I came here for years for the Monday special on flautas, but this is the first time visiting for breakfast. The quaint little restaurant has been a modest staple and always well kept. Parking is easy, seating inside is available, and ordering at the counter is always a pleasant experience. The women working the counter this morning weren't just nice, they were engaging and had a great humor to them. The Salsa bar doesn't have many options, but the ones they have are tasty. This morning I went back to the basics and got the Bacon breakfast burrito and added potato (surprised that potato isn't included). The burrito is a decent size and they give it a nice toast on the griddle after it's wrapped. They use a more layered approach to the filling. A large loosely scrambled egg that comes out like a folded omelet is the base. The potato they use is nicely seasoned, the same they use for potato tacos, it's a large smash, and with the layers it works and doesn't overwhelm like many hash-brown application tend to do. The bacon is pleasantly crisp on the edges with a nice chew, cheese was plentiful and, where it mingled with the egg and potato, melted nicely. There was some outlier cheese that didn't have a neighboring heat source and didn't melt, but maybe I needed to let it sit a minute more. Overall the location and service is easily 5 stars. The Burrito was good, not great, but easily one of the best values, if I hadn't added potato it was a $10 burrito and With potato still under $12. That is hard to find. Personally the layers and omelet-like egg aren't my top preference and I do wish they had a green salsa available. Overall, the breakfast burrito experience with the Bacon breakfast burrito with added potato gets 4.2 stars.

This is my #1 favorite spot. I go at least once a week. The Al pastor tacos are so good and the staff is so nice. I love the salsa which is like a tomato/tomatillo mix I've never had anything like it. Definitely check it out. read more

Been coming here since we moved so finally remembered to write a review...the place is clean and welcoming... staff are friendly and whats nice is they remember their customers...havent tried everything because i always get the 3 rolled tacos..it is perfectly fried and crunchy...and the homemade avocados is delicious with a perfect seasoning...and you can tell its fresh because the avocado are bright green not the dark green when its about to spoil...they have alot on the menu..nothing fancy...next time i will try other things...but also heard from a friend that there fish tacos are delicious...and jot only that the prices are good...not high like other places..helps alot when prices are good read more

Sorry to say - this restaurant is going downhill. It used to be excellent, but they must have lost the best cook long ago. So, now it's hit and miss. One of our favorites was the carnitas burrito. The meat was tender and delicious. The last two times we had this it was dry, over-cooked and even burnt edges. I hate burnt edges of pork or chicken on tacos too - they have made that error on tacos also. Also - I HATE eating tacos on paper plates that are so thin and weak they bend - they are flimsy and super cheap. Other dishes Mi Pueblo offers are served on sturdier foam type plates, somewhat better - if you can't do dishes. It's strange that they choose to use 2 different kinds of paper plates for their patrons. They are stingy on their salsa also. For 4 tacos, you might get 3 tiny plastic holders. There are other things that have changed, but this is enough. I hope they make good changes. read more

Lilee is the nicest! I came here after it being suggested oddly enough by a homeless guy that we were handing out food to in North Menifee! So driving by I decided to try it. The food is made quickly and very good. I got the beef taquitos rice and beans and a flan to go. I got to practice my Spanish and she was so nice with me :-) The flan was OK I think it might have been because it was just made? Taquitos were really good very flavorful. Rice and beans are really good which I always base my opinion on a restaurant. :-) read more

The older woman who works at this restaurant is extremely rude and unprofessional for a business. I witnessed an argument that this older woman started with a family and she was plain rude and came from no where! I honestly feel bad for the family. The owner of the business seriously needs to reconsider who they want to represent their business because this woman is not it! read more

