We have been to michis several times but only the location in elsinore. we actually live in menifee down the street from the new location but today was the first time we went to this one. My sister had a baby so the whole family was in town and we were starving from being at the hospital all day. we went in, ordered tacos, mulitas, tortas, ramen, fries, with birria, asada, etc. everything was delicious, the service was fantastic. Vivica helped us out the most, made she we enjoyed our food and had everything we needed at all times, and made sure to let us know about taco Tuesday, the delicious aguas and michiladas and welcomed us to order door dash if inside was too busy for us. in todays world you expect to have bad service pretty much everywhere. but here, the service was excellent thanks to vivica. wish we came in sooner and will definitely be back! thank you! read more

I've now been here two times and let me say, my first visit definitely wasn't a fluke! Best birria I've ever had and the service far exceeds expectations. All of the workers were very friendly and eager to answer questions. The young lady taking our order even gave us a sample of their pollo asado before we ordered! So far I've had the birria, carne asada, pollo asado, and Michi Dog. Every single thing is extremely good!!!! 25 minute wait on both of my visits and I see why. Food is coming out fresh and WELL WORTH the wait. This is my new, go to taco spot without a doubt! Seating can be a challenge, so don't assume you can eat inside. Placed an order on door dash pickup, waited an hour to pick up. Showed up and waited another 30 minutes for our order after they mentioned the order was almost ready, then she came over with the receipt and said she just got our order and asked if we wanted to wait another hour for our order. In the end if we would have waited it would have been a TOTAL of 3 hours since the time of ordering. Never again . Waist of my time !!!! Decided to give this spot a try on a Friday near dinner time. It was packed inside when I walked in, which was a hint that the food is good! As busy as they were, the cashier took her time to explain the menu and their most popular dishes--she was so patient, kind, and super helpful for me to narrow down my order. My order took about 30 minutes (for carry out), which seemed to be somewhat quicker than those dining in. The food is pricey, but for the portion size and meat quality, I would say it is quite reasonable! Not to mention, the flavor is amazing! Not super greasy nor heavy, but very flavorful. The ambiance is nice, I will likely try to dine in at some point. Overall, I am very satisfied with the food and service, and will definitely return! Went back last night. We were given a credit for our next return. You see our first visit we got dried up carnitas and Carne asada. Well we tried to give them a second chance. We spent 35 minutes trying to place our pick up order and use the code given for a discount. It kept coming up invalid. Urgh. Just Super. We were out running around so we went in. We explained and were given to the manager. We got our order in and the circumstances as they be was told ours would be expedited with the upmost speed. Haha ioke #1 We sat there and watched everyone before us get served. Ok. Got our food and asked for specific salsa upon ordering. We got the wrong salsa so that was fixed there. Also we asked for the avocado sauce. None. They made me pay for the side. Ok. I opened the container to get a quick glance they did not look dry like b4 so we proceeded home. Well I guess someone thought we wanted congested heart failure. The back of the house was obviously told to be "smart" .... Our tacos were inedible. Attached will be a picture of them swimming in oil. Excessive oil. Not a normal amount. All this crew is did by doing this is to encourage me to spread the word of how bad the service and product is. We gave the place another shot and ended up wasting our time. FYI I spent 32 years in the restaurant business and ran my own. Apparently I'm too old to enter because the music was SOOOOO LOUD. Nightclub atmosphere. Even the cashiers couldn't hear each other. Having to repeat themselves to the other employees. I asked the cashier if the music was always so loud and she said "yes, it was the way the owner wanted it" Several people sitting outside with the same comments. Food was ok. 3 cooks and 3 cashiers took 40 minutes to put together 2 Birria tacos and a side of beans on a Saturday afternoon. We LOVE Michi's in Lake Elsinore. This was our first time trying this location. The Micheladas are amazing!! And are the main reason they got 3 stars. The birria & tacos were ehh. We were very disappointed. This was nothing like what we had in Lake Elsinore. It's like they forgot all salt & seasoning when they made the meat/consommé. We brought all the kids, spent $150 and we were super sad it was not nearly as good as the original (which we had many times & brought lots of people to try)! read more

I went here on Sunday a little before 1:00 pm... I ordered 4 tacos to go. I was told the wait was 30 to 35 minutes. I waited outside, came back in 35 minutes later to pick up my order. I was told my order was not yet ready. Restaurant was full but not packed. After complaining an hour later I was offered a drink for my wait. If it wasn't the fact I had someone waiting at home and we were starving I would have canceled my order. My tacos finally arrived 1 hour and 10 minutes later. Holy crap this place is amazing!!! We've been here twice in the last week and have not been disappointed. My wife has had the torta and the birria tacos with the consome sauce and she loved both. I loved the consome sauce and the other half of her torta lol. I have had the tripas tacos both times, they are amazing and garnished better than any other place around. You'll have to try them to see what I'm talking about. The service is absolutely incredible. They all work as a team and always seem eager to help with anything. The atmosphere is enjoyable with the music playing. Do yourself a favor and try this place, I promise you won't be disappointed. We ordered our food at 8 pm and it was supposed to be ready at 9:15, and we didn't get our food until 9:45 PM and the food was COLD. Food is delicious but wasn't worth $82 for cold food and not good service. People who ordered after us were getting their food before us. Very nice place, some of the staff was friendly but the food wasn't all that great. We wait almost an hour which would've been fine if the food was amazing. We got the Michi tacos (carne asada and Al pastor), quesa birria taco, and a carnitas torta. They forgot some of the ingredients on my Michi tacos but it was so busy, I didn't want to bother them. We asked for salsa and all they had was chipotle sauce. The Al pastor didn't taste like Al pastor and the carne asada had no flavor. The tortillas were great but the meat, not so much. It's expensive ($4 for 1 Michi taco) and we were disappointed, not worth it at all. The carnitas torta tasted ok once we added the chipotle sauce. Won't be going back. This place does not disappoint. Tacos pretty big and sooooo yummy! Me and my friend got the Michi Tacos. I ordered 2 cabeza Michi Tacos. That's my go to! My friend ordered 2 Lengua Michi Tacos and Michi Fries! That was way too much food. We didn't eat the Michi Fries after the tacos. This place is cool! Music and interior decoration is nice.
