I opened the burrito up to see if there was anything else and there was a bolt in the burrito!! How does this get missed? How was this not heard had it fallen? Miguel's Jr is mine and my sons favorite place. But not this location. On Saturday March 18 around 5:00-5:30 we stopped in. My son asked for onions inside his enchiladas and one had none the other had some sprinkled on top. He got his order right away I had to wait some time for mine, when I received mine (finally) my chicken taco was warm but my enchilada, beans and rice were cold and I as well asked for onions inside my enchilada but again they sprinkled a couple on top. The enchilada was so cold the cheese wasn't even melted. (It was a cheese enchilada) Needless to say we were not happy and will never visit this location again. I was very happy with their service and the deal I got on bean and cheese burritos for the 4th of July! I ordered online, which I had never done before. Since we're STILL in the pandemic, the inside is closed. I pulled up into a spot a distance from the door. Read my email, it says call so I did and someone brought my food out to my car! Awesome. This isn't a complaint - just an funny observation with a side of slight frustration. So I discovered Miguel's magical carne asada taco salad two weeks ago and since that discovery, I've had four. Yep. Four. And....each time I've had one, I've also gotten to enjoy four different versions of how they make it. Sometimes the beans are in the middle of the plate, on the left side, on top of the chips, underneath the chips. Sometimes there's cheese in the beans, sometimes it's under the meat, others it's on top of the tomatoes. The one consistent thing is the almost whole head of lettuce that's finely sliced up. Lol Today they decided my salad didn't need cheese in it. Lol All jokes aside, it's a delish salad, and I WILL be back again this week, but can I get some sort of consistency? I do not live near a Miguel's Jr. this one is about 15 minutes away from my house. I had a craving for their shredded beef original burrito and decided I would drive the extra way after work to pick up dinner. I did the drive thru and when I got home I found they gave me the wrong burrito. This one has shredded chicken in it and cheese. At the bottom was just a big glob of sour cream. We just moved to Woodcrest from Eastvale and I've eaten here twice. Both times the tacos are dripping grease and liquids from the shredded beef. They feel apart after swimming in the grease. I am done with at least this location! Got dinner the other night and the 3 orders of nachos were despicable! There couldn't have been more than an ounce of meat, no cheese and the chips didn't even cover the bottom of the container. I didn't realize they now close at 9pm. 1 star just because SOME of the food was good. They need a large sign at the drive-through that says attention. "Please check your bag and your receipt. We will never get the order right here at this location". Asked for 8 red salsa. Got 2. Plus 3 green. Missing bean and cheese burrito. Missing large salsa. Chip bag contained FOUR chips. Taquitos were burned. Had 5-6 shreds of cheese and SOME meat in the middle. Rice was great. Pork and potato burrito was just ok. This happens consistently. Really sucks because we live five minutes from there but we would drive to Norco to get our meal right when gas is seven dollars a gallon. I've never had a bad experience at Miguel's Jr. in Woodcrest. The food is fresh and hot, and the staff is courteous and friendly. I've found my favorite is the "Famous Garbage Burrito" served wet. I'll usually go with shredded beef for my meat, a nice companion to the beans, rice, lettuce & tomato. You can also choose chicken, pork, or carne asada. Guacamole & sour cream complete the burrito. If you're up for it, try the Chile relleno also - they're generous with the cheese and sauce. read more

This is one of favorite places to eat at when we visit family. We decided to eat in since we were on the road over four hours. The girl who took our order (Syeda, I believe ) didn't even greet us or thank us. I was really taken back. Ordered an El Potato burrito and an Original burrito. Think it would have been better to use the drive thru. Took over fifteen minutes to get a cold burrito and I had to open it to make sure there was meat. Found it more than half way down. My family has been coming to this location since they opened. It was reliable and decent for years but lately the quality has slipped. Tonight, we ate inside. The floor was sticky in many paces and the restaurant did not appear to be as clean as it was before. The young woman who took our order was pleasant and polite. I had the chili relleno and taco combo. The clear plastic container was large, maybe too large for the amount of beans and rice served, because there was only a very thin layer of beans and rice inside the container, and the beans were not warm enough to melt the cheese on top. The egg on the chili relleno tasted like it was cooked in oil that had been used too many times. The cheese inside was rubbery. The worst part of my dinner was the two containers of cilantro which were spoiled. Slimy, wilted, black cilantro. I wish I had remembered to take a picture. I returned them and asked if they had any that was fresher. The staff looked in two refrigerators but said there wasn't any more that was any better. I did not bother opening the containers of onions because they also looked old. The food my family had was not very warm and the carne asada tacos seemed smaller than before. When I asked for a bag to take home our leftovers, I heard the woman working the drive thru window talking to one of the cooks, a young guy. She was telling him he forgot to make a #3 and he asked what was in a #3. She asked him how he could not know what a #3 was when he had worked there so long. He said, "yeah, but I worked mostly in the front", meaning he was new to the kitchen. The workers seemed like they were doing the best they could but maybe didn't have a lot of guidance or supervision. You can tell when a business is being run well, and this Miguel's Jr. needs help. There is a new taqueria down the street on Van Buren and I am going to try it. I love really good Mexican food--lengua, birria, al pastor, carnitas--everything. I don't expect all of that from Miguel's Jr. but I do expect hot food and fresh food, especially when I am eating below a sign that says if their ingredients were any fresher I would slap them. Ironic. Also, on this Yelp page, the pictures the owner has posted are not even from Miguel's Jr. but from their full service restaurant. That seems misleading. The whole content of the bag was filled with so much carnitas grease that it seeped through the plastic. Good thing I carried the bag the entire trip home and didn't set it on my friend's brand new car! I did set it on the coffee table when we got home and grease was definitely on it. I am not sure if this place 2 or 3 star visit. Randomly stopped in while visiting in the area. The place is clean and has plenty of parking. Service was quick and friendly. First impression walking in was an upscale Taco Bell. I ordered a taco and combo plate. The taco was ok, nothing special about it. The combo was also ok. The beans were ok but I was not a fan of the rice. Overall, for the price versus the quality of the food, there are better places out there to eat. read more

