Last year I replaced the front, rear brake pads and front rotors. Either they replaced the parts incompetently or the parts were cheap. The brake pads and the rotors worn away in a year and they said it needed to be replaced. The manager offered to replace the pads and rotors for free under warranty. But I declined . Didnt trust the place. I took it to another repair shop and the damage was even more extensive , the boots needed to be replaced also. Beware of this place! read more

I've gone to this location twice for an oil change. The first time: a few days after the oil change, I noticed oil leaking from under my car. Crawled under to see that the seal was not sealed properly. Called Midas, went in and they said the part they used was a bad batch, they did another oil change for free and corrected the issue. The second time: (yes many have asked why I went back after my first experience) another oil change. Service completed a few days later I notice a strange object on my passenger side floor. I take my car back to Midas to learn it's a part from my glovebox that was not put back. Interesting... nonetheless they put it back into its place free of charge. The estimate when I arrived was explained to me along with recommended services. This list wasn't inflated nor was anything pushed on me. As is the case with most car repair shops - you have to wait until you notice you are being misinformed or even completely frauded by the service! Despite the fact they may treat you nicely and be courteous, you may not be getting the service you need if you just trust them. I simple key is when you take you vehicle in as I did and had an oil change and a tire rotation. The shop indicated to carmax that they serviced the oil change and tightened the lug nuts! No mention of tire rotation! But the real kicker was they came back with a $2400 in needed service. Like some corrosion around the battery posts, recommend a new battery $325, Went to Autozone to check - battery is fine. Front Brakes are at 2mm or maybe 3mm. recommend change brakes and rotors BOTH front and back $1500 - Went to Big Brand and had brake check Front 6mm, back 7mm. Replace dirty cabin filter and dirty engine air filter - $40 - I doubt they checked the cabin filter as they have to open the glovebox in the car - the engine air filter was almost new! Brake fluid was a little low - the manager indicated they DO NOT TOP OFF - they only do complete service ? $90. Coolant/antifreeze system low $130 - Again they DO NOT TOP OFF only complete service. ON top of that they generally charge you twice the cost of parts that you can get at the local parts stores. If you blindly trust any repair shop this is what you can expect! When you get a horrendous list of things wrong with your vehicle, especially if you maintain it, it is in your interest to get a second opinion. Repair shops count on you to trust them and you may think they are doing right by you until you find that they are not! I believe you often times are told they are doing things they actually do not do. Have you ever had a brake job and been told 12 months later you need another? Chances are your breaks were ok before and they lied to you and did nothing. I personally had a TPMS tire pressure gauge go bad and bought all four at the part store at a considerable savings and had Midas install them. a month later I had another failure and again about another month later. I went to discount tire and paid $80 for each instance to get them replaced.... they were NEVER put in by Midas - only the one that had failed and they other three were verified by Discount Tire as being the original parts. I went to Midas and complained and obviously they KNEW they had defrauded me and gave me a credit for in store purchases of $280. I plan to use my credits on the simplest and most verifiable repairs like an oil change until my credits are gone and then I will be gone! BEWARE! read more

Went in for an oil change yesterday and woke up today with all of it in a puddle on my driveway. The fill cap was not replaced on the motor. Took photos and went to the shop to ask for a refund and was told I was lying and removed the cap myself. I would not damage an $8k engine for a $60 refund. They were just angry I would not agree to $2.5k+ maintenance work. Will not return. read more

