They gouge you with their prices. I had my breaks done pads and rotors . They charged me 1100.00. Ok they were due so I needed my spark plugs done and it would be around 400.00 for four plugs. That cost 13.00. Each. Then I thought to replace starter coils also just in case. At the auto parts store they range from 135. To 225. Just to use their labor it would range from 104.00 to 500.00 I will not recommend them ever again. I already sent them 10 people who also said the same. read more

He replaced them because they were not returnable parts but notified me that they were not bad and had a lot of life left in them. Only reason they get three stars is because the employee was very courteous and nice and they were quick. Went in for an oil change and OF COURSE my car had "other issues". He explained the issues which came out to $450+, and all of them seemed a little fishy to me. The customer who I was seated next to in the waiting room (oil change only as well) had his "issues" explained to him about 2 min before me and they tried to get over $800 out of him. He laughed, said he had his car serviced at the dealer 3 months prior, paid, and left. Smart man. Needless to say I had my car looked at, at a smaller shop and they said the "issues" were actually "non-issues". Long story short, Midas is a corporate company, so just expect that they are going to make a mountain out of any tiny mole hill issue that your car has. Any reputable shop will provide a fairly firm quote that includes machining the rotors, replacing the slide pines and installing high-quality pads and hardware. Shops don't need to see the vehicle to provide a price--a break job isn't brain surgery. If a shop balks at providing a phone quote, call a different one. Ha! My steering wheel has been shaking for at least six months; if I was actually counting it has probably been a lot longer. It should have been a priority however I'm an award winning procrastinator (gold medal all the way)! The BF worries for my safety and I've been putting off taking the car in for a while. I opted for Midas since I had a $20 oil change coupon and I figured I needed one of those as well. The coupon also included a tire rotation and visually checking my brakes and I really wanted a status on my brakes since I've punched holes through my rotors in the past and I don't want that expense again. After the full once over on my car a gentleman came and sat down to me in the lobby and explained everything I needed and why. Turns out I needed two new tires (one of them had two nails), full alignment, air filters, and a couple other major things. I didn't opt for all the services they recommended and was not pressured into doing them either. He communicated the major more time sensitive items and told me the things I could wait on which I appreciated. For what I had done the price was fair and the service was impeccable. I've been bringing my car to the Nissan dealership for years to get regular servicing. I was sick of driving so far to the closest Nissan dealership every time I needed something done. I was a little hesitant to go to Midas, but they were great. I called the day before I wanted to bring my Murano in, and they fit me in no problem. They also got the maintenance done the same day. They were so friendly and helpful that I brought my brother's car in to have them check out the a/c which wasn't working. Turns out that it was an expensive fix, and they suggested it might not be worth the cost of the repair considering the age of the car. These guys were fast, honest, and very helpful. They looked my car over and let me know what they found during the oil change. When I asked if anything was a problem, he said, "Nah, I mean you could try to get it into perfect shape, but what's the point? It's got 109,000 miles; you can't make it into a new car. So just keep an eye on everything and get regular oil changes and such." Other car places had suggested I fix every minor leak or issue (for a high price, of course). It was so refreshing to hear a car place tell it to me straight that not everything is equally worth fixing! They ran a diagnostic on one of my cars and said that they could try and fiddle with the transmission problem but advised me to go to a place that specialized in transmission repairs. The diagnostics cost about $110, but Rick was kind enough to waive the cost since they were not able to work on my car. I will definitely be taking my car here for future maintenance! WARNING!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! I took my '09 Ford Fusion in for replacement struts and shocks that needed to be replaced, there was a major rattling noise coming from the front of my car and that's what they diagnosed needed to be fixed in April of 2018. Spent $1700 to have all the work done. Picked up my car when it was done and the rattling noise it was making in the front was still there. Took it back to have them double check it, and they said now it had something to do with the sway bar. Another $100 worth of "work" after that and it was still making the same awful rattling noise. 6 months later I finally decide to take it to a certified Ford mechanic hoping it wasn't the same issue, and maybe something else that Midas missed. They explained to me that the front struts that had been recently replaced by Midaswere installed improperly and needed to be replaced AGAIN!!! Which is costing me another $900. This is not over. When the work is done from my Ford mechanic, I will be contacting corporate and getting a full refund for the shotty work they performed on my car. Totally unethical business and I will never go back. To be continued.
