Where to begin on this nightmare...I took my car in for an oil change to this Midas on 1/4/24 after purchasing a Groupon. While paying I was immediately hit with hidden charges, my car (any car that was brought in) exceptionally needed one more quart of oil than was included - no big deal, take your $11. While going through this process the girl at the front desk had her phone on the counter where the photo was herself in not regular bdsm lingerie but more risqué, even for the genre. Whatever floats your boat but not professional to have out at work. Next, I get asked if I want my tires rotated. I say sure but please make sure the lug nuts are put on properly because I've previously had shops put them on loosely. Another upsell- NBD. I then go take a seat in the waiting room which has a door to the shop. A bunch of the workers are huddled on the other side of the door inside the shop talking loudly so that the conversation can well be heard inside the client waiting area where we get to listen to graphic conversations about "f******* women," "titties out and bouncing around" and those are the tamest portion. These conversations went on for a good 15 minutes and for good measure they BEGAN SMOKING CIGARETTES INSIDE THE SHOP (hello flammable material and a series of public health law violations). I record most of this, including video of the cigarette smoke, which permeated the client waiting area. I get my car and see the lug nuts have been tightened so hard, they're stripped. Great. I find their corporate number and give them a call. I then continue to follow up and manage to speak to someone at the main office who says they had forwarded it to the branch manager who said I was never there. I call the shop and get my service number and then ask the manager Mark why he lied and moreover why he allowed that behavior as he was walking in and out and saw everything. I then call corporate and give them my service number. I don't hear back for ages and follow up and am told they passed my information to the shop to allow the district manager to try and solve the issue. They claim he had been calling me but couldn't reach me. This was a bald faced lie as I had no 702 missed calls nor voicemails and the rep at corporate was able to reach me just fine and leave messages. I let the rep at corporate know that this is dishonest and I have little faith that the district manager can help as all this happened under his watch... I never hear anything from the district manager and call corporate again, and then I immediately get a call back for corporate letting me know that the district manager (jimmy) has been trying to reach me but I never answer or call him back, simultaneously I receive a call from a 702 number and I call back. A person named Chad answers and let's me know that he's the manager of the shop Jimmy is visiting that day and asks me to call Jimmy back in 15- sure, I have no life apparently :$. In our conversation about the issue, Chad begins being condescending and is really dying to take an immature dig and ends the conversation with "ok darlin!". I let Chad know I am probably older than him and a doctor and as far I know, we have no familial or romantic relationship for him, a younger man, to call me "darlin" and it's 2024 Chad... I call back and get to speak with Jimmy, ask him why he has never called me and why he didn't bother to leave a voicemail this time as people are unlikely to return calls to unknown numbers. He lies and says he doesn't know why he didn't leave a voicemail. I explain the situation to him and he tells me To bring the car in to inspect the lugnuts. I tell him NOPE for a number of reasons: ive already provided a repair estimate from my dealership shop, I live between states and will not be back until May and I have no trust in anyone that works in any Midas shop. He says he's going to speak with the owner and see what he can do. I don't hear anything back so I follow up with corporate. Then on 2/4 I receive this unprofessional email from Jimmy: "Thanks for your email. Was informed must come back to a location so we can asses the luh nuts. We will replace no problem if needed. Thanks jimmy." Spelling errors and all... I respond to Jimmy letting him know we've discussed this and it's impossible because I'm living out of state for a few months and I wouldn't take my car in there ever again. No response back and so I contacted corporate again today and am notified that the owner is "refusing to take responsibility of the situation and so corporate is looking for a way to resolve the issue." To the owner- what a sleaze bag you are. No wonder your shops are like this and your DM is a mess, it starts from the top and trickles down. You might not want to take responsibility, but I have recordings of the graphic convos in your shop and photos of cigarette smoking that I will be sending to OSHA and public health and safety, I'm sure they'll have you take responsibility. read more

