I had an appointment for an oil change and it took them more than 30 minutes after my appt time to get my car and my car would be ready an hour after... I was nursing my 5 month old baby during this time bc I was told it would only take an hour to do the work but they failed to mention it may take up to an hour before they actually begin work on your vehicle! Worst service ever!! I go in for a simple non-scheduled oil change, which they said wouldn't be a problem. Just a couple hours wait. Then they find something wrong with my car (minor problem) that they want to fix. When i say "no its fine i'll handle it later, I'd just like an oil change" they then say, "sorry we cant change your oil today." I would have waited several hours for the oil change but that wasn't possible if I didn't let them fix my whole car. read more

Ripping off hard working people trying to scam them out of loads of cash for repairs not needed and purposely ignoring the real issue at hand. Terrible customer service. I made an appt. was told it would take 30 minutes to inspect my brakes, over an hour later and numerous requests and I finally got the estimate. Declined the service as I didn't have all day to wait on them. I would have expected faster service when you have an appt and if they say 30 minutes, I would expect at least 30 minutes. They took in a car that came in after me and worked on it, obviously someone he knew. They put my car up on lift and it sat there for over 45 minutes before anyone even looked at it. So if your cars up on the lift, don't assume it's being worked on. Never going back to them and may never go back to any Midas!! read more

I took my car in on a Friday morning in March to Midas in Norwalk, CA for an oil change and to replace a sensor on a brake light. This location provides good service. Went in 30 minutes to closing while they had a couple cars up. Explained how my weld broke on the exhaust pre cat( running straight pipe) and the fact I commute 90 miles one way to work , they got my car up and fixed within 20 minutes . No stars. I went to this Midas for oil change and brakes previously last June 2017. I returned in December for oil change, sensor replacement, spark plugs. , and head gasket replacement. Almost $900 bucks. When I was washing my car 2 days later I saw 3 screws on windshield wipers area. I opened the hood and saw the plastic top cover was missing on the motor. I called them but they lost the fourth screw so they improvised replacement screw does the trick. But I been noticing knocks and pinging. I checked oil today Jan 28. Bone F'ing dry. Unbelievable. I dared not start the engine. I walked to nearest auto parts store. Bought some mobile 1 oil. 5 quarts. Added it. Checked. It looked filthy in dipstick . No replacement oil filter. You suck Midas. You robbed me. I will never do business with you or recommend at all. Beware people. I wish I had seen the other bad reviews first. They are here for a reason read more

Love my Local Midas store on Rosecrans and Pioneer! My last visit was Sat June 12th. Rueben and his staff are very professional and Benjamin always know what I need when I walk through the door. Las time I went to Jiffy Lube cause I had a coupon, but was it worth it, Not even close! I told Benjamin I didn't have a coupon and guess what, I got a discount anyways. I love that my guys know me by first name and take the time to explain everything going on. They even knew where my wheel lock was when I had no clue where it was, they know me! I am loving Midas Norwalk. I got a flat on the 60 freeway Saturday "scary". I was not close but when I called them they said bring it in when I was back in town. I got the road hazard limited warranty about a year ago. I came in this afternoon and my tire is being replaced. No hassle. Awesome customer service! I was a Jiffy Lube customer for years solely for oil changes. One day my check engine light came on and I noticed that Midas advertised Total Car Care so I took my car in to get serviced and I received the best customer service; they were willing to work with my limited budget and offered me great discounts and I was even approved for a Midas credit card with no interest for six months! In December of 2013 I had work done and I paid it off in six months so I took my car in again today to continue the needed repairs and I was happy to be informed that I will have another six months of no interest plus the manager gave me a certificate for a free oil change. HONEST AND PROFESSIONAL PLACE TO DO BUSINESS. I was so FORTUNATE Triple AAA told me to try Midas Auto Service in Norwalk. I turned in to a driveway too soon and hit a curb. I popped my tire, bent my rim and ruined my hub cab. Instead of the business trying to sell me a brand new rim, have me order a brand new hub cap from the dealer.... these guys gave me the best advise that fit my situation. Not only did they squeeze my car in right away on an ugly, rainy, Friday night, their price was reasonable and they saved me a lot of money. They recommended a refurbished rim and also gave me the name/ address of a place who sells used hubcaps. Saved me over $100.00. It's not often you come across "Mechanics of all things" who have your best interest at heart........as well as being honest, reasonable and professional. Give them a shot. I've been to this Midas before for service. And if I ever go to a different Midas I have called this location to inquire about what service was done previously so that I can inform the Midas that I'm having the service done. Being in not around the area I called the Midas in Norwalk because I know I had a service done here previously that the Midas in Monrovia said I had not done. I called 30 mins before to get that information. I must have called at least 7 times before anyone answered. When finally I got an answer I ask the gentleman over the phone if he can pull up the last service I had done there and he straight out told me no because they were about to close at 4! It was 3:30!! And he wouldn't help me! I explained that I was at the Monrovia location and they needed some information about my previous service there and he kept telling me "um no, call back Monday we are closing now and I don't want to pull it up now". I'm so baffled by the service over the phone. They have looked it up before and it only takes a few minutes, it was a quick question but because they were about to closed in half an hour and I wasn't there getting he service done he told me no. read more

