We usually order for 2 days, so we also ordered: The pork osso bucco. Delicious. The veggies were mainly overdone broccoli florets. The only problem. Second time we've been here and I thought the last time the service was slow today it was nonexistent! We were seated at a table with nice sign on a little pole so that the wait staff knew we needed service. So we sat and we sat and sat some more meanwhile an endless parade of staff passed by without as much as a nod of acknowledgement. Waited a little longer and nothing. So we left. My suggestion to the owner is to can the waitstaff, make the place self service or at best have an educational session on proper customer service because your staff doesn't really have a clue. Kyle was the best server I had a great birthday! He offered me zingers or cake and I went for the CAKE (free because of my birthday.) I ordered the top shelf margarita and it was beyond incredible. Good spot for drinks and bar food! We walked in at around 12:30 am on a Tuesday and it was actually pretty busy. I am only taking a star off because the black bean burger wasn't that great. WORST SERVICE EVER My family and I eat at miller's very very often in house and for delivery. To be exact, we've ordered delivery 7 times. EVERY SINGLE TIME we order, it comes wrong whether in house or delivery. I'm not sure why as i even call after I place delivery to confirm. Upon my confirmation calls, they staff is incredibly rude. I was hung up on, condescended you, and insulted. I would not even rate one star. Upon calling back in the past after the wrong order was delivered yet again, they mentioned a credited gift card under our name in house for inconvenience. I'm giving it two stars generously because I have eaten here in the past and the burgers were decent. Not spectacular but decent. That's the upside, but it ends there. The service is horrible and on this third and last visit it prompted a walk out. Let me start by saying that it was not particularly busy as it was a Monday night. We were seated right away and then we waited... and waited.... I noticed a waitress in our vicinity having lengthy conversations with a particular table. After 15 minutes we hadn't even been greeted by our server. We flagged down the hostess who was somewhat dismissive and said she'll be right over. Still nothing. The hostess chatted with the waitress but she still didn't approach our table. The next time she passed our table she shot me a dirty look and proceeded to carry on a lengthy conversation with one of her two other tables. I had enough. We walked out. read more

As soon as we arrived, we stood around a few minutes until someone came over and seated us. Throughout the meal, the waitress changed about 2-3 times, for some reason. It was odd, especially when there were only 3 other parties in the restaurant and it was a rainy night, which meant there probably would not be many people coming in after us. My friend and I both ordered a French onion soup to start -- it was very watery and salty, unlike other variations we have had at other sports bar-types of establishments like this one. The entrees were also disappointing: I got the sirloin, which was incredibly tough, dry, overcooked, and flavorless, while my friend got the ribeye, which was dry, full of fat, and also had no flavor. No amount of black pepper could save it. We were hungry, however, and felt we had no choice but to just finish our meal, but there was no satisfaction behind it. The waitress that ended up sticking with us toward the end was not friendly at all. She was serious at all times, and slammed the drink refills on the table. For about the same price, you can get some flavorful cuts of meat at Outback. In retrospect, we wish we had done that, but it was getting late, it was rainy, and we just wanted to eat something better than what you'd eat at a fast food joint, but in the end, it was just not worth it. I was disappointed, as I have eaten at the North Miami Beach Ale House a few times, and do not recall the food being this bad, but perhaps it has more to do with the specific cook at the grill that night, than the Ale House chain itself. read more

The place was the tits back in the day and sadly that day has come and gone. These places were all bought out by Miller Brewing, which explains the majority of their beer selection. The service is always hit or miss, but typically better during non-peak hours. The Glades location is the one I grew up with. This place would have lines out the door on Ladies Night. It's where you either started your night or ended it (before maybe Denny's). It's where everyone went to watch a big game and I'll never forget the fond memories I've had of this place. The friendly bantering during a football game. The friends who got arrested in the bathroom for doing yae. The parking lot where we'd listen to our favorite tunes in between drink sessions. So yeah, this Ale House will always be apart of my high school years. But all good things come to an end and this place these day just doesn't do for me anymore. The food has always been pretty average. Whether you get the 35 previously frozen shrimp or the British Burger you know what you're getting. It's still a serviceable bar, but like I said, most Ale Houses lost their mystique. They can't compete with other bars because they lack the service, atmosphere and food standards. Bru's has their wings. Duffy's has their point system with a great mahi sandwich. What does Ale House have? The crowd is gone. The love is gone. I'd still come here for the Captain Jack's Burred Treasure because it's a fine treat, but until they figure out how to reinvent themselves, this place is always going to be the 4th or 5th option when wanting to go to a sports bar. read more

I've eaten at the Ale House several times. The food varies from delicious to barely edible. The baby back ribs are very good. The shrimp is O.K. The Prime rib is excellent. They have great beer deals. The chicken dishes are usually good. The service varies from great to poor sometimes. The bathroom is fairly clean. The chopped steak is good. Primarily it is a bar. Food is just an afterthought and it tastes that way. Fries are all right as are the salads. If I'm really hungry, I wouldn't choose the Ale House, but if I want an ice cold beer-I'm there. It's a great place to go to enjoy sporting events (I love that they have the Yankees channel on one or more of their huge number of TV's.) read more

