The owner looked at me with confusion as I handed him my repair ticket. I described my shoes to a T...5 inch stilettos with a wide crisscross strap. Still confused face. I literally watched this man walk over to a pile of shoes and rummage through pairs and pairs of shoes to eventually find mine on the bottom of the pile.... Dusty and half stripped . So I knew work had started on them bc I did not drop them off in the condition I took them back in. I inquired as to why they were not finished and he said " it's been busy, then snow". I also asked why he did not tell me he had not finished them when I called ( and I gave him the tix number on the 10th of January). He shrugged his shoulders. At this point.... ZERO APOLOGY! ZERO offer to complete the repair at a 25% discount.... I did not ask him for one. He said... and I quote..." you said take your time".... In my mind and most other customers minds.... Take your time means in a reasonable time..... HE gave me the date of completion for Dec 27.... Again.... Shoulder shrugs! How does someone run a business like this? Lack of respect for my shoes ( found on the floor) lack of honoring the delivery date with ZERO APOLOGIES. Then have the audacity to place blame on THE CUSTOMER for not having the repair FINISHED because I stated take your time! SOMEONE MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE TO ME!!!! I called my friend who highly recommended MASTER REPAIR SHOP in Rockville Maryland to me and let him know how my repair project was treated. He was beyond shocked. Many apologies from my friend but not ONE from the OWNER! Please avoid this shit hole ( physically a nasty mess... where my shoes were found on the floor) AT ALL COSTS!!! The owner is CLUELESS on how to provide great customer service. It was HEINOUS AND DEPLORABLE AT BEST! With the damage done to my shoes ( because he started my project) the price to fix them at another shop up the road was 50 dollars MORE... at $150.00! That's double the cost of the shoes when I bought them. When the owner said he would fix them in the next MONTH ( I have a late Winter wedding to attend and wanted to wear the shoes in question) I nearly lost my mind! I stared at him with such disappointment .... He then said... and I quote..." You didn't pay YET, so here" and held out my shoes to take. I took them and as I left I told him what I thought of his shitty customer service in Italian, Spanish and English! I'm sure he understood ONE of the three languages I speak! The customer service is beyond repair itself and I will NEVER EVER allow this shop to work on any of my shoes if I'm in need of repairs. I took it to my local mechanic and they cleaned the cowel under the windshield and snaked the sunroof. While it slowed the leak, it'd still leak after a rainstorm, even with mild rains. Someone told me about Seatco and I took it there for an estimate and left it for couple of days. They took out some other areas which cleared the leaks! We had a major storm couple of days ago and NO leaks! So if you have any water leaks or issues inside your car I would definitely recommend Seatco!

For background, I have no interest in interior design and have no business spending real money on furniture I know nothing about. But I found myself in a situation where I had nothing for a space that had to be smartly utilized. And I wanted it to be beautiful. Was this really the time to experiment with Pinterest while spending thousands of dollars? & I needed the furniture to last long enough that I wouldn't have to think about this again for a very, very long time. I also needed to buy everything during a pandemic, when everything was delayed... So I turned to an option I never had considered before - hiring interior designers. I had heard great things about this team and wanted to explore sourcing this huge project out to them. It's a pretty simple process. You go to their website and fill out an intake form that introduces yourself and the project. Then they'll sell up a virtual call to meet and discuss your style, and budget. Then they came and looked at the space, took measurements. Then they pitched a proposal. From there you have to make some decisions. They are going to present you with options that may be outside of your budget. This is where we gotta grow up a little and recognize that if you want nice things, this is how much that actually cost. I was happy to increase my original proposed budget to get what I needed. But there were some peices that I wanted to spend less on and they quickly came back with lower priced options. They were very adaptable there. With that, they placed the order! Over the course of the next few months, the furniture started arriving. They work with a contractor who you can hire (through them, they handle all the admin work) who can assemble, hang, etc do all that work for you. They even came over to make sure everything was hung in the right spots. There is a science and art to design that they are factoring into every decision for your space, and it's worth their fee to get all your nice new furniture all in the right place. They look for beauty and functionality in every detail of the space. So now I have this gorgeous dining room [photo provided]. Our guests are blown away whenever they walk even towards the space. It's exactly what I wanted when I described the target ambiance to the team. Beautiful, relaxed, warm, stylish. I can't tell you how happy I am with my experience with Splendid & Swanky and the confidence it brought me about my home.