5 star service here at Mi Pueblo! Tucked away in the shopping center near Autozone and Menifee Bicycles, I had the chance to enjoy the BEST Chorizo burrito (PLAIN-I just wanted the meat!) this side of the border. I was greeted with a smile from Lilian who took my order promptly, offered me salsa cups, and checked on me during my meal. Bathrooms were clean and spotless and their deserts/pasteles were equally satisfying. I will be back to try their other menu options. Went here today and my family member told me when she ordered the food the older lady wasn't really nice. So then my family member asked another lady working there for a sandwich bag so we can get some carrots. The worker didn't acknowledged that she heard her, she just kept walking and went behind the counter and then gave her the bag. We said oh yeah we definitely won't be coming back here. I try to support small businesses, but the ones who don't want my support won't never have to worry about me coming again. read more

i live in michigan and every year i come to visit in california i order mi pueblo. i look forward to ordering it months before my trip. the breakfast burritos are our favorite. chorizo and eggs is the best. my dad always orders huevos rancheros. this trip i switched it up as i no longer eat meat or dairy so i went with a bean and rice burrito (not on the menu but it was ordered as a bean and cheese burrito-no cheese add rice). the tortillas and the salsa are to die for so as long as i had these i was happy. the orders come with 2 1oz containers that you can fill with salsa from the salsa bar. it is a strict salsa ration but if you want more you can definitely buy more. luckily my boyfriend is a baby when it comes to spice so i got his two cups for salsa. i am big on salsas and sauces so i definitely use more than the two for one burrito. the burritos are huge-see pics for reference- and delicious. i will always look forward to ordering from mi pueblo when i'm in town. nothing in michigan compares. read more

The food was amazing. I got a catering order to bring lunch to a nearby business. We got carne asada, carnitas and grilled chicken tacos. SO DELICIOUS!! The only thing that I didn't love was the nickel and diming on the sauces. The orders come with very specific amounts and there is a pretty hefty price tag a for anything above that. The salsa bar was great but again not included in catering and a small container was almost $10. I think you can throw in some zanahorias for an almost $200 order without breaking the bank... read more

The food is phenomenal! We've tried so many things; they have the best lengua I've ever had, ceviche tostadas are so good, Carne asada is great, chile relleno is so good, I don't miss the sauce dressed on it like other restaurants, the fish tacos and HUGE and tasty. Im only giving 3 stars just because the older lady working at the counter is RUDE unprofessional and disrespectful! We have been customers for a very long time and every time we go there it just happens that she has attitude... Nobody else but just HER! it's like she is always looking for petty things to off on ...yesterday we had an embarrassing dilemma about the salsa ..she embarrased my husband tried telling him not to grab salsa directly to the chips? ...but that wasn't the issue the issue was her yelling at him like he was 5!!! ( Anyways me his wife as in shock and disbelief looked at her because my reaction was furious shocked and in disbelief!! She proceeded to tell me ( I DONT LIKE HOW YOU LOOKING AT ME!?) .WELL OF COURSE LADY BECAUSE YOUR LITERALLY APPROATECHED US UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Anyways the food is 5 stars but HER as for customer SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! **We were able to talk to more people who witnessed the altercation (2 customers)and they all agreed about that same lady!!! She needs another job because clearly her customer service LACKS! read more

Mi Pueblo = Muy Bueno! Been here a few times. Crunchy Tacos are Bomb, Breakfast Burritos are On Point, but the Star for me are the Flautas. I had the Shredded Beef Flautas and they were everything I wanted them to be! They were Huge, Crispy and full of Juicy Meat. Topping them with Sour Cream and Cheese was a nice touch. Saves me time from doing it myself. I try Flautas everywhere I go and am disappointed most of the time. Remember, if you order Flautas and they're made with corn tortillas, those aren't Flautas! Those are called Taquitos. These are made with Flour Tortillas like the good lord intended. Can't complain about the prices either. Cheaper than Carnitas Express for sure, but just as good. Definitely coming back for more! read more

