My wife purchased her vehicle from Midway in May. It started overheating Thursday July 30th. I brought it to the Service department around 1pm on Thurs. Drove up, watched a number of employees walk by, make eye contact, but no one approached my vehicle. Never had a dealership not come to me when I drove up before so that was a bit odd. I stepped out of my vehicle and waited, still nothing. It was about 10 mins before Victor Morales asked me if I had been helped. I advised him that the car was overheating. I also said that the right front headlight was out. I watched him make notes for both. He took only my number down and asked if we got the extended warranty; I advised him that we had. He took my keys and told me he would call me when he had an update. He didn't ask me if I needed a ride or if I needed anything else;he actually seemed a little rushed or annoyed that he had to help me. It was hot that day, and there were a couple of cars in front of me. I didn't have an appointment. I gave the benefit of the doubt. Didn't hear back Thursday. With nothing by 11am Friday, we called to try to get an update. He wasn't available do to being with a customer. Was told he would call us back in a half hour. After an hour passed, we call back. Victor says they have been busy and that he will have them check soon- he will call in a half hour. 45 mins pass, wife calls due to no response; Victor said the water pump had a leak and that he had to check to make sure the warranty would cover. He said that he would call us in a half hour for an update... After an hour, I call to check what they had to say, Victor said that he was still waiting to check on the warranty, he would give my wife a call in a half hour... I told him he told my wife that an hour ago, he got flustered and said that they have been busy but he would contact us soon. About 40 mins later he informed us that warranty would cover it but may not be able to get done until Sat, possibly even Monday. He said that he would let us know. We called several times on Saturday to check if our vehicle is ready. It took several attempts to get in touch before Victor berated my wife saying he already told her it would be done Monday. He had told her maybe Saturday, Monday at the latest. This is our family car and we wanted it back, especially going into a weekend. It was frustrating that we felt like a burden to want to know about our car. Monday rolls around. I work full time and won't be off until 430, so I know I won't be able to pick the car up until after work. We heard no status from Victor. At nearly 3pm, I called to find out status. Receptionist said that Victor was unavailable but it looks like all repairs had been completed at 1215. I had forgotten to ask about the right front headlight, so I asked my wife to call back to confirm since I had to go back to work. Victor said that they hadn't checked the light, and he would have to check to see if the light was covered by the warranty, saying that it could be more than the bulb, it could be electrical. She told him to forget about it because we just wanted our vehicle back. To sum up our problems: This is our family vehicle and Victor made it feel like a problem that we were checking on status of our vehicle. This is one our most prized possessions, our family car that fits our kids, and essentially we went a whole 4-day weekend without it enduring painfully frustrating communication with a DEALERSHIP that has our vehicle. And then to blatantly ignore a request for the right front headlight; I understand that the vehicle overheating is the priority problem but changing a freaking lightbulb is too hard of a request over the course of 3 business days? This is by far the worst service we have ever experienced from a dealership. The general lack of professionalism and customer service was gravely disappointing and frankly a disgrace to the Chevy brand. Victor (if not all) the reps should get a refresher course on customer service, communication and time management to make sure that the customer are informed about their vehicle when it's at a dealer. read more

Drove from San Diego to buy a Chevrolet Colorado Bison ZR2 after talking with the salesperson and agreeing on a price. When I arrived the sales team told me that the price I agreed to with the sales person wasn't the actual price of the truck. The dealer installed a spray in bed liner and many other accessories that jacked up the price more than 5K. Also the listed mileage in the ad of this supposedly new truck was 12 miles but when I test drove the truck it had 187 miles. Midway Chevrolet did not honor the agreed upon price with the salesperson nor could they explain the mileage difference from their website. Nearly two hours to get an oil change. I recvd. the completion email quite a bit ago. Service line guy just called me to do an up sale on a bunch of service items. I told him we've been sitting waiting for about two hours for a simple oil change. He says "you've been here two hours?!" He looks at his paperwork and boom, yep two hours. I should have your keys in 10 more min. Annoying to have to wait and then have salesman approach you asking if you want to get a new car. If I wanted a new car, do you think I'd sit here for an oil change for