I had the pleasure of dealing with both the Napa and Fairfield location. What can I say, both places was very professional. I wouldn't recommend going any where else. The Napa front desk person was very friendly. Nino (car appraiser) was super nice. He walked us through in details of what to expect, how long it would take, the whole process. He said it would take about 3 weeks to get my car back because they were short handed but offered to tow my car to Fairfield to get it repaired sooner. I got my car back in 1 1/2 weeks. They even brought our car back to Napa for us to pick up so we didn't have to go to Fairfield. I felt like Nino and the people at Napa took really good care of us from the beginning to the end. The Fairfield location took care of the repairs on our car. When we got our car back, our car looked brand new and it looked like it was never in an accident. That was one of our concerns was that it wasn't going to look the same. The repairs and paint job was flawless. A really nice guy called me to give me updates and what to expect when they were done. Mike's Auto body shop is not the same as other car body shops. I was always kept it the loop so it was really easy to deal with them. I didn't have to do anything because they were in constant communication with me. I received text msg to let me know the progress of my car. Brad did a great job with the estimate, I was able to explain the various bumps&scratches on my car. They were helpful in getting me a rental car. Of all the collision places in Napa, this one has the cleanest, nicest parking lot (along with the safest one- at Lito, you feel like you'll end up in a collision&definitely be at fault), along with a pleasant waiting area, with a hipster style, magazines, coffee with hazelnut creamer. It's a step above the rest, with superb customer service. They care about their customers&on a Friday morning, they can be quite busy. And... this is where the "You had ONE JOB!" comes in. The repairs would've cost more than my car.. so they weren't able to do the much-needed rear bumper/trunk work. Oscar explained how he would've done an easy fix on my car- it was in running order, considering the mileage. They were helpful in letting me clean out my car after I surrendered it. A total loss. These guys are pure class! A motorcycle scraped my new car and when I brought it in for and estimate, Donald and Nino, said they thought they could remover the marks without bodywork. They proceeded to clean the marks and make it so the claim was unnecessary. I also asked them to guide me on how to fix a scrape my hubby did with our bikes this past weekend. Took my car here after being referred by AAA, it was such a great experience. Brad did my estimate and kept me updated. Best part is that they worked on my vehicle so promptly and did a really good job. I really enjoyed the overall experience here. Suzzie and Whitney were great and helped me out a ton. They worked around my issues and schedule without comprising great work. I'm hoping I won't have to go back due to an accident, but if I did I would definitely go to them! Just a side note, they do use Hertz in Napa as a rental place (AAA preferred anyway) and the women at AAA front desk are terrible. The staff is incredibly nice, their lobby a nice place to sit while waiting for pick up and my car came back with the body work completed and car detailed which was a nice touch. The issues come with communication. We agreed that I would bring my car one week after estimate given and it would go to Vallejo or Fairfield for repairs. I drop it off, hear nothing for two days and after taking the initiative to call them, learn that they didn't transfer car and nobody had worked on it. Judging by the way I was shuffled around on phone and the confusion, I think they forgot my car was even there. It was a struggle to get return phone calls and the automated texts sent were not helpful as the car was never ready when the texts said it would be. If they could just get the communication down I would have given them more stars! read more

GEICO suggested we take our vehicle here for a collision repair. After reading all of the great reviews we felt it would be a good choice. I feel awful that I cannot give it a great review as our experience there was extremely frustrating and disappointing. But I also feel that every consumer should be aware of the good AND bad experiences and make their own decision from there. Are the employees nice? Yes. Is the communication good? NO. Did we get our car back in a timely fashion? NO. In our case I hope they were just having a bad month and half. That is how long our repair actually took, 6 weeks from start to finish. After many miscommunications to us about final dates of completion ( it was pushed out three times, twice on the actual days we were scheduled to pick it up....you can see why we were frustrated here) a part ordered wrong that had to be reordered, and an additional minor damage that they did themselves to the vehicle while repairing what it was brought in for that caused another few days to be tacked on, we were finally able to pick up the car. I was told they guarantee all the work that was performed. Unfortunately, they killed my confidence in them and I would not be able to stomach taking it back there for anything ever again. read more

Overall its a 4.5 unfortunately yelp doesn't let you do .5 stars. BUT I've gotten my bumper fixed twice at Mike's. First time it did take a little over a week since they had to order a new bumper. (Reason they didn't get 5 stars, but i had a rental so it didn't matter.) Second time it took 2 days. These guys and ladies are awesome! It's rare to find people in the auto industry that actually care and take pride (and more importantly, ownership) in their work. I will stick to the (somewhat) short version of my story, but I originally came to Mikes Auto Body after a collision for repair and an insurance claim. They were helpful and attentive from the moment I called while on the side of the road after the accident all the way to the couple weeks it took to complete the repairs. Repair work looked good, Jake (adjuster at Mikes) was friendly and punctual and I left happy. Cut to a month later when my car started giving me trouble. All of the sudden, I couldn't get the car to start and feared it was a symptom the prior work and accident. I called Mikes to see if they would look it