Visiting from AZ for a few days and always liked the fish tacos & taquitos from this place but last time I was visiting it seemed like the fish tacos were not quite as good. Now this time I tried the tacos, asked if they can fry the taco shells she said yes. Very disappointed they were store bought crispy taco shells. Sorry I will not be back in the future. We ordered sides of beans and rice. The food ordering was quick and easy, they said 2 hours to prep. The food tasted good only thing we ordered frijoles de La ola but we got refried honestly not a big deal. Was plenty to go around! Looking forward to trying other items on their menu read more

The ambience is very annoying, it seems as if they are confused about what kind of restaurant they want to be. Is it a Sports Bar? Fancy Mexican Restaurant? Night Club? The menu makes you believe it's a Fancy Mexican Restaurant, all the while the tv's by the bar play sports games and loud annoying music over the sound system makes you believe it's a Sports Bar/Night club. Now the food...the food is awful. The end. (Well, what we ordered anyway) But more specifically, imagine the worst Mexican fast food served on a fancy plate... Soft Drink 1 $5: Sprite: Good Soft Drink 2 $5: Coke: Bad (too syrupy and flat) Bean, Cheese and Rice Burrito $16: Beans tasted old and burnt, rice tasted old and stale (possibly microwaved). The only decent thing was the tortilla. Carne Asada Quesadilla $18: The Meat tasted dry and old, hardly any cheese and tortilla was dry. Rolled Taquitos $15: The only kind of edible dish that was served, still not very good, We were expecting something much different from the original title and description. Taquitos are small, chicken tasted old and the sauce was just canned enchilada sauce. This dish should be called "Mini Taquitos Enchiladas"(to be nice) or "Taquitos Abominación" (to be honest) Seems like they just plated them very nicely as to cover up the mediocre taste. One positive is that the service was amazing, our server (Angelina) was very attentive and friendly. The food came out quick, which in this case, wasn't a good thing. We did mention to our server that the food "wasn't very good" she said we "should've said something earlier" (not sure what that meant) but we still decided to pay the full amount. I wish they could've accommodated a refund or percentage off the check or something. The total amount for everything including Taxes & Tip was $74.77. Very over priced especially for what we've experienced and ultimately not worth it. We will not be returning to this place. It's a shame we hardly finished our plates (we were hungry mind you) except for the taquitos which were somewhat the only edible thing on the table besides the chips, both of which still being not good, including the salsas that were provided. I'm hoping they do some quality control on every item on the menu, They truly need it. You should be ashamed, Tacos & Tequila. P.S. And to top it all off, we both are experiencing stomach issues after consuming their food, I'd say stay away from this place. And for the love of God don't trust the rave reviews!!

We got the birria fries and while I was initially shook that a single taco would run you $5.00... we immediately realized why when we opened up the takeaway container. The big tacos are not your average street taco size, they are B-I-G. I can usually eat 5-6 street tacos, but I got sooo full after eating 1/4 of the fries and 1 taco. This dish should be called "Mini Taquitos Enchiladas"(to be nice) or "Taquitos Abominación" (to be honest) Seems like they just plated them very nicely as to cover up the mediocre taste. One positive is that the service was amazing, our server (Angelina) was very attentive and friendly. The food came out quick, which in this case, wasn't a good thing. We did mention to our server that the food "wasn't very good" she said we "should've said something earlier" (not sure what that meant) but we still decided to pay the full amount. I wish they could've accommodated a refund or percentage off the check or something. The total amount for everything including Taxes & Tip was $74.77. Very over priced especially for what we've experienced and ultimately not worth it. We will not be returning to this place. It's a shame we hardly finished our plates (we were hungry mind you) except for the taquitos which were somewhat the only edible thing on the table besides the chips, both of which still being not good, including the salsas that were provided. I'm hoping they do some quality control on every item on the menu, They truly need it. You should be ashamed, Tacos & Tequila. P.S. And to top it all off, we both are experiencing stomach issues after consuming their food, I'd say stay away from this place. And for the love of God don't trust the rave reviews!!