two hours? NO!! Time to figure out where the hold up is in your system. Almost as bad as sitting waiting to buy a car. Our experience checked the box of every stereo typical car buying experience. We were looking for a used car. Went on the Thursday before Presidents Day to take advantage of "Cash for Junkers" ("get a minimum of $4500 for your trade") we are the original owner of an older large SUV the met all of the qualifications mentioned on the radio as, even the dipped talking at the end. I shared what our budget was and we walked the lot looking at cars that appeared to be far out of budget but was assured not to worry about that. We found a couple cars that we liked so the sales manager got involved. He came back with a price that was 400% over budget and included a trade value of $3750. He said we did not qualify for cash for junkers because there was an accident on the car fax from 8 years ago. It was ironic that an incentive called cash for junkers did not accept cars that had been in accidents?!?! We left. The next Sunday I saw another used car on their website that was priced lower than the cars we were looking at so we made a mistake of going back on Presidents' Day. This time our trade was worth $3000 so evidently driving 50 miles caused $750 worth of depreciation?!?! The good news is that as they were preparing their ridiculous offer we found the same car down the road with a "no haggle price" so we laughed at Midways offer and left. The next day I got a call from Midway new car sale manager asking if I was still looking for a car. I told him we found one and that our experience at Midway was awful. I mentioned how much we were offered for the trade and that it dropped by $750 over three days. He was surprised and said that they were having cash for junkers and the minimum trade was $4500. I took my car to another chevy dealer when my check engine light went on but they did not do anything with it and told us to pick it up. I was driving my car and it died in an intersection so on-star had my trax towed to Midway Chevy. Bea was amazing! She listened to my concerns and looked at the picture I sent of my dashboard when it died so the tech could get an idea of what happened. She made sure I was put into a loaner car after they diagnosed my car and did not have the part in stock. My car was there for a few days but Bea told me they needed to test drive it to ensure I am not stranded again and the issue was fixed. She was always communicating with me throughout the ordeal and I love the loaner car lady she was amazing too! Such a sweet lady. In January, my husband and I took our 2007 Avalanche into Midway Chevy's service dept to be repaired. They returned the truck with a 10 inch crack in the dash. It took me 3 weeks of calling into them to even get the part ordered. Service advisor wouldn't call us back to order the dash to repair what they had broken. Come February we had to walk in to speak with Dragan the service supervisor, and explain the situation, in order to even get the dash ordered to be installed. The part comes in and once again, we don't get a call back from Midway to get the truck brought back in to have the dash fixed. After several months, the dash is finally replaced as of April 29. However, we had fully functioning audio in our vehicle when we gave it to them to be fixed. Once again, we received our vehicle back with an a additional problem caused by a tech. Audio is completely disabled in our truck at this time. I don't even have my door chime or turn signal sounds. The only people who had touched my truck was Midway's techs. It's been 14 days now, and my husband has even called the director of the service department and gotten no response back. Still no audio, and we have resorted to using a Bluetooth speaker to get by. Insult to injury - the dash they installed in my truck is GRAY and my interior is obviously BLACK ON BLACK. I keep getting sales calls inquiring if I am still 'happy with my truck' from dealerships but cannot get one to return a call to fix their mistakes. At this time, the situation over the past 5 months has caused my family a lot of stress and hardship. Went online and filled out the contract form for a specific vehicle. Received a call within five minutes! I told the caller about my situation and budget and requested a price on the model he had. He asked what my credit score was and I told him 820+. He said they are seeing rates around 6-8%. He said we could probably work something out. I told him if he can't I understand and will move on. A day later I get a text from someone else! He said he was working with my caller. He asked for my credit score and I told him I already gave it to your partner but here it is. He says "why don't you come in so I can see if I can sell you something more expensive ". Wait.....xxx?! The next day he sends me the offer sheet via text. The offer was on a DIFFERENT, more expensive vehicle!. I told him I couldn't go more than 60 months. He quotes 72 months at 11.99 apr!!!! Who pays 11.99 % with an 820+ credit score?!?! Not to mention paying full price and FORCED to buy their $2599.00 "protection package"!!! I told him up front that all I wanted was tinted windows and would NOT be interested in anything else. Did