One of our electrical switches at the top of the stairs leading to our basement was acting up. When we would flip the switch there was a buzzing noise as the light came on and when we shut the switch off - the light would stay on. I called Michael Keohane and left a message stating the issue that we were having. Literally, within 3 minutes he called back and we set up a time for him to come by the house to take a look (a few days later). Michael was thoughtful enough to call the day before our appointment to say there may be a quick fix to the problem and that I should try it out. I've never had a service person offer to do this before as I figured why would someone pass up an opportunity to collect some cash for a service call. But Michael literally was looking out for my best interest as the customer. The next day he came to our house while I was at work and my wife called and said he had fixed the issue, that it was minor and that no charge was necessary. From start to finish Michael was extremely friendly, professional and above all thoughtful about what was best for us. Hands down the best customer experience I have had with an electrician or any other service call for that matter. His honesty and kind gesture has earned our business for as long as we are in the area. If more companies adopted Michael's business practices it would alleviate any angst or concern on the part of the customer that they may be getting ripped off. I pretty much signed up for a yelp account to give Mike and his team a positive review. If you're like me, you dread calling specialists. But when your water heater breaks on the Friday night of memorial day weekend, it's even worse (because let's be honest, who really wants to deal with that on the Saturday morning of a long weekend). I called Keohane, and Mike was over within 2 hours. He made a really good faith effort to fix a fried control board on my water heater. When it was clear it was toast, he walked me through how to get the part replaced under warranty. I couldn't get it until the Tuesday after the long weekend, but as soon as we located the part, he had Ricky on his team pick it up and replace it the same day, and the price was reasonable. Long story short: quick response time to assess the issue, fast and helpful communication to help replace the part for free, and super fast turnaround on picking up and replacing the part, all at what I thought was a pretty reasonable price. Courteous, professional, timely, and friendly. I highly recommend Michael Keohane, Licensed Electrician. Michael and Rich showed up on a Friday evening to look at my broken AC compressor. They tested the unit, checked the rest of the system, and we agreed the compressor needed to be replaced. Michael quoted a fair price, and stuck to it. Rich showed up Saturday morning at 9:30 as promised, and had the old unit removed before I could even get outside to say hello. New unit was in and running perfectly by noon. The only negative part of this experience is that I did not call sooner. I spent all day today calling every appliance service and electrical shop in town. Of the few who actually answered their phones, Keohane was the only one who would even consider looking at a window AC. I left a message with the office, and Mike called back promptly to discuss the issue. He said he would be here in half an hour, showed up in under half that, and managed to find and fix the problem even faster than that! Given the ease of the job he reduced the fee I had been quoted significantly, so the price was more than fair. Polite friendly guys, will definitely be keeping their number handy. Keohane Electricians are amazing workers, professional, and honest. I called for an appointment to replace an ugly old flush mount light with a Chandelier. And I got a call back within minutes. They were able to come out and do the job ( to my luck ) the same day. When they arrived, they explained what had to be done, and did a great job. And to my surprise, they have the best rates around. When the job was finished, I even received a courtesy call from Mike, the owner, to see if I was happy with the job. I will use them again, and I will refer them to my family and friends. Michael is so great. He helped me out in a jam with my heat last winter and we discussed I knew I needed major AC work done in the coming season. Called him ahead of the heat wave and he came out to evaluate the work same day and had the team at my condo the next day to replace my heating and cooling system. Everything works perfectly and it was like they were never in the house when i returned to a cold condo. Work looks great and saved me a ton compared to a few other estimates I got which also said they'd need 2-3 days to do the work. Can't recommend him enough. At 8:35 this morning, I called Keohane Electric because one of my six-year-old CO/smoke detectors has been beeping like crazy every 48 hours, always, of course, in the middle of the night. Ugh, the worst. By 9:00, Mike had dropped off two of his guys. By 10:00, they had replaced all five of my detectors with new models, all of which communicate with each other as they should and should last us for years, for a very reasonable price. Super nice guys who really know what they're doing. I'm recommending them to the other owners in my building -- and from now on, these are my go-to electricians! Five stars! read more

When my tenant called this morning saying she had no heat I knew it was going to be almost impossible to find an electrician to come over after one of the coldest weeks this year and the day before New Years Eve. What an easy experience - I was able to get an appointment very easily when I called. Michael offered to come out the next day on a Saturday, but because I had to be at work all day we made an appointment for Monday at 8. Michael asked for pictures (a burned out dryer plug and socket) and told me exactly what i needed to get from Home Depot. On Monday ,the electrician who came showed up on time and was very friendly and efficient. He also let us know how to prevent a similar situation from happening. Just had a great experience with this team. I called in the morning for help getting a smart thermostat installed (we needed additional power to run to the thermostat, since our old one was *ancient*), and they had two guys at my door an hour later. After another hour, the thermostat was installed and they'd checked to make sure that it worked. Five stars for speed of response, professionalism, and sticking with their quote. Mike and his partner James Holskey did an outstanding job for us. We had three lights which needed to be installed over the weekend. I texted them and they were the first to respond and agree to do the install the same day. It turned out that one of the lights was defective. He went through the process and checked all the lines to show me why it was defective. He then came back the next day when I received the new light from Amazon and installed the light at no charge. Mike was prompt and very nice, told me that my boiler was so clean it didn't need to be serviced and would not charge me for checking it out. He made some safety recommendations for carbon monoxide monitor placement, replaced our monitor for me and gave me a fair quote to complete some electrical work inside. His employees fixed and updated some outlets pretty fast. They were polite and the price was very fair. My family owns a restaurant that had an electrical fire and because of this electrician we are open today. Him and his crew worked day and night to do all our repairs and updates to get us open in the date he promised we would be open! He's honest and he's more than fair. I contacted Keohane Electric when to my surprise, during our first hot day this season my central air system was on the fritz. I left a message with Michael's office and he called me back within 20 minutes and was able to swing by that same day and repair my cooling system. We had the blower in our furnace quit on us the day before my wife was supposed to give birth to our first child.
