Been hearing about this place (Elsinore) location and ended up trying out the Menifee one, didn't realize it was a new location, hence the long wait + it was also taco Tuesday. I ordered the carne asada tacos which came out to $17. The amount of food you get is generous and it is flavorful. They're known for their birria, however I tried to get the carne asada thinking my wait wouldn't be as long (figured everyone was ordering birria) lol, but my wait was still 45 mins. Would love to come back and try out a few more menu items on hopefully a less crowded day. Few kinks I've noticed but they'll probably have those sorted out soon. read more

Had been craving birria so my family and I decided to make the drive from Temecula down to this place. When we arrived they only had one cashier open so it took us roughly about 20 minutes from the time we walked in just to order our food. Expect to pay more than your average taco spot as this place is pretty pricey. There's plenty of seating but staff doesn't keep up with clearing tables. We had to ask the staff if they could please clear up and clean our table, it still took a while for someone to kind of wipe it down. Our food came, portion to price is fair... Is the food that good that I'd pay over $100 again for it?!! NOPE!!! The consomé is good, pretty flavorful. The quesa-birria tacos come with plenty of meat however, the cheese wasn't completely melted. I figured the cheese would finish melting with the heat but it never did. The flavor of the birria is nothing special. Their option in salsas is very limited, they serve two different types of chipotle salsa which in my opinion doesn't blend well with birria, and some kind of green sauce that tastes nothing like salsa verde. The ramen is not worth the price, noodles were overcooked and the quality of their noodles is very poor. Horchata is ok but too sweet. I'd give this place a 3 star but service is pretty bad and the food is not worth the price nor the stress of dealing with poor service. read more

This place is a hidden gem in menifee. I always order the 32 oz. birria with 3 tortillas and a small "sauce" I can't wait to try the other items on the menu. The meat is so tender and it's packed with flavor. When you add the hot sauce, it hits just right. I highly recommend michi tacos to get your birria fix. Menifee location. Walked in and greeted right away! Melanie took our order and answered all of our questions with patience. Loved the decor and the cleanliness of this place. Was given chips and yummy salsa while we waited for our food. Our tacos came out pretty fast (15 mins) and they were so fresh and delicious. We didn't order any alcoholic beverages, but wow did they look yummy! Overall, we spent $42+$7 tip for the 3 of us. $16ish per person is a steal now a days with inflation! Although this place taste AMAZING there are a few things that should be worked on. The prices are kind of crazy here. And the customer service should be a little worked on. The location isn't tiny but also isn't huge and is most of the time badly crowded and tons of people are waiting insane amounts of time. We came to this place because my nephew, who wanted to have his birthday dinner here, bragged about how great the food n Micheladas are. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was exceptional. I had the Michi carnitas tacos and a tall beer (because the young girl, taking our order, did not specify). She was distracted by what was going on outside. Unfortunately, our service was absolutely terrible. It was 9 in our party, which 5 came early and ordered and the other 4 ordered separately. Our server (young, bleach blonde girl with glasses) was not having a good day and it showed. My husband's beer came with Chamoy and we didn't ask for that. She took it back and tried to pour the same beer in another cup causing it to overspill. She then tried to spoon something out of it and when she made eye contact with my daughter, she then poured a new cup of beer. When the other half of my party got there, they waited close to 35 min just to get their order and it was wrong. I had a view of the front counter and saw that the 'to-go' orders were handed to the wrong people. Needless to say, it was a mess! The ambiance would have been great except I could hear people commenting about their wrong orders and how the server was just not happy. What saved us was the oldest of the 2 young ladies, coming to our table and making sure we were good and was apologetic (in her demeanor). I was a server/bartender and a trainer for years and now own my business and work for the City. Customer service is key! If you have great food but the service is poor, most people will not return. There was lack of communication and above all, lack of great service (no smiles, no apologies and a lot of eye rolls happening). The food was outstanding and I will return for this reason. Hoping it was that the server was just having a bad day and the young girl in the front was helping out. I don't think she is ready to handle the crowd and the server needs good customer service training. read more

My husband and I shared the birria burrito. It was really tasty, the meat was good quality and had lots of flavor. The burrito was also very large and I am very glad that we shared. My only complaint is that is I asked for no onions and they still added onions. It's not a deal breaker, I will definitely be back, but it is still annoying because I hate raw onions. My husband also got the Al Pastor taco and I got the chicken taco. Both were very delicious and packed with meat. The homemade green and red salsas were also very tasty and the perfect amount of spiciness. This time we were pleased to find a table right away (it got packed real quick after we arrived) since it was our first time there we had some questions about the menu and the young lady taking our order was so friendly and helpful by breaking down what the tacos had in them, it made us ordering easy. My husband and I went there for dinner ( Friday night) the girl taking our order let us know it would be a 25 min wait as they were really busy . We said that was fine , ordered and found a seat which is limited. We ordered carnitas burrito, a shrimp taco, carnitas taco and a side of chorizo beans. The tortilla for the carnitas taco was so greasy, even after blotting it off you couldn't hold it, the meat inside was good . The shrimp was over cooked and did not taste good. My husband's burrito came wrapped and when he unwrapped it was wet and greasy and he couldn't even pick it up. The guy that brought our food was quick to drop it and leave, we had to ask two different times for either salsa or a fork. The girl who took our order was very nice and was working super hard.