I mention the $599.00 doc fee?! Those are common, but this is at the high end. Plus they're still keeping the hold-back on the vehicle. As a former service advisor for a REPUTABLE Chevy dealership I could see what was going on here. I would rather he said we can't do a deal (being honest) instead of insulting me and trying to railroad me. What a bunch of a$$ clowns. When you look at their other reviews you can see why. After his "text" he never even followed up with me. ZERO business and people skills. It's obvious that he quoted this way as he was not interested in doing business with me. Ever since I purchased a car here in 2018, this dealership has seemingly gone downhill. Despite the whole "bank approval" aspect of it being a bit dubious, the car buying experience wasn't terrible. And I remember the first time I brought my used car in for service-- everything was covered under warranty. The service department did a thorough job, checked everything, and changed all my fluids and even remembered to fill my windshield wiper fluid. I was impressed. After this, it seems like the dealership's culture must have changed. The second time that I came in for service (6 months later), I was told that the transmission fluid needed to be changed again. When I asked, "wasn't that done 6 months ago?" They offered to do it "again" at no charge. "Mistakes happen, fine", I thought. Fast forward to my warranty expiring-- all the fluids suddenly needed replacing, EVERY part and service was "recommended maintenance". So, did you guys sell me a lemon? I've had this car for under 2 years and I've used you guys exclusively for maintenance (except for an emergency tire replacement after work). About that tire... ...I had it replaced around 6 months ago. My diagnostic report said that this tire was "too old" and needed to be replaced. Did the mechanics not notice that it was a different brand? If one of you guys reads this, please try harder to do right by your customers. Don't allow Midway to inch closer to becoming like Courtesy. It's been extremely disheartening to watch that happen over the past 2 years, and it's getting harder for me to want to return for service or my next car. [Note to the service department: most people haven't put much mileage on their cars because of the pandemic. 60.4% of Americans are (or have been) working from home. They are not putting mileage-based wear-and-tear on their cars. Internet director told us they had the car we were interested in so we made the 45 minute drive. Upon arrival, the sales person also said the car was available. After another 45 minutes of gyrations, the sale person informs us the car is not available. Additionally, they offered no alternatives. Not sure what their motive is to draw someone in and waste everyone's time. They had a lot of awards on display from Chevy, which should be very alarming if they are considered one of the best. I took my car in for transmission issues. The adviser Edgar asked me if coolant was having issue, I said I've had to fill it once but hasn't been having much of an issue. They said it would be 500 to fix reservoir(2 hoses and couple clips is all it is) **noting I made a 30 minute drive there, popped hood for him. No coolant leaking or any bubbling or issues from anything. No coolant in my driveway, or anywhere I've parked. Fast forward a week and I pick my car up from getting transmission fixed and get about 7 minutes down the road, car overheating. I pulled over and popped the hook. Noticed coolant reservoir cap shaking, steam coming from area, coolant spewing from reservoir, and not even 2 seconds after popping hood reservoir cap popped off, hit me in face and COVERED MY LEFT ARM IN BOILING COOLANT. Called dealership and first guy I spoke with seemed concerned and was trying to help. Then my advisor Edgar got on the phone, didn't care what was going on and said "well I told you the part was bad" "it's under pressure" etc. throwing blame to me. There were no issues AT ALL OTHER THAN I TOLD HIM IVE HAD TO FILL IT UP ONCE WHEN IT WAS LOW. This was not helpful at all. Tow truck driver said he had another vehicle today with similar issue, started spewing diesel after body work. WOULD NOT TRUST THESE TECHNICIANS WITH ANYTHING!! CAP WAS NOT PUT ON RESERVOIR RIGHT, RESERVOIR WAS JUST HANGING THERE NOT CLIPPED IN. AND THEN TO BE TREATED AS IF ITS MY FAULT AFTER I WAS COVERED IN COOLANT BECAUSE THIS WAS NOT PUT TOGETHER PROPERLY. My arm is now covered in burns and blisters because of this. My 23-year old daughter failed emissions in her chevy cruze and took it to midway to be fixed. $300 later found to be 2 fuses that caused the failed emissions test. that is $150 per fuse - that you can get for $30 bucks at auto zone. Sure, they have to pay the technician to troubleshoot, sure they have to have the computer to hook up (btw its a simple connection under the drivers side dash board) sure they had to "troubleshoot" the issue. My problem is that it is a 23-year old girl working as a waitress with a 3 year old son (my grandson if someone is keeping score) and it was a complete and total waste! They took advantage of a woman, a mom, a kid .... ohhh she is mexican - can I throw down the race card too. What a joke of a dealership. How would