weaponize their sense of entitlement to try to give a really good restaurant a bad name. This was my first time here, and I enjoyed every part of the experience. Great vibe, really good michelada, and as the bartender Cindy correctly told me, the birria tacos are "bomb"! Cindy and another server came and checked on how I was multiple times, and the person I think is the manager came over twice to check on me as well. Oh, and before I forget the DJ was doing their thing as well. I feel sorry for people who can come to a spot like this, and force themselves into having a bad time. No one is perfect every time, but even if Mi Corazon was having an off day, I could only see myself leaving here with a smile. Thanks for a great time, and I'll be back soon read more

Came here for a Saturday night dinner with the fam after a day at Griffith Observatory. Restaurant is a modern upscale style and interior is nicely decorated. Plenty of seating, dimly lit, has a bar, and has open windows so you can feel the breeze. The food overall, was good. We ordered the Fundido for appetizer, poblano Mac n cheese, big nachos w carne asada, birria tacos plate, asada plate, extra rice and beans, and a jalapeño drink. Nice presentation. Portions are great but you will definitely pay up. I know you're paying for the LA location, ambience, and fancy experience but prices were very expensive, imo. Food could use some more seasoning also, especially with the asada plate and Mac and cheese or if not at least some more salt. Not sure if our waiter (didn't get his name) was just having a bad night but he was not friendly. He seemed to be in a bad mood and short in conversation. For a Saturday night, the place seemed understaffed and not busy which is surprising for the location it's in. Another waiter however, was very friendly and he made our experience better as he actually smiled and checked in with us. Overall, the food is good. Restaurant is nicely decorated with good music. On the other hand, very expensive and service needs to be improved. Probably wouldn't come back though, high price and disappointing service. read more

Food was good and greats were great. Loved the party vibe so i marked it as one of my favorites so we took a friend for her bday. The service was awful. We waited a long time to even get greated and when they came to "help" us no hello but "do you have a reservation " abruptly. the restaurant was half empty and the man walked around helping others. comes to us finally to walk us to our table telling me "you will be asked to leave if the next party isn't here" i didn't feel welcomed. we noticed they treated others that were older the same, hoping they would leave. Took a while to get our order, food, and drinks. didn't ask how our food and experiences was. we had to constantly look for them to serve us. our time wasn't done for the unlimited mimosas but stopped servicing us without any communication. won't be going back read more

Love the decor of this place and they had a live dj for Saturday brunch, however we did have a reservation for 2 and if you come just as a party of 2 the tables are a little tight and not that many to choose from inside. They do have some tables on the sidewalk. Once we sat down our waitress came and told us to scan the code for the menu. She wasn't that attentive even though we were early it was around 12. We ordered the mimosa flight so they bring you the champagne bottle with 4 small carafes of juices. The champagne bottle in ice bucket was just placed on our table and this was just sweating, the water was all over our small table and we needed so many napkins. The waitress finally came by after a while after she took our order and then said she was leaving and the bar would take care of us. Which the young man actually ended taking better care of us than she did. He was checking In on us and made sure we had more space as he saw how tight our table was Besides this the food was awesome, tasty and good portions We had the shrimp tacos and the combination plate with a potato taco and enchilada. Beautiful place with excellent Mexican food and amazing drinks! Started off with fresh guacamole and chips/salsa. Ordered some ahi tuna ceviche to share and it was excellent (I was tempted to order a 2nd one but we still had main dishes coming ). My husband has the fried shrimp tacos and he loved them. I had chicken flautas with 1/2 mole and 1/2 salsa oaxaqueña. I recommend you try the salsa oaxaqueña - not sure how it's made but it's a creamy and spicy, rich sauce that really complemented the dish. Our friends had fish tacos birria tacos with consomé. Real cute place for brunch. I've been on a brunch run lately and found Mi Corazon. It happened to be the replacement of another establishment that I really enjoyed. (Barberella) The food from other Yelpers looked great and I just had to come and check it out! With a group of friends we ordered a bunch of shareables and they were all tasty. And who can have brunch without some cocktails? I am a fan of Mezcal and they had a variety of house made cocktails with it. I really liked this place. Is the food out of this world? No. Is it tasty? Definitely. I got the beer-battered fish tacos. Solid dish. Breaded-to-perfection with a delicious aioli sauce. My only real complaint is that for $22, one more taco would have been appreciated. I mean, I get it...it's seafood... My friend got the vegetarian nachos. They too were tasty, but the refried beans weren't fully mashed, so I got a few bites of full pinto beans...I still enjoyed the dish, though. The red salsa is great. Definitely compliments the tacos. I'll make another return visit for Margaritas and Birria tacos, which look fantastic. I'll probably return on a Sunday, Funday--this is the type of place you want to frequent on a busy, festive day to capture its essence. read more

I got the sausage, eggs, and pancakes meal and I loved the taste of everything. The pancakes had enough fluff which I liked. The ambiance for brunch on Sunday was amazing the DJ was on it. He had everyone dancing on your seats. My party saw a mix of people queers and straight people which I liked. The service was okay. The person was doing what she had to do like average. Overall I liked it and I will come back. Maybe the only tip I will give is the server to be a bit more attentive of their customers no matter who or what they are. read more