I went in to get a price estimate on new front break pads and axels I needed. I was shopping around, so I got a few estimates from diff shops. Ruben the manager helped me out and even offered to match the price . Also offered me lifetime warranty on the parts that will be installed. He offered me a great price and exceptional customer service in more ways then one. That's when I knew I had finally found the right place and could stop shopping around. Ruben was an honest mechanic who showed me he truly cares for his customers, as he worked with my personal financial situation. They repaired my car in just 4hrs and even offered me drop off and pick up service to my home. I went in for a simple fluid change on my transmission. Yes I have a 99 rodeo and these are enclosed transmissions, not very common from what I read online. But they took almost 3 hours in changing the fluid/rotating my tires. to make a long story shot it felt like I was there all day and they did a terrible job. My transmission now leeks fluid from the drain plug. I went to check my fluid a few days ago since it leaks, and they over filled it! Not a place I would recommend to anyone. The best service in town, I shopped around and have been to many places for tune ups and this place was the best. They opened promptly, Benjamin who worked behind the desk was extremely helpful and listened to all of my concerns. He offered me a seat so I could watch the mechanic as he worked on my car, that right there was a plus for me. The mechanic did not leave my car and go talk to others, he paid full attention to it, even showing me the dirty air filters and old spark plugs he took out. Benjamin made coffee and when Ruben the other worker arrived he bought donuts for all of us waiting in the lobby, Ruben price matched what the quote I received from another store. The thing about writing a review is that you have to have true facts. Reviews help everyone, if people do not complain nothing changes and it gets worse. I will learn to do my own car repairs and will not support local businesses anymore. All this businesses do not take pride in their work anymore. Seems they are out to get you. Squeeze as much money from you now that they can because you might not be back after they rip you off. I will not EVER bring my car to MIDAS anymore, they oversold me on the brakes with their scare tactics, you might get into an accident if you don't fix your brakes. Replaced my cat and sensors and the car still did not pass smog and they knew nothing about making it pass, all they wanted was to charge $1800 for parts and labor. These guys are scammers. Period. I went here for my oil change, which is where I usually go, and of course I'm being told I need new tires, new air filter, new brakes, new every damn thing basically. So, I'm told I need new tires because one of them has 3 nails in it. How does that constitute needing 4 new tires? Seriously? The tread was fine on all of them. My air filter was damn near spotless - it was still white, not to mention I just had a new one installed less than 3 months prior. I did need new brakes on the front, so I got those and the oil change. I then proceeded to go to a local tire guy and had him look at my tires, specifically the one they said had 3 nails in it. The guy finds ONE nail. Not two, not three, JUST ONE. Because of where the nail was located, he had to replace my tire instead of just patching the hole. I paid $15 for the replacement tire. Midas wanted to charge me $400+ to replace all 4 tires. This last visit in March is the absolute last time I will come here. My husband needed his rack & pinion fixed on his truck and took it there (why he didn't go to our mechanic is beyond me). They "fixed" it but ended up causing more problems. The truck wouldn't even start the next day, it was leaking, and it was making all kind of noises when he finally got it to start. He took it back to the shop, they fixed it, but damn, why did this have to happen in the first place? Get it right the first time! Ugh, yeah, I for one refuse to come back to these thieves. The manager who I directly dealt with was nice and friendly, but everything else was not to my liking. Firstoff, when they pulled my car into their garage for the free inspection, they revved my car really loud and played around with it like it was some kind of toy while I was sitting RIGHT THERE (I have a "modded" aka fixed-up car and I guess they wanted to hear how it sounded). Stay away! This place might seem decent at first, but trust me, first impressions aren't always right. Go in for a simple oil change, and walk out $200 (or more!) poorer. Seems they always find something wrong with your car, and often times, it's something major. Get new brakes (and I mean completely new....drums, pads, the works), and less than 6 months later, you need new pads and rotors resurfaced again? Could it be defective parts? Of course not, that's absolutely not possible, at least according to the manager, Ruben. And to top it off, both of my cars' A/C systems were working fine.