you feel if it was your daughter? I had a similar run in with this dealership 15 years ago with my Chevy Z24 Cavilier (remember those things) Spent all day for them to fix a notice from Chevy that something needed to be replaced, under warranty. Nothing has changed there in 15 years! same crap, different people giving it ya. I'm mad, I'm upset. My car was dropped off 6 days ago, and I can't get my service advisor (Victor Morales), or anyone else from the service department, on the phone to let me know what's going on. The service center doesn't answer, and they don't return calls after you leave a message. I've called several times and left several messages. I even talked to the Sales Manager. He told me that the GM would call me within 10 minutes. I never received a call from the GM. Now, I need to pay nearly $300 to have my car towed back to my house in Mesa. I have a similar issue as Michael G. regarding repeated sales calls. I bought my 2018 Cruze LT Hatchback pre-owned certified. The car is fine, my problem is with the repeated phone calls exhorting me to take advantage of their "wonderful deals." The first call I got was ON the July 4 holiday less than 6 months after I purchased my car! The salesman insisted he had a couple who was very interested in my car. I just bought it!!! How can Midway try to promise it to someone else?! After I was called in February of this year I asked the rep to PLEASE REMOVE ME FROM THEIR CALL LIST!! She said she'd do so but Ishmael left me a voicemail last Friday afternoon insisting he had "good news" for me. I didn't answer the phone because the ID said Spam Likely. My voicemail didn't indicate that. Midway also has a habit of masking their phone numbers (including service-related calls) so they appear to come from a variety of ever-changing Phoenix area codes and phone numbers. I checked my car in for service and I told them I was going out of town for 4 days. They said absolutely no problem I could just pick it up when I get back. I said ok perfect and then while on vacation they kept repeatedly calling me to tell me car was ready. The first couple times I answered and reminded them they said I could leave it there. They said ok and they put a new note in the computer. A couple hours later they called me three times to tell me my car ready. They ended up calling me 11 times and once I got back and went to pick up my car I found out they didn't even finish the service. Making an appointment at this dealership for service is a frustrating experience. You book an appointment online and show up for appointment and they tell you they can't look at it for at least five days. Two weeks later get car back . So next time call to make appointment and they say they can get me in the next day. I ask if car can actually be looked at the next day or if this will be another drop off and they will get to it in a few days. The lady at call center puts me on hold for four minutes and comes back and says "no problem" "bring car in, and will you drop off or will you wait for it?" I say I will wait. Bring in Saturday to Lack of Customer Service rep "Hugo" who proceeds to tell me car will get looked at in about three days. I explain about phone call I had with scheduler and he is "well I don't know why they would tell you that !" So I bought my car back in 2018 and have had problems from the beginning. I also bought the extended warranty because they said it will cover oil changes and tires. Well it only covers the tires in the beginning which the fiance guy lied and said it covers wear and tear. So that was a waste of money. The dash goes out then comes back on. If I get a phone call it will just keep ringing even if I answer it and it will keep ringing like that until I turn the car off then back on. I had to have my battery replaced last year and that was covered under the bumper to bumper. Well it only had a warranty of 1 yr and of course the battery went out again after the warranty expired and they wouldn't cover a new one eventhough it was a faulty battery. So $229 later for a new battery and they said that was the only thing wrong with it. I'm so upset and I will never go back to Midway again and I will be letting everyone I know not to go there. They only care about money and not the people. I'm a single mom and they expect everyone to just pay the extra cost. Its utter bullshit!!!! . About a month ago I had an unfortunate issue with a car I had purchased recently from another Chevy dealer. I finally got ahold of the service department at Midway and spoke to Bea who on that afternoon was very helpful. When I asked if they had any loaner cars as I had to get to work in the morning, she said no but you can go to Hertz as they send people there when they have no loaner cars. My story from hertz is below so I'll not rehash. But on that Friday ( the day after I dropped my car off just after 6 pm ) I got a call from Bea telling me that before they could do anything they had to put a battery in my car and another advisor would call me later on that afternoon, which never happened , why I would figure out a few days later.so the weekend came and went and I heard nothing so I called hertz regarding the car and they stated they would extend the loaner until Wednesday ( this