Our family raves about Miguel's and we happened to be in the area so we figured we'd give it a try. I ordered the carne asada taco combo plate for $9.99. It comes with two carne asada tacos and a separate plate of rice and beans. We also got a side of guacamole to accent the meal. The tacos were very small - especially at the price but I went ahead and dug in to the first one. I added some salsa, onions, guacamole and cilantro of course. It was a pretty good taco - the meat had good flavor and was cooked to the optimum temperature and not well done. The guacamole was disappointing. It wasn't guacamole, it was avocado flavored sauce. It did not have the consistency of guacamole, nor the flavor. When I unwrapped my second taco, I was very disappointed. There was barely any meat in it. I took it back and they asked what the problem was and I simply said, "does this look right to you"? She replied in a weird tone, "what, it doesn't have enough meat"? My sarcastic personality almost kicked in, but I nodded and handed her the taco, they said hey would bring it to my table, so I went back and sat down and ate some of my rice and beans. The rice is a pretty good "generic" Mexican rice with a decent flavor. The beans were good. They had good flavor, but I thought they are a little too thin for my liking. It happens though, that we needed to get a full pan of these for a party later that day so I was going to get to eat some more later. It took more than 5 minutes for my taco to be returned, which is a little absurd if you ask me. My replacement should have been made immediately and brought to me. This one was a lot better. But there was so much carne asada in it it made the first one look small. So now I'm wondering if the first one was right????? Well I ate the second taco, doctored up the same - minus the green avocado flavored sauce. It was good. Again the meat was cooked perfectly and was flavorful. They have a salsa bar which - was a little disappointing to this writer. The house salsa is okay but too thin for me. They might want to consider a little more variety of salsas. The onions, on the other hand were awesome. In fact, another patron commented to me how awesome he thought the onions were. I was impressed when I tried them - they are good. They were very flavorful and well chilled. Very Good. The place was hopping when we left - so people like to eat at Miguel Jr.s and I did too, but I was not impressed with the consistency of the kitchen - this on my first visit. I've eaten at several Miguel's Jr. locations, and the food and service when they first open is always excellent. Sometimes that does slack off a bit, but for now, everything I have ordered has been excellent, from the carne asada burrito and tacos to the chile rellenos. I would definitely recommend going inside as the training crew are there and any issue you have will be addressed immediately. Again, this won't last, so enjoy it while it does. The drive thru seems like a bit of a mess, but they just opened and have way more traffic than I imagine they will in the future. The only bad reviews I have seen so far seem to revolve around drive thru service, so again, I highly recommend going inside right now where all the trainers and managers are and I would bet that any problem you might have will be instantly solve, plus, you can get as much of their red sauce as you want. It goes good on everything. I went back for the third time today and one of the chile rellenos was almost too tough to chew, and the meat content in the carne asada burrito was pretty minimal, so minus one star. This has actually become the norm now more than the exception, so minus another star. They're not perfect, but still the best tasting bean and cheese burrito anywhere nearby. Now that the training staff has left though, the meat portions are just too small, so I'm sticking to bean and cheese burritos. For some reason, Miguel's has the most expensive carne asada burrito of all, but the cheapest bean and cheese at just $2 and change. Throw in the gift cards sold at Sam's Club ($40 for $50 worth) and everything is automatically 20% off. read more

When I got to the window there was a young lady with a hair cover that handed me my drink and said that the food would be out soon and slammed the window. Can't ever go wrong with Miguel's Stop by this location as we were on our way home from a open house. We stopped by drive thru as our son had fallen asleep. Wait time for drive thru was really a long wait time. 26 mins for a Sunday afternoon. There was 3 cars ahead of us till we were next. Got our food, cashier wasn't really friendly. We pulled over and ate some of our food... we got nachos and beef burrito. I gotta say that was the worst burrito I've ever had at Miguels. Not satisfied at all. The flavor was just gross. The season was off like it had to much salt or something. I'm not sure if I would ever getting another beef burrito. I'll just stick with the bean and cheese burrito. Can't ever go wrong with them.
