    Enchiladas verde with shredded beef

Good good and quick service. We were sat right away without the reservation, and given chips and salsa. The brought waters right to the table and took out drink order, Horchata! After some chips they refilled the salsa and took out orders, which were out about 10-15 minutes later. My friend and pretty much licked out plates clean. Great food and if you drink they have fantastic mango margaritas.

We are sitting in the bar area for lunch (no problems!) they have a frozen margarita machine and a batch margarita cooler for margaritas on the rocks. Unless you order a specific tequila, then you will get a batch. That is also fine with me. What bothered me was the staff timing. They seemed to be fully staffed for lunch, it we spent over an hour for lunch. This is not the neighborhood that is a three martini lunch. Most want a great meal, quick service, and in and out in 30 minutes. Maybe I misread the ambiance. If so, that is on me. I had the chicken mole enchiladas. Honestly, they were spectacular! I judge a Mexican restaurant by their mole. What I have learned is that mole is just like grandma's chicken soup. They are all different. Some are great and some...well... I will go back, and next time, I'll order a house margarita on the rocks with no salt.

My friends and I came here for a quick get together on a Friday night and we were seated quickly, food was great, and the service was great. Highly recommend.

The Pozole at Miguel's is really good!

It's been several months since I've been to Miguel's, so I was due for a visit. With the Holiday Season in full swing, I was craving Pozole. I always prefer a little less meat and a little more Hominy and they had no problem accomodating my request. It was really good!! I always enjoy coming here. Love the staff, the cozy booth near the bar and the music.

It's another five star review from us! We treated ourselves on the last night of February before the hard 45 starting March 1. We enjoyed the big mama margarita that we shared and an absolutely fabulous queso appetizer with chorizo and shrimp. Halfway through, the baby fell asleep and it was perfect, we got to enjoy the environment and take our time.

Stopped in after work to a lively crowd. Our server was swamped! He was so kind and kept doing his rounds while keeping waters full and running drinks to a large party nearby. We stoned on fajitas and tostados. The food came out quickly given how busy they were. Everything was tasty and large portions

Miguel's is a great place to enjoy delicious and affordable Mexican food. Whether you're grabbing a bite for lunch or for dinner you won't be disappointed. Great service. We loved the food. The chips are so delicious and the salsa was amazing. I had the combination plate with the 20 oz margarita. Ambience is great as well. Bonus it was so festive for the holidays.

Have you ever had a Mexican 7 Mares (7 Seas) seafood soup? If not, Miguel's in South Reno is the place to try it for the first time. It is delicious! If your not into seafood, Miguel's offers a wide variety of other delicious Mexican dishes. Besides loving the food, I love the Latin music always playing in the background. Miguel's is a family owned business where the owners stay on top of providing good service, great food, and always make sure to stop by to say hi.

Coffee and small shredded beef chimichanga plate

Absolutely fantastic with every visit. It's always very clean. It is spacious and I've always been a fan of the decor. The lighting fixtures especially are beautiful and seem to be handmade. The service is excellent and everyone is so nice and accommodating. Every item that I have ever had here has always been exceptional and perfectly cooked and seasoned. I have been too attached to the small chimichanga plate lately. I'm obsessed with the shredded beef and how flavorful it is. And I really appreciate the dollop of fresh guacamole on top of the chimichanga that, mixed with some of the salsa makes for an outstanding bite. I'm also a huge fan of places that offer carafes of coffee for the table. It's really nice to be able to fill my mug as often as I need to. Much love to the Miguel's crew! I look forward to all future visits.

Pozole...so delicious. I threw in some radish slices, shredded cabbage, onion, and cilantro too. Comes with tortillas too.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this restaurant before. I've been here a number of times too. Regardless, we really like Miguel's. The service is always great, the food is tasty, and the space at the summit has lots of room in the dining and bar area. Plus they have a private room for parties which is pretty spacious. I usually order the pozole which I think is delicious. But honestly, all the dishes I've tried (and family have tried) are quite tasty. They have great drink selections too. I recommend trying it out. They also have a location in midtown.

Service is always great here. Between the waiters and bussers you always have a full glass of water and refilled chips and salsa. I got the pozole soup tonight, so good! The pork was super tender in the flavorful broth. I will be getting that again! The margaritas are consistently good, whether you get the house or the skinny!

    Chili Verde
    Althea L.

Had lunch with some former coworkers. Parking is plentiful. Was seated at and once and drinks ordered within 3 minutes. I got the Chili Verde and the meat was soft and flavorful and overall yummilicious! Got the skinny tequila with tajin on the rim and though I'm not into the skinny and more for the tajin, the drink was gooood! Place had a Mexican feel and cozy! Restrooms were cleaned and stocked. Servers were helpful and attentive. Definitely recommend this place.

They refuse to serve tap water and only allow you to purchase water bottles (cheap, generic kind), which is ridiculous. They give you salsa, but you have to pay for chips. First off, huge shoutout to the staff at both locations. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a group of about 12 showing up and ordering at different times, plus another large party there, and they handled it all really well. The patio has such a great Midtown vibe, and I'm always happy supporting local small businesses. We ordered a little bit of everything: ribeye gorditas with homemade tortillas, street tacos, quesadillas, loaded papas, elote, and I even attempted the AYCE tacos. The carnitas was some of my favorite in town, the guac was delicious, and my friend loved the skirt steak tacos. Plus, the three salsas they serve are all so good. Tacos are always subjective, but I'd absolutely recommend giving Ana's a try because there's something for everyone on the menu. The cocktails are fun too, and I'll definitely be back.

Rarely do I write a review after just 1 visit, but I'm making an exception for this little gem!…read more I've known of this place for years, but never stopped in before. I was glad that I did finally drop in. Located in a little strip mall on Valley Road, it's an unassuming place from the outside. The inside is small, but comfortable and it felt very "homey". When I walked in, the first thing that hit me was the smell of delicious food wafting through the air. The tastes did not disappoint. We were greeted and sat promptly by a personable young man that brought us water. The owner then brought us our drinks...a margarita for my dining companion and a Mandarin Jarritos for me. My sip of the margarita tasted amazing! Great balance and flavor. We also received a basket of chips and salsa. You could tell that they were made fresh to order. The chips were crispy and hot. The salsa was outstanding...fresh cilantro...balanced combination of flavors with a nice, subtle kick of spiciness at the back end. Not too spicy...just right. I usually have to ask for something hotter...not in this case. The food was amazing! My dining companion ordered the Chile Relleno plate and I got the Molcajete. The prices are outstanding and the amount of food? Huge plates! My Molcajete was sizzling hot and overflowing with chicken, beef, shrimp, nopales and ground beef mixed with veggies. A large plate of refried beans and spanish rice also accompanied this presentation. Fresh, hot, delicious corn tortillas rounded out each of our orders. We were also given a couple of squeeze bottles of sauces...green and red...to add to our meals if we wanted. Freshly made and the bottles were presented in a plastic tub filled with ice to keep them cold. Great addition to the already amazing food! There's also a nice selection of Mexican hot sauces on the table for you to choose from. We both took to-go boxes...so much food! Mine lasted for 2 more meals! I plan to return on a regular basis...this is now one of my favorite local places for great Mexican food. As always, I suggest that you visit to see what YOU think...
