I happen to like this Ale House out of all of the ones I go to. The management is great, food is decent and drink specials are great. I enjoy lobster night here - 1 1/2lb Maine Lobster with a side for $19.99. Last week we sat at the bar and had our dinner here because it was lobster night and extremely busy. The servers at the bar are incredible - attentive, friendly, quick. Be warned this place is packed with senior citizens between 5-7pm - after 7 the younger crowns begins to drift in. read more

Hello, we visited the Millers Ale House on 01/03/2020, which was actually my birthday. I even showed the bartender, Eric, my I.D and he said "Happy Birthday" and I appreciated that. We ordered two alcoholic beverages and we asked for a side of loaded fries. We did not want the full order as we had just come back from another restaurant; so we had just wanted a few drinks and a small side of loaded fries. Our order came through and our bartender gave us the full loaded fries and we questioned it. The bartender said that they can't do half orders of loaded fries and he quickly said that he would adjust our bill for the misinterpretation since we weren't corrected when we specifically ordered "side order of loaded fries". As we were wrapping up to leave we asked for the bill. We received the bill and noticed that the bill had not been adjusted. We did not even eat the whole plate of loaded fries...more than half was left on plate. We noticed the manager was a few feet away from us and we called him over. Around 9:30 pm, my girlfriend asked him "Hi, just wondering if you could help us with this. We talked to the bartender and he said he would adjust our bill but it wasn't". The manager (which we later came to find out his name was Greg) condescendingly said, " What did you expect to pay 99 cents? You think this is Burger King?". My girlfriend replied, " We did speak to the bartender and he said he would adjust the bill and we didn't even eat everything". My girlfriend pointed at the plate and Greg said, "I see that you guys didn't finish everything, so what are you guys expecting to pay 99 cents?". My girlfriend replied, "We were not expecting to pay 99 cents but we were expecting our bill to be adjusted. We don't have a problem paying our bill and I don't appreciate your attitude over a simple question". On top of this unprofessional encounter we quickly asked for his business card and he quickly replied that he did not have one. So then we asked for his name and he said he didn't have one as well. The only reason we got his name was because we talked to our bartender after this ordeal and asked for his name. Greg repeatedly refused to give us his name or business card and to try to get rid of us by saying he would take care of our bill. We never had an issue with paying, we just wanted our bill to be adjusted. We did not expect this unprofessional, condescending, and rude encounter with the manager. It was my birthday and we were just trying to have a celebratory day. We would appreciate if someone would reach out to us ASAP to make sure his actions and the way he treated us don't go unnoticed. We have always come to Millers Ale House at different locations and had never had an issue until last night. We have a copy of our receipt if needed for evidence. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to go out and have a splurge night. Nicole K was our server. She was very prompt and professional. We shared a caesar salad, which was definitely big enough for 2! He of course had the always yummy zingers and I had the Tuesday night special. It was a New Orleans Sirloin for $8.99. It was so good and juicy. Perfectly cooked! I wasn't expecting to eat a steak but I ate the entire thing(didn't finish my broccoli)! So if you are looking for some delicious comfort food the Ale House is the place. We've only been here a handful of times and even though we don't expect it to be super the last time we were there was a complete disappointment I don't know if the kitchen was understaffed I don't know what happened so we get there no reservation but my daughter started coughing she has asthma and she got a cough attack we decided not to stay because we just didn't wanna disturb everybody around us even though we know she's not sick we know she's not contagious but it's uncomfortable for her and other people around her so we decided to just take our food to go my husband goes into the takeout side and asked how long it would take for us to order our food for us to get our food they say depending when you order about 10 to 20 minutes we ordered two hamburgers for the kids a salad for myself and a dish another dish for my husband he comes back and says about 15 minutes. We ordered at 7:28 at 8:15 we're just completely impatient and we just wanna go home we go back inside to ask how much longer aware the food is and they say it shouldn't be more than a few more minutes then someone comes up to us and says well we're actually waiting for the Apple juice for the kids meals and that's what's taking so long seriously Apple juice then another person comes back and says we're actually out of Apple juice and we were just trying to find some and that's why it's taking so long then a third person comes out and says would you like anything other than apple juice because we don't have apple juice at this point I could've care less about the Apple juice we get our order there's no salad they look at us and they say if you wanna wait it's gonna be another 10 minutes we can get the salad we said absolutely not and walked out again we don't expect the best service but this was just ridiculous read more

my 1st time to this location and maybe 20 years since I been in a ale house. service was excellent a.t.m. was out of order I ordered a Rueben sandwich which contain what was equal to 2 slice of lunch meat with cheese and sautéed onions and maybe a sauce and a huge toasted bun to say the least it was lousy I never had a Rueben topped with so much cole slaw, it might have been called a cole slaw sandwitch, I got a side order of slaw too which was bland and tasteless. I wish I could give my experience at West Boca Ale House last night zero stars. A group of friends and I popped in to the Ale House over Hurricanes after we had completed an event. The hostess proceeds to seat us at a table for six (we were a party of 3). Not a big deal. Here is where the problems began. Unfortunately, we were blissfully unaware that there was an NHL finals game as well as a UFC fight on prior to entering the establishment. As we sat waiting for a server, any server, we saw plenty of food runners and waitresses flirting with other customers, but none had approached our table. This problem then was compounded when a young waitress quickly comes to our table and says "I'll be right with you in a moment." That moment lasted another 10 minutes. Eventually we decided to pick ourselves up and leave the establishment. Waiting twenty minutes for a server is completely unacceptable. As I exited the restaurant, I made sure to explain to the hostess of the situation and told her not to seat anyone at our table because there was no service back there. I do not recommend coming to this establishment on nights they're running various sporting events on their televisions. read more