over. Without hesitation, Jake offered to meet me at my house with a technician to have a look and try to jump the car to get it to the shop. To say I was surprised by this level of service would be an understatement. He and Dave, his super knowledgable, experienced and friendly technician, had a look and diagnosed it as a failed battery (which was not very old, hence my fear that it could be something more serious). They advised me to return the faulty battery to the place of purchase for an exchange and then they would install the new battery for me. Free of charge. Seriously?! They not only made my day and got me back on the road before 10 AM the same day of calling, but they also restored my faith in humanity (or at least the auto industry!). Go here and have no fear! I went to mikes auto body 2 months ago because my driver door was hit on my C 6 corvette and needed to be replaced new glass new new interior skin and components Upon being told my car was ready for pick up so I went there to get my car and they had to back order door skin I guess because you couldn't get it but I found many on line 300 to 400 with new grills etc. When I opened door it was miss aligned and sitting in threshold and scrapping new paint Kevin said no it's fine and when I saw that they had not even buffed out paint yet like rhino lining all down the whole side of car I refused to take possession of the car looked absolutely horrible the door was half inch out of alignment from top to bottom emblems missing on rocker panel GM and was told the got new mirror 3 times from junk yard WTF .. I go back the next day they missed buffing all the seams on front fender. And tried to convince me it was normal ...ridiculous and said it was done again the mirror didn't even work they left out all the clips on underside of car from when they took bumpers off.. I had to take it back a third time and they tried to charge my insurance an additional 3,000 for having to remove the door to repaint door jam and door and try to align door properly and fix mirror and put new panel for the interior so I get in and the new door panel they just put on comes with speaker grills in stalled and it was damaged I told Kevin look it's supposed to be new and he said they had to use the old one ??? I could tell it was the new one and they damaged it and with head a couple finishing plugs for the door behind Handel I also asked when they were going to replace the speaker grill that they damaged because today he said it was new and then it came with the car on the panel last week he said they use the old one so which is it they have purposely caused me so much anguish just simply trying to get the door fixed I will never recommend the shop !!The door still is not aligned properly And who knows how long their workmanship will last thanks Kevin for your sincere honest help to fix my car which should've been done the first time ...definitely do not go to the shop!!! I had the worst experience at this auto body shop. Couple months before I use this auto body shop I used Mike's automotive for another vehicle in Fairfield. The experience was amazing. The customer service was awesome the autobody shop guys were excellent the communication with me was top notch. Could not have been happier with the experience. Then I went to Mike's auto body in Napa California with another vehicle that had about 4% damage to the whole vehicle. When the insurance adjuster estimated it it looked and sounded very right from my experience considering I have worked on and built cars for years. We googled all the parts even agreed to aftermarket parts which I absolutely despise but everything was extremely affordable we even added in a couple extra thousand dollars for miscellaneous stuff that we couldn't see. From the very minute the tow truck dropped the car off at the body shop with me there the whole vibe was awful. The lady in the office wanted to have nothing to do with me, she didn't want me to fill out any paperwork, she didn't even want to communicate. It took 20 minutes before they could even get somebody out there to talk to me as if they did not want the vehicle or the work. Finally when they did look at the vehicle we went over it and everything seemed pretty straightforward. Now keep in mind I had the car for almost 2 weeks before I put it in the body shop after the accident. The car ran fine. We drove the car on and off of the tow truck twice once from the accident and once from my house to take it to the body shop. We moved the car from the road into the garage when it was here at my house. But all of a sudden the next day after I dropped it off at the body shop all the sudden my car doesn't run anymore and the motor doesn't work and now there's massive money that they have to spend to get a diagnostic check and a mechanic to check it out and they will pay lots of money to have it towed to the mechanic shop and back. Long story short mike's auto body in Napa with the owner of Mike Rose screwed me and my family out of an amazing car because of their lack of effort and their lack of desire to do the correct work. They say they're in business to repair cars and not total them but it's totally totally if they're willing to or not. Otherwise because of a lack of desire a family could easily be out of a good quality vehicle due to a lack of effort or doing their due diligence on a vehicle correctly. So due to a body shop lack of effort and blowing smoke up your ass it potentially costs a family $10,000 or more in expenses and all due to a couple employees not willing to do the correct thing. Their estimate ended up going through the roof and passed the value of the car when 96% of the car was in absolute mint condition and I mean mint condition inside and out. This car had extremely low miles and was in mint condition almost as if this seemed on purpose. They listed parts that needed to be repaired that weren't even part of the accident and they also listed parts that needed to be repaired and replaced because of their disassembly mishaps. Now my Audi A4 is at the auction thank you to Mike's auto body and Mike Rose. I am extremely disappointed with this auto body shop I would never recommend anybody using this auto body shop and this is coming from a guy that works on cars and understands cars inside and out and enjoys working on cars. There is plenty of autobody shops in Napa to use but this one is not one of them. read more