I recently took a new (to us) car into the business to get new headlights and I mentioned it was driving strangely. They test drove it, then put it up on the rack. This began an odyssey that lasted nearly a month. The breaks were bad, the suspension was completely rusted and shot, and on and on. Dee sent me many pictures and invited me in to show me what they were dealing with. Justin spent many hours scaling rust and breaking loose bolts in order to make this car safe to drive. It was a pricey repair, but these guys did their utmost to keep the costs under control, for which I am grateful. They even fixed the power steering issue and only charged me for parts. Unfortunately, this review is disappointedly negative. I scheduled my truck for an routine oil change. I dropped off my vehicle and went to work. I received a call from the manager. The manager stated I had two options. Change the oil pan or put a one-time plug inserted into the pan because the threads on the existing oil pan plug were stripped. Likely due to cross-threading or overtightening. The manager also stated a oil pan plug thread repair was not an option because the vehicle's oil pan is aluminum. Which in fact is incorrect. The oil pan is steel. The technicians and manager did not attempt or were not capable to repair the issue. Whether the oil pan is aluminum or steal, repair kits are available to solve the problem. I stated to hold off on any further action until I get off work. Once I made it to the shop the technicians had already installed a 'one-time' plug which rendered the oil pan worthless as soon as I get the oil changed on the truck again. A new oil pan is approximately $800. Due to the technician's inability to repair the threads stripped oil plug. The oil pan will most likely need to be replaced. I've tried countless times to contact Consumer Relations. I've stopped calling because I now know I will NOT get a response. The team members that answer the phone report that a representative should contact me in three days to discuss the issue. I have not been contacted. No voicemail or email has been sent to me. Midas does not care. From a leadership in customer relations standpoint, the corporate offices should be ashamed of themselves. District and Regional Management's only concern is profit. As most companies are. Customer Service does not live here. Professional integrity does not live here. Yelp was the only recourse. Beware. Midas might have techs that really know what they're doing, but a majority of them are just guys with no formal training who have minimal knowledge of auto mechanics. Thank you. read more

The service was done quickly but they triggered my service light saying it was an air conditioner telling me I had a leak they wanted to charge me $75 for a diagnostic test and another $275 to fix it. I had it checked by an independent mechanic and they found nothing wrong. read more

BUYER BEWARE !!! Went in with my Groupon purchase for oil change & what a fiasco it turned into when my oil change was completed. The usual Bull Shit us single chicks go through our whole lives. First let me begin with the fact that I picked this nightmare place from their great reviews off of Groupon. It said they were honest, did a great job, & DIDN'T TRY To UPSELL U. They tried to rob me thinking I was stupid saying I needed over $$2,000.00 Worth of things that were life threatening & needed to be fixed ASAP!!!. They proceeded to shove their 0 percent credit card down my throat for 6 months of payments thinking I once again I was stupid. They then tried to put the fear of God in me to get on board. I had them write it all up going along with their bullshit just to tell them I had a great mechanic I trust. & will show all this to him . They proceeded to insult my mechanic for letting me drive a dangerous car. Midas employee was not happy as I left. Took my hybrid to my mechanic who services ONLY HYBRIDS & he checked it out thoroughly only to tell me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car and to come back after 6000 miles and get my spark plugs only. Thank God for honest mechanics in all this corruption. DO NOT BE ROBBED FROM MIDAS for your hard earned $$$. What really stands out about this place is the service and people. I came in with mom for an oil change and left feeling well taken care of. They found things that needed to be done and took me to the car to explain what and why. Granted, they want the business and are available to do the work but charge a bit more than other places I found. They offer free soda, water and snacks while you wait. Also, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the whole place as it is a working garage. If you have a coupon and a little time for your oil change it is worth the time and they will treat you right. read more

I bought a Groupon to use there. First time I went, I was told to come around 10 am, but one tech called in sick and there was a 2 hour wait. I made a reservation for 2 days later. Drove back on Wed and then the manager REFUSED to honor the groupon saying that my 2013 Scion would ONLY accept Full Synthetic oil and then refused to honor my Synthetic Blend groupon. Wanted me to pay for the $48 for Full Synthetic. I told him that Toyota said my car would take regular oil, synthetic blend or full synthetic and he still refused to do the oil change. I've been coming to this location since 1994. I had some work on my X5 and it was a nightmare. Originally I was dealing with a manager named D who was later fired . They literally had my car for over 90 days and I had to keep bringing the car back because of a bad mechanic whom also was fired being extremely inconvenienced. I was told at the end of all this that I was granted two oil changes in the future for my inconvenience plus I had work done on my other car. The new manager said he would honor at least one oil change but needed approval from his owner. I didn't have my oil changed that day but came back today and was met with hostility and unprofessional behavior where at one point the manager Daniel raised his hand as if he was about to strike me. I said I was going to complain and his exact words were I am not important to the company and no