was Monday) . By that Wednesday I hadn't heard from Bea at Midway so I called and she had said they been trying to reach me, I explained that I never refer a call. I never got that call as they were dialing the wrong number..even though she had called me at the RIGHT number days before. When I was finally able to speak to her she told me that they had to charge me $250 to put in a better so they could see if anything else was wrong. I nearly fell out of my chair, I didn't have that kind of money..especially for a car I had just bought. I tried speaking to the dealer where I bought it, CHAPMAN CHEVROLET, and they proceeded to chalk my absolutely dead battery to the heat and it was a maintenance issue and they would not cover the cost. I explained this to Bea and then asked her if I could purchase my own battery and have them install, which she said they could do for $50..it took a few days before I had the $$ to buy battery$150..the. $50 for the install. Each time I had contacted Bea, she was not available, had left for the day. Once she finally got ahold of me, she left a message( returning a call I had made to her the previous Friday explaining that hertz was contacting me about the loaner car...) she told me that she had been trying to get ahold of me, she hadn't heard from me( I had a list of calls to her and midway service dept) she proceeded to tell me she didn't know anything about a car...SHE SENT ME TO HERTZ. I then asked to speak to the service manager, who was in a meeting, so I left a message to call me back, which never happened. I was able to purchase the battery, bring it to them on a Monday. That Friday I got a call( never before that that week) and she told me my car was done. I picked it up the following day and she said they would drop the loaner off at Hertz and that was that until today when I saw a $786 charge for a RENTAL CAR, that Midway hadn't approved, so Hertz said. After having my say with Hertz, I called to speak to the service manager, I demanded it, and have not yet received a call back. I feel this service department should have covered the cost of a loaner car, as they did not have any and this is usually something that is offered when there is service that needs to be done and the person needs a car. Terrible communication from the people I sort of dealt with at this service department, telling a car company that they are not approving paying for a car that they sent me for due to them not having any loaners to take home. One way or another someone is paying for this loaner car, as I certainly am not. I have disputed the charge with my bank, left an equally bad review with hertz and feel that this $786 was stolen from me. We had a recall on oil consumption and they won so my car was recalled and we took it into Midway to have the oil looked at and because the lawsuit was expired and over with last year of 2019 they refuse to change my oil and or fix the situation due to expiration which is bullshit because there's no such thing as an expiration on oil consumption. you guys are a bunch of morons and we're never ever coming back there again. Horrible dealership. Rude and negligent staff that have not been holding up their end of the warranty and failed to follow through with oral and written promises. The part was delayed due to the GM strike and Edgar did a good job keeping us posted about that. I had an appointment for just an oil change at 8am. arrived around 7:45. 2 and a half hours went by and i heard nothing so i texted the number it tells you to for updates and got no response. 30 more minutes go by and i go out and look for my service advisor. he tells me he thinks it's done but needs to find the keys. another 15 minutes go by. i finally got my truck back over 3 hours later for a simple oil change. this was my first time here and will not be back. i get short staff and what not but all around was poor service and communication. read more

So the company responded about removing me from the call list. Guess who I keep getting calls from! Another one telling me about their Memorial Day specials! I bought this car less than a year ago!! Also, I got an electric vehicle but they keep sending me emails and mail saying my car is due for an oil change and coolant change and all this other garbage. Unfortunately, I got a new phone and so they weren't on my blocked list. They are now!! They had specific price advertisement on cars.com . I called and setup and appointment. Before the appt , i asked for a picture of sticker. Replies we dont have in stock now but here is another one which is cheaper and commits on email the price. A second manager assures on the phone this is not bait and switch. I go there on appt time spending $45 uber each way. Test drive ok and then he shows me something that is $8000more. Uses fancy calc to convince me. I ask him so ur advertisement is incorrect and u can neither meet the price on advt nor email? Both guys nod and looks embarrassingly as they lied. I walk out and grab a uber. Where is honesty in Chevy dealership? I have email from cars.com price for inquiry as well as the sales guy's email quoting a final conditional price then they are selling something off by $8k. All fake advt on cars and carguru from this dealer i assume.
