We came for Easter Brunch so I was prepared to wait a long time and be served by a bunch of grumpy employees. However I was pleasantly surprised. Most everyone was friendly and on top of thier game! I love it here! On Instagram they have a link to a buy one get one free coupon. Although you do have to buy two drinks, there is no dollar limit to the entree. Make sure you do this. If you go, ask for Mary, she's usually in the bar and she's top notch. Always engaging and never let's your drink get empty. She's really amazing, if you get her, you'll see what I mean. If you go for breakfast you have to ask for a bread basket (do this). The French roll and the carrot cake Madelines are a delicious way to snack while you wait for food. I get the quartet always, you can pick and choose 4 items from a list of 5 categories. The French onion soup is extra but absolutely worth it. Its Amazing to think that this establishment(Mimis Chino) that has been here for 25 Years still has Great Food and Amazing Service! They consist of chopped iceberg lettuce dumped on a plate, topped with very small amounts of chopped turkey slices, chopped ham slices, egg, tomato, bacon and a few pieces of avocado. Usually expect quality food and service from Mimi's. My wife and I stopped by for lunch and as usual the food was very good. Service was sub par, we had two simple requests, first was a for couple extra napkins - and the server said he would be right back. After 10 minutes, I had to repeat the request when the server passed our booth. Second was asking for a side of mayonnaise when food was finally delivered after 30 minutes. The server left us and did not come back (no mayo) until we were finished and he dropped off the check. Sunday 9/18/22 I put my name down for a party of 3 at 10:37am and requested patio. There was NEVER an indication that it would be an issue. After people who arrived after us began to be seated I asked about how much longer the wait would be. They said we can go take a seat now. So was my group forgotten about? Next issue is the service (or lack there of) the rest of the meal. A few minutes after being seated a young lady asked us if she can take drink orders. My sister tried to order a mimosa but the waitress said she can only take water orders. So then why ask us for drink orders and not waters?? After about 15 minutes a different young lady finally came and said sorry about the wait to us and the table next to us. Yet she skipped us, who were seated first, and took drink orders from them. She told them she's sorry she thought she was only given one table. So was she complaining about my group? She came after and took our drink orders, again. But we said we were ready to order food. She took our order AND NEVER RETURNED. I decided to type this review because the next waitress to come out complained yet again that she thought she was only given one table outside. Update: 11:54 we now have ketchup and my group finally got their mimosas. As the waitress delivered the drinks she made a comment to the us and the table next to us "you guys should be happy out here. There's good weather and it's so peaceful." Everybody outside gave each other the same look of disbelief she said that. Update: 11:57 the table next to us received their food first Update: 11:58 We received our food. My waffles arrived without the berries I requested, my mother was missing her muffin. The food is barely warm, not even close to hot. Update: 12:01 the waitress brought my mother her muffin. We were a party of six at lunch time. Two people ordered a quiche/soup combination. There was more "pie crust" crust than filling. One of the quiche's crust was so tough it could not be cut. Another person ordered an Eggs Benedict dish--the egg was overcooked. I ordered an Asian Chicken Salad that had no flavor. Even when I added Balsamic Vinegar, it was tasteless. Absolutely fantastic! I made reservations for Mother's Day and was seated immediately. I don't remember the waitresses name but I've been there several times and every waitress/waiter has been so kind and on point with service. The food was amazing and the Mimosas were phenomenal. Terrible service and food. Our server took the order and delivered the food fine, but then she disappeared and never came back to check on us. We we missing utensils and salt, and had to grab them from another table. The manager walked around the dining area like he was checking on everyone, but the three times I made eye contact with him, he quickly looked away and ran off. Our servers were Destiny and Alexa, they were truly the definition of exceptional customer service. We were a very large party, with children, and a very pregnant sister-in-law. You all did such an amazing job at taking our food orders, having the banquet room set up, cleaning the tables as people were done eating, and all with a smile on your face. Wow! I don't think I could have done the same if we had hosted this event at home. Thank you all for making this blessed event so easy and smooth for our busy family. It's been a few months since I've been to Mimi's. We had buy one get one free entree so we decided to have breakfast. My wife ordered the pain perdu breakfast and I had the sausage and eggs. The pain perdu was very good. Not too sweet and did not need syrup at all. However, the sausage was overlooked and very rubbery. It actually made my wife nauseous. Everything else was fine. The eggs were cooked well and the potatoes had good flavor. Overall, it was good except for the really bad sausage. read more

Caesar dressing was good. Quiche was cold. This needs to be very hot and steamy to be enjoyed. French fries in kids meal tastes like old oil and were way too hard to even eat. We ordered the trio of appetizers that comes with 2 grilled chicken skewers, garlic & cheese flatbread, and spinach artichoke dip. The garlic & cheese flat bread was the best out of the three. It was full of flavor and the cheese was melted and not burnt or hard. I ordered the French Creole Pasta that comes with shrimp, chicken, and sausage. It's mixed with tomato sauce, penne pasta, bell peppers, and onions. I thought it was going to be spicy, but it wasn't and it tasted delicious. It had Southern flavors, but I didn't find much chicken in the plate, it only had a little bit. The service was a little slow and it took a while to get our orders in. She catered towards the older patrons and was very short and rude to me. The tone in her voice and body language was harsh and unfriendly. A very poorly kept woman ( disheveled hair not tied back but roaming the kitchen area, sweater on that did not appear clean, and overall looked to not be in professional attire) to be representing a franchise like Mimi's. She approached my table, did not introduce herself and did not even have a name badge on, when I asked who she was she acted as though she was offended and grabbed for a name badge that wasn't there. Instead of giving me her name she walked away and sent the server back with my remade waffle. Shame on Nancy for representing HERSELF and Mimi's in such an unprofessional and off-handed manner. We flagged him down for refills on our drinks and some bread, only to have him disappear again. Came here for a thanksgiving dinner with coworkers and I tried to love the replacement (half chicken plate) for the old rosemary chicken plate but no cigar. Plus our waitress was eh and when my coworker asked her about an item she asked her to read the menu description. Product knowledge helps customers. Carrot cake was good. We also received the trio platter, which had meagerly coated chicken strips and zucchini fries. Zucchini fries were good but chicken strips have no spice no kick, nothing.