I've stopped by twice to fix a minor issue on my car and both times I've been turned around with a short explanation as to why they are unable to fix the issue other shops do it in no time. If you come here, don't do it for the customer service, even though is a business, they just don't seem to get how customer service works. They get 3 stars review because perhaps they are actually competent and may be good mechanics. I don't know. So I found a amazing Groupon for an oil change with Midas. Normally I go to a different place. Yet honestly Midas had the only Groupon offer I was needing. Midas did not disappoint me on any level. From making the appointment over the phone with Daniel. To arriving early & "D" the front desk gentleman. Kindly explaining & showing me the schedule that they were full. I was would have to wait for my scheduled appointment. To getting my oil change super fast without any issues. To hearing the employees talk to each other with kindness & appreciation unto one another. This Midas location is a whole vibe. Mr Shane and "D" were the best. Customer service 10 stars. Asked for an oil change and was told if I didn't have an appointment it, it would be several hours until I could be seen because they were all booked up by appointments. Didn't sound truthful to me at all so I contacted two other Midas stores and they advised me that this guy is bs and bluffing me because he don't want to do it! It was so obvious. So this is an update of my Midas review. I returned to the shop for an oil change. If you read the previous review you might be wondering "why???". Well, after taking so long to replace my transmission and the nearly 3 month run around, the manager at the time promised me free oil changes for life. So I decided to cash one in. I also needed to have them look at my steering & suspension system because my local Mazda dealership said that it had been installed incorrectly when the transmission was replaced and since Midas had done the initial work, it should be covered under warranty. Anyway...I went back and at first they doubted that I was telling the truth about the free oil changes because no manager had the authority to offer that. I had to ask them to look at my service records and also told them the regional manager gave it the okay. Once that was sorted they agreed to honor the deal. I then spoke to the new manager (I was told that corporate had "cleaned house" and replaced nearly everyone because of various complaints and problems) about the steering issue. He asked me to give them an hour to do oil change and look at the steering and suspension. Roughly an hour later I returned. The shop manager took me into the bay where my car was on a lift. He then walked me through the entire steering and suspension system and went point by point, comparing what the Mazda dealership said I needed done and what he recommended. I spent about 20 minutes under that car and going over what he suggested repairing and what, in his opinion could wait. I was given a quote for the work (which was about half of what the dealership quoted). Then he said something no mechanic has ever told me: "look, all I can do is give you my best assessment. I agree with some of what Mazda told you, but I also think they're really nitpicking some other things. The car is old, it's got a ton of miles and how much money you want to spend on it is a personal decision. I've seen people drive cars in much worse shape for months so if you don't drive it too hard you could be ok for a while. You'll know if something starts to become a problem. If you want to trust us to do the work, we can do it. If you'd rather not I totally understand." This was a complete 180 from the previous manager and staff, who had given me a hard sell on everything from the transmission to the spark plugs to the ignition coils, saying they all needed to be replaced NOW or the car would fail. I can't say I'm going to have Midas do any more work on the car, but that's because I don't think I want to drop another $2800 into a car with 173k miles on it. But at least i have a better understanding of what my situation is. In fairness I have to give credit to Midas corporate for making the necessary staff changes. They seem to have a much better team there now (fingers crossed) which makes all the difference. read more

0 stars.. Don't be fooled by Daniel Mungaray. He is the store manager who goes by "dee", he is VERY unprofessional and has no customer service. He hounds people for 5-star rating in exchange for "deals".. My girlfriend and I went there to get oil changes for our cars using Groupon, back in November of last year, and he said my ball joints were bad and needed to be replaced. I figured with over 60k in my vehicle it was appropriate. I don't have much knowledge on vehicles, so I went with the recommendation of the mechanic. So Daniel says he's going to make us a deal to offset the amount we're going to pay, so he said he'll do a tune up on her car for free with the oil change. We thought cool, her car will get a tune up and oil change. Meanwhile, the job costed over 1600 with the oil change, replacement of ball joints and sway bar links plus labor... So we thought we were good, and about a week and a half ago started hearing a creaking noise so I brought it back to Midas, asked the man in the front if he can assess my vehicle because I just wanted to make sure that everything was okay for our safety. The weather wasn't the greatest that day, and Daniel approached us kept insisting I leave my vehicle there so he can check it when it's not raining. He kept saying do if we understood the logic.. I told him that he's asking me to leave the only vehicle I have so he can check it when it's not raining.. as if he knew for sure that it would be dry the following day.. so make that make sense.. So Daniel test drives it, and I told him i hear it when it's at a slow speed, and tell me why this guy drives it in the back alley like a madman with the radio on.. I'm no mechanic but if you're trying to hear something, you'd want to make sure you isolate all other sounds right? So of course the sound wasn't heard, but instead he says it's my rotors which I've changed last year. I asked him if he can check it, and he says there's nothing wrong with it. So, went to get it checked at tirechoice because after the encounter with Daniel that day made me question his credibility.. Tirechoice test drove it and lifted the car up to check, and showed us that the right upper ball joint is torn, and to go back to Midas to get it changed because it's still under warranty. It's frustrating because from what was explained that if debris were were get into the ball joint, the car could collapse. My thing is that Daniel didn't properly assess the vehicle when I brought it to him initially; and claimed it was something else making the noise. It was as if he didn't care about the possibility of the consequences. I went back to Midas, being as frustrated as I was to keep dealing with this clown with no solution. I've never been to an establishment where the manager says to his mechanic "they don't know mechanics", and repeatedly asks if this is our profession. Well sir, if it was we wouldn't be here dealing with you.. and it's your job to explain things. He also says don't come back, as if we would after all that.. it was a nightmare.. Went to another Midas location, and it just so happened that corporate was there. Explained the situation and stated that I refuse to deal with Daniel Mungaray.. I was told they saw that the R upper ball joint was torn but couldn't figure out the sound, so they replaced all ball joints. This could have been an easy solution if Daniel did what he was supposed to do to figure out the problem, instead of running his mouth. This situation could have been handled better.. Midas should definitely have in-services for their employees at this location, especially Daniel. As a store manager, such a disappointment. read more

Every time I call they are rude and short with me and never have an opening for and oil change. I had a Groupon I was trying to use and it seems like since I disclosed that info upfront they didn't want to do it apparently so they had no opening and unfortunately I didn't realize it was for this location and only can be used at this location so since there were never any openings for oil changes my Groupon expired.
