We started going because we were told by others that the food is delicious and reasonable and they make a delicious chili relleno. At that time the chili relleno plate, w Tea, was under six dollars. After 20 years, the same plate is just over eight dollars. All their food is delicious, even the menudo is home made and very good. The chili relleno is always a hit. We stopped here for breakfast tacos. I ordered the three tacos for $5.50. I had the bacon and potato taco, the chorizo and egg, and the chorizo and potato taco. I chose corn tortillas. The food came out fast and was absolutely delicious. The waitress was very nice and made sure we had refills on all of our drinks. I went to this place for the first time the other day. It's been around for many years, but I had never heard about it until I found this place on Yelp. We got here at 2:30 when the place closes at 3:00. Nonetheless, we were given great service. Our server was friendly and didn't rush us out (don't worry...we left as soon as we were done, which was around 3:15). I had the cheese enchilada plate, and it was excellent. It wasn't the crap that's canned or over salted, this was the real thing. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. The tortillas were soft and fresh also. I'll definitely be going back here. We've been getting breakfast at the same old place for over 10 years. We were told about this place by a relative. Called in a "to go" order that went smoothly and no issues. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were plentiful and the flavors were outstanding! (Just like my mother's ...) It's in a shopping strip so I almost passed it up I was really impressed by the warm greeting and the willingness to assist me with my decisions or better yet food choices based on what I was looking for. I got it Togo as I normally do so I could actually take my time and savor the moment. So I decided to start with the shrimp quesadilla and I will tell you it is the best I've had so far I absolutely love grilled onions and they didn't hold back on them. And the shrimp were huge and cooked to perfection. I actually became full eating it but I needed to know what the empanadas were about. Well they were delicious it had beef and potatoes I dipped them in the queso which was also delicious. I will return I just need them fried a little bit harder. Found this place thanks to Yelp, when looking for a Mexican restaurant for after a doctor's appointment. It came well-recommended by Yelp reviewers, and it was well deserved. I had the Chili Con Carne Enchiladas, and my wife had the Gordita Plate. We loved what we had, although I would consider going after the Chipotle Chicken Enchiladas or the Burrito Plate next time. Mostly just to try something else. The rice and beans - which can sometimes be an afterthought, at least in my experience - were terrific. Really, really good. The service was also very good. The place is a little worn, but still very comfortable in our minds. All in all, a pleasant meal. I don't know how often we'll go there, but that's due simply to the distance from home, and we're not in that area often. Which makes me sad, because I would make this "my place" happily. read more

I went to Mi Rancho Alegre to pick up about ten tacos tacos and was amazed by how many fajitas they put in my beef fajita taco. I asked for avocado slices on the side too and it was fresh avocado. They also have really good salsa verde. Their carne guisada was my favorite taco, that taco was gone too fast, didn't even have time to take a picture of it.
