This is my go to spot when I'm craving tacos or a burrito. The service is good and any time I'm unsure of what something is, the employees politely explain. The only downside is when they are really busy. Order numbers end up out of order so sometimes you are waiting a long time for your food because there are so many order tickets being added to their order ring. Since I discovered this place about 4 months ago it's become my go-to for Taco Tuesday. They have the best hard-shell chicken or beef tacos in town for only $1.90 each on Tuesdays. They also have a special on fish tacos on Fridays but I'm not sure of the price. Be warned that they can get crazy-busy during the lunch rush on Tuesdays! Although this place is very simple in its decor, it's very clean. Very clean bathrooms too! My only complaint it that the ladies who work the counter don't smile much. One in particular. Wow!!! I have been coming here off and on for years, but today will be my last time. I have never in my life been to a Mexican restaurant that charges for salsa. Today the cashier informed me that she had already gave me two one oz salsas, and anything else would be 50 cents. This is no different then McDonald's charging for ketchup, or ice in your water. Came here with a large group, about 9 people, and the food came so fast ! It's a small place, with its own coffee bar, salsa bar, and packaged tortilla chips and buñuelos. The food was good, the only complaint anyone in my group had was that it was missing a bit of seasoning and needed salt, but it's always better to need salt than to have too much in your food! The food is good and reasonably priced BUT I don't come as often anymore. They have a sign posted by the register saying that salsa is a privilege. LOL, okay that's fine if they think that. They are super skimpy when it comes to giving you salsa with the food you purchase. For example, I ordered 2 Bacon Burritos, 2 Beef Tacos, and 2 Flautas. I was given 6 small containers of salsa. I told the lady I ordered 2 BIG burritos and I only wanted 2 more - let me remind you the salsa containers are SMALL. She wouldn't give me what I asked for. If you ask me, this is bad business. Overall this place was just okay. It was busy, but the food did not impress. I was disappointed that the tortillas were not cooked enough for our tacos. I'm basically a recovering salt addict, so it was worse that I had to salt my own food. On the one hand, I was hoping the salsa bar would fix it, but the salsa didn't help. On the other, I appreciate being able to salt to my tasting, but I'd prefer my food ready to go when it arrives. I didn't see salt shakers at every table which leads me to believe the chefs believe the meat is primo when it gets to your table, but I had to borrow salt from another table across the restaurant. The meat had some chewy parts to it, which we had to pick out. The food looked promising but I found it a miss. I'm still on the search for amazing street tacos. read more

So for the people saying that they are rude, you must've done something for them to act that way. Every single person I have encountered are SO nice so that's confusing to me. So I love the shredded beef hard shell tacos and the albondigas soup is amazing. I also could power through the cheese quesadillas. Food is pretty good. I kind of stick to tortas but my family try things all over the menu. Everyone is happy with their picks. We love the side salsas and pickled vegetables. They are fast making our food and courteous unless you get crazy about excessive sides. That's a joke by the way. They set up side guidelines but will just accommodate reasonable requests. They'll skip you no matter how little you order and how much the other party orders. This place is always packed, smells clean and their food is always fresh and delicious. My go to is a michelada ( amazing!) and the #8 (2 beef tacos, rice and beans.) What I also love is that they provide trays of rice (the best orange rice you will ever taste!) and trays of refried beans for at home get togethers when you don't feel like cooking. read more

Disappointment is an understatement in the handling of customers on the evening of 7/24/2022. More specifically the woman who was passed my call, Laura. I attempted to place a take out order for my usual flauta fix that I have been getting here for 10+ years, and with being pregnant, saying I was experiencing a craving is an understatement. I called on to place the order and managed to get placed on hold for 6 minutes only for my call to be disconnected and when I tried calling back, every attempt was met with "User Busy." At that point, I told my husband to drive directly there even if he had to wait for the food to be made, which was fine because I assumed being Sunday, they were just busy and Google and Yelp both said they closed at 9pm. My husband drove down there, mind you a 15 minute drive from our home, only to arrive at 7:52pm and be met at the door by a woman saying they were closed and could not take any more orders. He immediately called me and I asked him if anyone else was in line to place an order and he said there was a couple still waiting to order and be tendered at the POS, leading me to believe that they were blatantly refusing to take our business. I called the restaurant directly and was answered with "Thank you for calling Mi Pueblo. Sorry we're closed" at which point I told the young lady what was going and that it was a reflection of poor business practice being that I as a customer did everything on my part to place the order in more than one way, and I extended the question of anything could be done to rectify the situation since my husband was literally there. She placed me on hold and Laura took over the call, and I gave her the same recount of what happened and posed the same question of what could be done to rectify the situation. She said nothing because their system shuts down automatically at 8 and prints a statement. (I've worked retail and there's no system that auto shut downs like that, at least not businesses that have been around for as long as they have) I then followed up with, what if he pays cash, and she went back to the same excuse of the system shutting down. Mind you, I spoke to her at 8:02pm and my husband was waiting in the parking lot and could see the couple in line paying for their order... If the goal was to close early or just not care to stay open for whatever reason, say it but don't try to play customers for fools, more so when clearly, they would like to continue being patrons despite the shortcomings and poor handling of the situation. I do believe I did everything humanly possible to get the food I was looking for, and still asked her prior to hanging up if anything could be done (gas isn't cheap and a hangry pregnant woman that now isn't getting the food she wanted, do the math) and she said no. No apology or even inclination to do anything to rectify even if it was a come back tomorrow and we'll give you a free flauta or something. As a current business owner, I at a minimum attempt to figure out what I can do to correct any confusion or help out a disgruntled client, but Laura's move was to say "No" and cater to whoever she had physically in front of her. Shame on her customer service skills and I know it's a family owned business but come on, you have loyal customers and treat them that way even though your business setup and operational systems isn't their fault... like reality is, you still write down your orders on a notepad and pass them to the back. Cash wasn't an option?? Ownership (dad, mom or whoever busted their butt to get this place going and built, talk to her please because even though I'm just one household, you did lose a customer tonight due to her lack of empathy and apparently the "system" you use that dictates the money your business can/cannot bring in depending on when it wants to shut down... read more

Went here recently for carne asada fries after my run... Yeah, counterproductive, I know. No shame in my game. But those carne asada fries hit the spot! I poured a little hot sauce over it and bit into one of their jalapenos with every bite. My mouth was on fire but it was so good and so worth it! My husband and I went to this place for lunch. I asked for a small container to put the shoppe cilantro from the sauce bar for the tacos and flying sauces we ordered for lunch. The employee said No to me and she said she already gave me one small plastic container for the carrots. But she gave one to the other customer to put his cilantro.
