Just ate here for the first time, ambiance and price were comparable. I asked at the dentists office for a good place to eat and was told to try it. Well I wasn't let down because the service was excellent and the food was incredible. I asked my server Hector S to order whatever he'd order for himself and to ask the bartender for a drink of their choice (I think every restaurant should have chef/managers choice "no substitutions" on their menu). Congratulations on the presentation and aroma of the "Hell Freezes Over" drink, it was impressive and very promising but the flavor was just a spicy lime. Now the food I can't even make a suggestion on because it was just that good. I appreciate Hector and thank the chef for the Cochinta Pibil and highly recommend it to anyone that cares. The music is always insanely loud, with overpriced cocktails with subpar ingredients and gimmicks. I guess whatever keeps the money flowing right? Just an amazing dinner experience from start to finish. We were seated quickly and enjoyed spacious seating on the outside patio. Chips and salsa were quickly delivered and really tasty. Stoped in for a late lunch today after visiting my daughter at the hospital across the street. What a treat! Great Mexican and TexMex and an incredible selection of tequila. I ordered the Christmas burrito and my wife have tacos. Both were amazing. We also ordered Chile Con Queso with ground beef as an appetizer. It was delicious. It had a unique flavor that was perfect. Last Saturday was our first dining experience at Mi Dia and after that, there will be many more to follow! It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our server, Chelsea aka "Red," greeted us promptly, explained the concept of the restaurant to us, and remained attentive throughout the entire dining experience. There was a slight issue with my food and Chelsea was quick to rectify the situation. The manager brought out my new plate and apologized sincerely for the mishap. We were 100% impressed with our server and management and how this minor issue was addressed. The food was absolutely amazing and I find that it's not often that good food and good service coexist anymore. Needless to say, we will definitely be back! And soon! read more

When they were building the restaurant, it didn't look like much when driving past on 2499. But we dropped in for the first time last night and were completely impressed with everything. Great food! I mean really great Mexican food, in my opinion; great drinks and great service. Pricey for Mexican but we'll be back. My husband,daughter and I tried Mi Dia today for the first time. We'd not heard of it before and came in because we were driving around looking for somewhere new to try. The restaurant looked very inviting, the atmosphere is warm and nice. I'd looked up the menu online and was a little and was a little weary of the price point. Sometimes restaurants hike up prices for pretentious menus that are not orchestrated well. This was not the case here. We were greeted extremely friendly and polite, sat at a great table in this beautiful restaurant and brought water immediately without asking. The music was upbeat and on theme for a Mexican restaurant,So far so good... our server was prompt and knowledgeable, the lunch menu had reasonable prices and creative options, we did not utilize the kids menu because it's $7 for a kids meal but that includes a drink and sopapilla, but our 4 year old rarely eats her food, so I didn't get her, her own. My husband ordered a coke to drink. They serve Mexican coke in the bottle which is a nice surprise, although that also means no free refills... we received fresh chips and very hot red/green salsa upon seating also, very good. We asked our sever her favorites on the menu, she was very knowledgeable and positive about so many dishes! We ordered steak nachos $12, pastoral dreamer fried chicken with green Chile $14 and the enchilada, rice, tortilla soup and salad meal $11. The steak on the nachos was cooked perfectly very tender and flavorful. the pastoral dreamer chicken had a nice crunch to it we ordered queso to go on it, it was very nice. The very best however was my enchilada, rice, soup and salad meal. I went with spinach for the enchilada, and the spinach was amazing, it was just slightly sautéed so the the spinach was perfect and not soggy. It tasted like it was sautéed in some sort of broth, and the ranchero sauce was so incredible, I can't stop thinking about it. The tortilla was also one of the best I've tasted. I was very impressed. My soup was good, lots of veggies in it and a pretty green slice of avocado, and the salad was awesome, fresh corn cut from the cob, and pepitta seeds with a lemon ginger dressing that is to die for. I was happy across the board with everything we ate and our entire experience. We'll come back soon! read more

The icying on the cake was the $2.50 for a warm can of Dr.Pepper with no new glass/extra ice on the 'refill' (which took forever and cost another $2.50). The free chips are always warm and fresh and the salsa has a flavor like no other. But be aware- the salsa is spicy so if you are not a hot salsa type of person, you may want to ask for a milder one. The bar doesn't skimp when mixing up the drinks either! I ordered the chimichanga plate, which I thought was very well prepared with just the right crispy edges shells and flavor. My food wasn't salty, it came out warm and tasted VERY fresh, and my server helped me pick the right drink to pair my meal. The prices are a bit high if you consider just the meal name with other places but you are seriously paying the extra for flavor and beautiful patio and fountain ambiance. The most memorable part of eating here is the incredibly expensive pricing, given the products. I had the Tequila Pesto Enchiladas. While the topping sauce was pleasant, it was by no means a flavorful experience. Similarly, the shrimp filling the enchiladas was tasteless, seemingly having been boiled and chopped with no evidence of spices. The flavor free approach to dining extended to the black beans. I typically don't add salt to my food once served, but I had no choice...bland would be a generous description. My spouse did enjoy a very flavorful margarita, but then at $12 it should be. Finally got a chance to try this place and was not disappointed. Though a bit on the pricier side, it is Flower Mound, so I expected it. I got the Xmas Burrito and my date got the chimichanga. Both were excellent and worth the visit. However, the star of the show was the steak nachos we had for an appetizer. It was so simple with just freshly grilled steak on top of nachos with a little smear of beans and cheese. However, it was the most delicious steak I have ever eaten. You could smell that it was freshly grilled and the taste was just perfect. Next time I come here I'll be dining on just nachos. They changed my life! read more