We ordered a beer refill before the 11:30 bar closing and were told 7 minutes later that the bar was closed. Even though we are regulars, she refused to being us a beer. I am so over this chain. We go for nostalgic reasons. We had drinks at this location 9 years ago on our first date. 9 years and 2 kids later we've kept coming. The service has just gotten so unbearably horrendous in the last year. Something is always wrong with the order. Every single time. I order fish tacos without sauce, it comes slathered in sauce. Steak salad with dressing on the side. Dressing is on the side but it's loaded with "bistro sauce". Doesn't make any sense. Today is the last straw for me though. I ordered a zinger salad with grilled chicken. The same server who took the order brought out the salad. With fried chicken of course. Even though she took the order she still served the wrong salad. So I wait at least 10 minutes for them to remake it. Again. I wait for food to be remade here almost every time I go. Or eat something not made the way I ordered it. I did not want to come today, but I had a gift card from Mother's Day that was expiring and figured I'll go and hope for the best. Nope. I am SO disappointed at my recent experience at Ale House West Boca, a location that my husband and I have been frequenting since 2014. I thought it would be a great idea to take my cousins from out of state to Ale House for a birthday. The late night happy hour is a great deal and I knew they would enjoy it. We sat down and ordered. Our server David M. seemed to take issue with my female cousin who was ordering a Margartia Pitcher (for somewhat obvious reasons). He refused to acknowledge her and when she asked him if he heard her order the last 6 times he stated that he "was not talking to [her]" ranting about "refusing service" because he "doesnt like her attitude" and "doesnt tolerate disrespect" although my cousin had only tried to place her order. He berated her for quite some time until I reminded him that we are paying guests and asked him to treat my family with more couth. After we all decided to quietly place our order with this hostile server, David M. asked for ID (as appropriate) from my cousin. What was inappropriate was with the ID in hand and no reason to believe she was underage, David M. demanded that she recite her birthday (May 22nd). He had not asked anyone else in our party of eight to do so, and most were younger than she. She did so, and seemingly just to antagonized he exclaimed that her birthday is in September (???), she is a liar, and he was "refusing to serve" her. Most unfortunately and absurdly, the ID reflects my cousins birthday exactly and it seems that he was simply trying to antagonize an incident with a valued guest. Luckily, not only was I present at my cousins birth (), but as the only individual familiar with the establishment I was smart enough to both speak up and also take the ID and read it back to David M, who simply chose to tell a lie to antagonize a new guest. I asked him to read the birthdate back to me. He did not, he simply went to get the drinks. We can only draw reasonable conclusions about what his bias/issue was, but it was clearly related to race. David M. berated her and made things extremely awkward for our party. I eventually spoke up as an employee of a restaurant and reiterated that we are guests, and never have I heard of someone refusing a guest service or treating a guest this way simple because he "didnt like her tone." I was completely embarrassed to have brought my family to this location. Although we were a party of 8 intending to both drink and eat at this establishment, we decided to leave promptly after out first round of drinks. My cousin that was being offended went to wait outside and was *followed out of the building* by David M. antagonizing further shouting at her that she didn't pay for her pitcher all of the way outside although she was on a shared check with her friend who was sitting with 6 of us at the table waiting to pay. I am extremely offended by this behavior. I have never sat at a table at Ale House (we typically sit at a bar) so perhaps I was unaware of the poor service that this establishment employs. My husband and I both work at a nearby restaurant, which is why I was so perplexed at this behavior. This is repremandible behavior at any establishment. I will say that manager Will did attempt to rectify the situation by offering some compensation. He was kind and willing to listen to my concerns (although he never inquired about the server in question) and take care of them. At this time I am not sure that Ale House will see my or my husband's business again, but I do appreciate Manager Will's demeanor. I seriously hope that this behavior is addressed. My family and I were made to feel uncomfortable and attacked, and that is not representative of the Boca Raton establishements that I have frequented my entire lifetime. David M. needs serious training, serious help, or perhaps needs to find another line of work. I hope to never have such an experience again. read more

Super disappointing visit. Ale House has a solid reputation for being a fun place with good food and drinks...but then I haven't been to an Ale House in 5 or 6 years until last month because there is none near my house. My visit tonight found a bartender who seemed angry at the world and generally miserable to be there and dried out salmon. I didn't complain, so I can't comment on how they handle complaints. I just left because the bartender just brought my check instead of asking how my good was or if I want another drink. Bartender was Fernanda S. My visits last month were slightly better with perkier and funner bartenders, but still just "eh" food. Not worth the premium price. I won't be back. We stopped by the Miller Ale House on Glades road tonight. It was busy but we got seated within a few minutes. Our server Brit was helpful and detailed. We got the pitcher of watermelon Margaritas and it was delicious! People seemed to be enjoying the Wednesday night special as we saw alot of lobster. My boyfriends steak was fabulous and I had the Cajun chicken pasta with Ceasar salad. My favorite was the calamari. Everything came out quickly and the manager , Chris stopped by to check on us. Just another ale house but what sets this place apart is management. Alyssa was awesome I was by myself and the restaurant was dead at 11 pm. Times like this is safe to assume everything is bordering closing and the service level goes down.