I went to look at the website, because I had forgotten what I had for lunch. And it immediately starts playing music at me. I hate that. The stop button was also hard to find, which is even worse. My review was already going to be sub-par, but that almost tipped it into the "really bad" range. Luckily for Boca West, my grandfather liked his jambalaya. I'll expand on that, their oysters are decent. Meaty, big, and didn't make me sick. And while the aforementioned jambalaya looked greasy and pre-made to me, he was fine with it. However my "catch of the day" tasted bland and greasy, even though it was supposed to be blackened. There also, wasn't any black. False advertising! My margarita was also way, way too sweet. Whatever mix they use was sickly sweet. I had to ask for some lemons to make it palatable, and even then I wasn't a fan. Very disappointed. We've been eating here for years. We went today for lunch. I ordered the lunch enchiladas. I took one bite and they were cold with hard, dry rice and beans so I sent them back with our waitress who had the personality of a rug. They came back to me a little while later after my family had already almost finished their food. Same meal with my bite taken out of the enchiladas. The plate was hot, enchiladas still cold and the rice and beans now drier and harder than before. It didn't occur to me they were just going to take my plate and throw it in the microwave. I had an awful experience here. I came here on a Wednesday night to watch the heat game with a couple friends and that was supposed to be the plan for the night. I ended up leaving at the 3rd quarter of the game. It started off bad when the hostess told us that the table we originally had is no longer available because it has roaches around it. We ended up sitting at the opposite side of the bar. Our waitress was not very friendly or helpful. An example is forgetting to tell the girls I was with that it is ladies night and the drink specials that are available to them. The food was sub par. The crowd was old fogies on one side and college aged kids on the other side. The reason for the 1 star was because around 9:30 they had this DJ come in that was horrendous. The Boca Ale House is the very first Ale House that I ever went to, and in researching this review, I realized I have been to TEN, count'em, 10 other Ale Houses, because "Yay! I'm a fan" is right. I went to the Ale house on Glades road last week and it was your typical sports bar, except it had so many tvs! Right next to each other were huge flat screens which covered the place practically wall to wall. Ok, I may be exaggerating a little, but it had definitely more tvs per square foot than most other places! Anyway, for an appetizer we ordered the beef nachos and not only were they monstrous, but they were actually delicious. Very generous portions, it was like a huge plate filled up high. Everyone seemed to agree that they were good, so they were a big thumbs up. The night I was there was a lobster special for around $10 or $12, I can't remember exactly how much it was. But I was kind of shocked at how low the price was, enough to make me apprehensive about ordering it. What I got was a lobster that was recently molted and the shell was a little bit soft. That made it easier for taking apart. The meat was not as sweet and firm as when I get a top of the line lobster, but at that price of around $10 how could I complain? It wasn't really delicious or succulent, but it wasn't bad either. Besides the food, the wait staff was very nice and accommodating. We are here at least 4 times a week. Service is great, food is great and Steven, the manager, is above and beyond awesome! We bring our out of town friends and family here all the time. We gav liv d here almost 5 years and still continue to come here almost every week night. Also, I want to mention that Christy, bartender, is wonderful! We don't even have to order. Another place I frequented throughout the last decade plus. A good choice for local conveniency, as is in a good central location in a shopping center. While the shopping center has decent parking, if you want to park really close to the entrance, you will probably not be able to during "peak" dinner hours, since this place also gets a huge amount of senior citizens between 5-630pm. However, this place also has very late hours, I believe until at least midnight, though I think later on the weekends. They also have really great beer specials and not surprisingly, the bar is huge (the whole place is kind of like a big bar though) Even the food specials are enticing, as far as bar food goes. Anyway if you want to really get your drink on and eat pretty well for like under 30 dollars, this place can do it. If this matters to anyone, there are also an innumerable amount of televisions, it doesn't matter where you sit; youre looking at at least 4 tv's easily. Man this place is great. The epitomy of not judging a book by its cover will serve you well as you enter the Boca Ale House. From the outside, it looks like another strip mall Bar & Grill. And, really, that impression does not change too much as you enter and sit down. Things change there, however. The waitresses are all young and friendly (and helpful). The selection of beer is pretty decent, and I had a Pilsner Urquell for the first time since I was in Prague (granted, I've seen them since, but this was $2 and sounded good on a hot day). Service was prompt. The food is where this place really shines. Now, a Blackened Grouper sandwich is not something I usually order from a bar & grill, but I was in Boca Raton, Florida and that is pretty close to the ocean. You know, the place where the fish come from? Well, I had to remind myself of that as I ordered since I have been in Cleveland for so long. In any case, this guy was immense, in size and in flavor. Wednesday is ladies night. That does not mean cheap drinks, apparently, that means FREE drinks. Dang. Also, the clientele is a funny thing. I was there in the afternoon, and it was all 55+. It's also the US Open Championship.. side note, I'm a football fan over tennis, but this is the Djokovic vs. Medvedev US Open Final, and Djokovic could be making history. Management reached out to me. Offered me a comp certificate which was a nice gesture. I didn't receive it yet, but I went back again two nights ago. Ceci was our server and she was great. They messed up my food order (I saw Ceci write it correctly!) and I ended up getting my corrected order when my family was done eating, so I took it home. I just can't get a break. I will still continue to go back, because it's convenient and we love the food. But I would just like for it to go as expected and not have issues. I emailed the general manager about this visit, but did not hear back yet. I'm sure he has many things to handle, so I am sure he will get back to me when he has time. We went there to watch a Heat game. We were obviously the only customers with the same idea. I'm used to Miami where an Ale House would be packed for a Heat game, but that was definitely not the case here. Man was it dead. The food was typical Ale House. They have the best boneless chicken wings (Zingers) and my favorite spinach dip of most anywhere I eat. Their fries are hit or miss, but not the best usually. Typically they are undercooked. That said, I like Ale House and eat at various locations pretty regularly. USUALLY my go to place to watch a game, but I'm new to Boca so we'll see.
