Tried this place twice. I am in town visiting my son and daughter-in-law. Her and I came to Milestone (once mid-day and once for dinner) and honestly, if you are anticipating anything but a 'gastro pub' that up charges basic bar fare and mediocre, tired 'craft' cocktails made by heightened egos in fedoras, you will be disappointed. I come from a small town myself and most of the bars and restaurants I frequent have individuality, creative, and unique menus, with a 'Cheers' type feel while still earning their high ticket prices. The food here is sub par at best, the drinks are lack luster, the bar is stuffy and the atmosphere is similar to a Panera Bread. We had a lovely bartender our first visit, a young woman with glasses and red hair. Her vibrancy and personality made up for the lackluster food and (honestly) sad strip-mall-stop surroundings. The next time we dined there for dinner, and it would have just been unmemorable if it wasn't for the (almost entirely comical) attitude the GM was farting throughout the building with the most obnoxious and arrogant attitude. This man made it clear to all of the servers, bussers , and customers that he was a true expert of restaurateur endeavors. Yet he did not recall what a Gimlet was. If you're looking for a laugh that costs more money than it's worth, and to be talked down to by a man in a burlap apron, you should check this little strip mall gem out. I'd recommend dining at the Nugget grocery store across the street before here though. read more

Came here for brunch for the first time, have been before for dinner! Overall the restaurant is beautiful and I really enjoyed the ambiance of the plants everywhere. They offer bottomless mimosas for $20 which I think is a little steep, but they do come around and refill often. Overall food was good, needed a bit more seasoning, but I would love to have seen a bit more variety offered for brunch! They only offer drip coffee, no espresso is served, so if you want a latte or cappuccino this isn't the place. Our waiter was a little curt and short, overall he got us the things we asked for and ordered but his demeanor was a little off- maybe annoyed not sure. Went here with some friends for a holiday dinner. First I want to say it's a really good atmosphere. I ordered the steak frites and they were really good the flavor was awesome and it comes with a side of fries. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich. It was a good portion size and flavor was good (steal was better). We ordered drinks, appetizers ( sausages are the best) and dessert. Visited this place as we just moved to EDH and was looking for a nice Friday night dinner restaurant close to home. This place was a great choice! The customer service was amazing and overall it was a great dinner. I had the rib-eye filet plate and it was good overall. The presentation and overall flavor was good. Just one minor setback was that the steak was a little tough for it being the filet portion of the ribeye as typically the ribeye is a pretty tender cut of meat. The potatoes, broccolini, and blue and mushrooms added great flavor to the steak and food. The Brussels sprouts were great and had good flavor and plenty to share with others. Great portion size. We will probably stop by again as I want to try the Sea bass on the menu next time. Overall, a solid 4 star restaurant and worth going back for! I did have 2 issues though when coming here. One was a very unusual wait time to get the Pot De Cream. We waited 15-20 minutes from ordering to receive it, which seemed unusual because there's no cooking involved. And there was an issue with a meal item's level of doneness. We have been to milestone many times over the past year and it has become a staple in the EDH town-center. They recently revamped their menu and cocktail list which I assume was to stay competitive with the restaurant across the street. Our dinner tonight we had the scallop sashimi, gluten free gnocchi and eggplant Parmesan. I loved the gnocchi, they were cooked perfectly with delicious sauce added in. My wife enjoyed the eggplant, it wasn't her favorite but it's a dish worth trying. The service was great and ambiance is always on par to enjoy a night out. Our servers Cody and Reed were professional and attentive. Started off with wine and a wonderful Manhattan FABO. Dinner was excellent. $29-35ish range. My wife and have always really liked Milestone... We go there somewhat regularly- we have taken family and friends from out of town there on several occasions. So, it was a "no brainer" to go there for my birthday last week. My wife told them when she made the reservation and when she checked in it was my birthday. The restaurant was not even close to full... Maybe 1/2 to 1/3 full. I can honestly say it was one of the worst meals we have ever had- anywhere. First, we ordered two appetizers to share- baked Brie and crab cakes. The crab cakes came out first and weren't bad. Nearly 10 minutes later the baked Brie came out- it was not good. Cheap cheese prepared poorly. As we were serving ourselves the Brie, the entrees came out. So now the table is over crowded and we just have to ignore the appetizers because we didn't want our lukewarm warm entrees to get even colder. I ordered the wild mushroom risotto and it was, simply stated, gross. The risotto wasn't cooked, it tasted chalky. The wild mushroom was just a bunch of mushrooms in a bad white wine sauce that seemed to have come out of a large pot made for the entire evening. The visual image was nauseating. I'll spare the description I came up with to describe it. I added salmon to the dish- again, not good. Luke warm and mushy. My wife had the fish. I can't remember what kind, but everything on the plate was cold. She said the fish tasted good but it was cold. The service was shockingly bad. Our waiter could not have been less interested. He came to the table maybe 2-3 times. At one point he didn't even stop at the table when he came to check on us- "How is everything?" As he walks by on his way somewhere else. Then at the end of the meal when we had had enough my wife tells the server it's my birthday. His response, "Oh, no one told me. Can I get you something?" We declined... At this stage we were just done and couldn't get out of there fast enough. I am a good tipper. This time I left 15% but I should've left $.01. But I just couldn't do that. My wife and I, along with our infant daughter, stopped at Milestone on our way to South Lake Tahoe. We were seated with excellent accommodation for our daughter's stroller. My wife ordered the chicken club sandwich and I ordered the fries fish tacos. At first bite, we were very pleasantly satisfied. The fish tacos are the best fish tacos I have ever tasted.