Came to this place for Brunch yesterday with a party of 4 for brunch and was very disappointed in the food and service. Our reservation was at 11:30 a.m and was rudely checked in by Johnathan who is a mediocre bartender and waiter. Johnathan made the entire experience unpleasant for our party. Johnathan was rude, passive aggressive, and making snarky comments while ordering and was unhelpful when asking questions about the menu and food. Johnathan was acting like this all while we were sitting in an empty restaurant with nobody else walking in until around 1:00 pm. I don't understand how staff is rude and unhelpful when it's not busy and we were the only tables being serviced. Also, the 20% gratuity charge explained why he didn't care to provide at least decent service, as he knew there would be a required tip for our table. What was even more disappointing was seeing Johnathan be friendly with other parties towards the end and being very attentive to others. Can't help but to feel and assume there was a personal issue with our table. Maybe because there was two gay people with us? Can't help but to feel that way as everyone else was receiving better service than our table. Aside from that, their chilaquiles plate was served with such watery salsa it was gross to eat. Came here with a group of 11 to celebrate my best friend's birthday and left extremely disappointed. We arrived around noon, and the restaurant was completely empty. Despite that, it took about 25 minutes before we were acknowledged and received water along with chips and guacamole. Drinks took another 20 minutes, and unfortunately the Low Rider pitchers were terrible, very acidic and barely any alcohol. Once drinks finally arrived, our server disappeared for over 20 minutes without checking in. When we were finally able to order food, it was underwhelming at best. The rice and beans were bland, and overall the food was forgettable. The service was the biggest issue. For an empty restaurant, the lack of timing, attentiveness, and basic check-ins was shocking. Our server came to the table maybe three times total, only to drop items off. We couldn't get water refills or additional chips, and there was no follow-up whatsoever. For a party of 11--especially one prepared to leave over a 20% tip, the level of neglect was wild. Between the poor service, weak drinks, and subpar food, this was not an experience worth repeating. There are far better Mexican food spots in the area, and unfortunately, this one doesn't compare. I wouldn't return. read more

Chips and salsa and guacamole for $20ish dollars only for them to not refill your chips. The drinks were yummy so that made up for it. My husband I went to Mi Corazon for the first time tonight. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the friendly waiter who gave us the choice of where to sit. I wish more restaurants did that. Of course, we chose the only table that was not cleared yet but the waited didn't flinch. He just took care of it with a smile. The margaritas were beautifully decorated. Then, the waiter was nice enough to tell us to get our orders in, before the big group next to us. We got our food pretty fast and it was amazing. I would describe it as gourmet Mexican. The music was very upbeat and we couldn't help but dance in our seat. There was a big TV screen right in front of us, so we could comment of the sports as we were eating. At the end of our meal, the owners of restaurant came by to ask us how our meal was. As it turns out, it is a family restaurant, which made us feel even better. Very warm and welcoming people. This is was first time at this restaurant and I had a blast. We celebrated my stepfather's birthday dinner gathering and it was nice. The staff was very attentive and beyond accommodating even though they had limited staff. I would love to come back and try their brunch it looks good and the atmosphere is fun. The place is small inside with limited seating but they have a few seats outside in front and a big table in the back of the restaurant for big parties. Due to the shortage of staff, the wait time was long for the food and drinks, but overall the performance of the staff was great. The food was decent and the drinks were good. It's a great place to hang out and have drinks or eat brunch. Parking can be very difficult and frustrating because they don't have valet parking or a parking structure so you have to park on the streets up on a hill or in front of the restaurant. Came here to meet some friends for drinks. I do not drink at this moment so I was excited to see they offer non alcoholic drinks for the sober community. They use this spirit called little saint's that I have been wanting to try for awhile. It is made with lions mane mushrooms so it's actually good for you as well. The guava margarita I got with this was so delicious. It is definitely worth the price. The food is also great too. I'm so happy I found a place I can go enjoy a drink that isnt just soda or juice. And no it doesn't give you a head change at all, but I feel more social in this kind of setting. I normally drink kava sometimes but if you have ever had it it's not something you sip on .. so I'm glad I'm able to be out and enjoy a great non alcoholic cocktail. read more

This review is overdue, but my friend and I had a great time at Mi Corazón, and we will be more than happy to return once she comes back to visit me in LA! I tried their vegan enchilada plate and it was delicious. My friend had the chicken enchiladas and she also enjoyed her food. We both got drinks and unfortunately, I did not like their Michelada, which is not something rare since I moved to LA (growing up in a border town, I tasted the best, authentic Micheladas from Mexico). Nevertheless, our server was quick to serve me another drink and kindly removed the Michelada from our bill. My friend got a couple more drinks and we both had a great time. The ambience and music on point! Reggaeton a todo lo que da! Lol. Plus, our server was such a cool guy and he deserves credit for taking our photos! P.s. This spot was surprisingly POPPIN on a Sunday at 5:30pm. There was a live DJ playing Hip Hop/ Latin music, a ton of people partying and dancing. A great selection of foods items and a huge specialty cocktail make it easy to find something for everyone. The highlight of the evening were really the cocktails as I tried a few and really enjoyed the drinks. Service was overall pretty good, did take a while to get the drinks and check but the server and bartender were understandably busy with all the tables being full.
