As a New Mexico native, I was intrigued by the Santa Fe segment of the menu. For sure the chef knows how to handle blue corn tortillas and Hatch green/red Chile sauces. The restaurant was beautiful, the service professional and the food a novel presentation of favorite, familiar flavors. read more

Went for an event with a group, the atmosphere was very nice and elegant and the food presentation was beautiful! I had the Wood Grilled Banana Leaf Wrapped Salmon, Rubbed with achiote, citrus and was served with morita whipped potatoes, sauteed chayote & mango-lemongrass mojo. So good! We tried this place when it first opened, all I can remember is we didn't like it much. We decided to give it another try and first went on a Thursday around 3pm. It was nice and quiet and we had excellent service from Joe. We had a lunch special of hard shell taco, enchiladas, tamales, and of course chips and salsa. Saturday,after our movie didn't work out, we went back to Mi Dia. I called ahead and asked how long was the wait for 2 people and she said they currently had openings. I swear we got there in 5 minutes and in fact we waited almost 40 minutes. Please do not mislead people on the phone, we would have gone elsewhere knowing it was Saturday night and would be getting more crowded. This time it was really loud, which I would expect on a busy weekend. Once again, we had Joe as our server and had excellent service! This time I had carne asada with blue corn cheese enchilladas and it was awesome! My husband had the same thing as our previous lunch time meal. Everything was great and we will be back. The one design complaint I have is the booth seats are way to low, or the table is too high. I am only 5'3" and husband 5'7" and we felt like little kids whose feet don't touch the ground, which is uncomfortable when trying to eat. guess there's nothing they can do, but consider this when building in the future. If i was 6 foot, wouldn't have been a problem. read more

I called about reservations on Christmas Eve and was told they would close at 5:00. I made my reservation for 4:30 jokingly saying will I have time to eat in a 1/2 hour. Of course, we will not close until all guests have left. Today.........being Christmas Eve....... I was called and told my reservation was cancelled as they had decided to close at 3:30. I said when was that decision made........this morning BUT I could come in earlier. I have been to Mi Dia several times and enjoyed the service and food. Meh. The service was average at best. Had to signal the manager to place our order. I ordered a coke. One bottle, that's it. Place another order if you want more. I had the carnitas de..something (pork tacos). Meat was not tender. It was chewy with very burnt edges. I had to chew carefully because it was like chewing on rock-lined leather. Two others in party ordered the stuffed pepper. They ate about half of order. Not a very impressive restaurant especially for being newly opened. read more

After a long day with family, I was able to escape for an awesome dinner and drinks. I sat at the bar and had GREAT service from Alyssa. The quesadillas were simply AWESOME! I had a couple different varieties of margaritas and they were phenomenal. They use lemon juice - which was different (in a good way). I will definitely be back! read more

Tried Flower Mound Mi Dia Saturday. Fantastic! If you appreciate authentic chile (red & green), you'll love this place. Great menu, lots of options - seafood, pork, beef, duck. I chose from the Sante Fe menu and was not disappointed. Great preparation, true to the style of New Mexico or far West Texas. Yes, it has some kick. Stick to the generic Tex Mex joints if you don't like some heat and real Hatch chile. This is not the "chili gravy" muck most local places dump on their enchiladas. Service was very prompt, very friendly. I strongly recommend reservations, as the wait was out the door during our visit. read more

Food was NOT good tex-mex or mex, but more american than most. The sauce on the enchiladas was like wolf brand chili with no green chilies in it. Needed some dried ancho chiles , or cilantro and green onion, or maybe some Chocolate (mole). But it was plain. South west salad was more north east (fresh, but not at all southwest). Staff worked good and helpful. And drinks were watered down (Infused) and mostly ice in your glass. Good flavor but no Punch. Strawberry one was sweet and Patron one seemed to have some patron flavorings but weak. Chili infused one was a little spicy but very very weak, So if you like your Tex Mex to have some Mex flavors or (heat) and you like your margaritas to have more tequila I would go to Anamias by 3040 and 2499, or Angelina's on main street Lewisville. But if you like it weak and not spicy and mostly about atmosphere then you will enjoy it. read more