one would be calling me back. I have spent thousands of dollars at this business and I am appalled that this is how paying customers are treated. My name and details were taken and was pleased to hear I could be scheduled within an hour. Arriving on time and entering the check in office, which was manned by a middle aged employee on the phone with a customer. my presence wasn't acknowledged. it's a small office, Suggestion: acknowledge the customer with a look / smile. The phone conversation ended, the empkoyee let out a small sigh and not quite an eye roll but close. I waited to be acknowledged or greeted for perhaps 30 seconds , Nothing. I said "Happy Saturday" still nothing. I'm bout 4 feet away . This is getting awkward. Keeping a friendly tone, I explained I had a Groupon and had called about an hour ago and offered my name. #We don't have you booked in , you are not in the system and we are slammed today" I said well let me just check my phone and make sure I'm at the correct location. Yep, at the right place. I was delivered a blank look, with no offer of further assistance. This is when I forced the hand, I said how can this be . I called in gave my information , I spent a few minutes on the phone earlier. Mistakes are totally ok , Life happens. I get it. but don't come at the customer that way. Easy response here, Sir I don't see you in the system however it's a busy day and if you wouldn't mind waiting for just minute I'll go check on with who took your call. No it didn't go that way The employee puts his hands up and says RELAX, 3 times he says this, with a condescending look he says we may have just made a mistake . just relax he says again Your the one that appears to look like they need to relax I stupidly replied. Oh yeah he says in an extremely combative manner. Now this thing is starting to escalate. He went into the work bays. presumably to check. I came in with a flat tire, and the woman at the front desk was super sweet and quick with everything- much appreciated. They took me right away, gave me a new tire and it didn't cost much either which was great. I'm very wary of any car maintenance places, so I watched them through the window the whole time- a good habit I recommend everyone to pick up. Educate yourself on basic car maintenance so you can identify fishy business. Anyways, had no problems, they switched the tire for a new one and checked the pressure in the rest. If I could give zero stars I would. Long story short I dropped my car off for what should have been a one day job. It took them 3 days. I got way over charged after getting a cheaper quote. Even with all that time they completely botched it and I had to return the car TWO more times for them to fix their mess. Judy, who I believe is some sort of district manager gave us a little compensation by giving us 3 free oil change vouchers which I will be using at a different location. Joe, the store manager offered NO apologies and frankly seemed like he didn't give a damn. Maybe customer service isn't a good industry for him. Warning!!!! I did not recieve the "Midas Touch" !! I took my car here in February last year with a check engine problem and after two and half months full of back and forth bullshit. I drove a away with the same problem 2500.00 bill for a junk yard transmission. Daniel the manager was a joke. I had to call and check on my vehicle because they would keep it overnight or days at a time but wouldnt communicate. Lost one of my delivery jobs because of this. They remove my oil pan and replaced it w another because of a leak. 3 months later and after the warranty another leak (went back again for convenience to be fixed still had to pay the same amount). Went to another auto body shop and they mentioned that my oil pan still had leaks. My rant is even w minor repairs and oil changes do not go to this location. I was told it would be about 45 minutes and my car was finished in under 30 minutes. They sell snacks and stuff now AND there's a big sign on the wall about getting a discounted oil change (regular or synthetic) if you check in on Yelp or Google and write a review! So the other day my car was having a terrible misfire and a few other shops would take me at all. But then I got to midas and the assistant manger(Dan) heard all the crap I went through and squeezed me into his schedule. And if that wasn't enough once they got my car pulled in the store manager (Danny) immediately started working on my car and got it figured out. I went back a month later to get them to remove the pop up message from my vehicle stating I need an oil change & the same stain that was there on the glass door had not been cleaned! I went to Midas on Monday the 19th of September about 5:27p on Oakey and Rainbow, I scheduled an appointment on line to have my oil changed a few days prior, had been going to this location for about 1 year and half, there was a new manager there, was NOT accommodating, he stated to me that there was no appointment booked for me and he also asked me about a Groupon? I don't use Groupon to get my oil changes, so then he processed to tell me that he didn't have time do my oil change that day, and rescheduled me for Saturday 24th of September, so then I asked if someone could change my cabin filter in my car that I purchased, he had one of the workers change it for me, Asked me to tip him, very unacceptable !! You don't ask your customers to tip the workers, being a mechanic is not a tip job of I feel a worker deserves a tip , no matter what they do for a leaving, that is my decision, not to be solicited for Money !!!!!
