Even though we have eaten at Mimi's RC before and it's always OK, I feel compelled to review our Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, because it was outstanding. Not gourmet, but really tasty - like homemade. The service was wonderful, so efficient and friendly. The lobby was full when we arrived, and I thought, well, even with a reservation, we would have to wait. Not so, we were called almost instantly. Maria, our server, was at our table in minutes. Took our order and chatted a little, right back with our drinks. We never wanted for anything throughout our meal. She was always pleasant and helpful. Very enjoyable. Been coming to this location for years and they've never disappointed me until recently. This was the first year I ordered something from their Thanksgiving menu. A 5 pound sliced turkey breast, cranberry sauce, and gravy. Turkey was extremely dry and bland. Gravy had a funny aftertaste. For the price being almost $120 it was super disappointing!! Also when I went to pickup my order the male manager and one of the waitresses were rude. They seemed frustrated and didn't acknowledge me until I said something. I want to like Mimi's. It's one of those restaurants that use to serve quality and good tasting food. The muffins and coffee are now my go to, however my last visit they microwaved the muffin too long it was hard to eat. I also had the crab benedict and it did have a bit of a fishy taste. I see why this restaurant has such a low rating. I ordered the Quiche Lorraine. A restaurant know for the bakery, the quiche was not pleasant. The crust was uncooked and very soggy. I wish I had taken a picture. The roasted potatoes were dry and presented very poorly. This will be my last visit here. After a complaint I did receive 10% off, but it should have been free. Once seated were were handed menus, after a few minutes the waitress return to take our drink order and upon her return we placed our food order. The food was served hot and fresh. I wish I had asked if I could have had fruit substituted for the potatoes (although they were good). I wish they still offered muffin instead of it being an additional charge. I used to really like Mimi's but today I am very disappointed. I love crab cakes. They just added it to their menu. My issue is what's advertised versus what you actually receive. I'm not sure what happened but I asked for 2 crab cake appetizers and not two crab cakes. Also the crab cake was mostly fillers. You could barely taste the crab. 1/4 crab meat 3/4 fillers. We joined Mimi's for thanksgiving and it was impressively smooth. The place was packed. We had a reservation for 3 people and on Monday added 4 more so when I said 7 the lady at the front said I only have you for 3. The manager said no problem and he took us back to our table. The soups and salad came out quickly and was very tasty. They had options of white, dark, or both. Mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, and cranberry. All very nice and pumpkin or pecan pie. The place was full, pretty much every table and everything was smoothly run and efficient. The best part, no dishes. The one criticism is that we would have liked the green beans to be a less soupy, but that is trivial. Great job Mimi's crew. read more

So we ordered this food, Bread Pudding was great, it came cold so i warmed it up for like 4 minutes and put the drizzle on top. Love bread pudding, my grandma makes a great one. The flank steak sandwich however... i ate it because i was taught not to waste food but the lettuce is wilted, steak was cold and overall... i just wasn't that impressed? ‍ Iced PB Choco Mocha was great, speaks for itself. Spinach Art Dip was okay i eventually took the bread off the sandwich and dipped the steak in it (warmed the dip for like 3 minutes) and it was alright! My boyfriend got a steak cooked medium rare and that was also really good, his brother got a chicken pot pie which we all took a bite of and it was delicious. With restaurants re-opening post covid, this restaurant did a .good job with sanitizers, distancing of tables and staff wearing masks. With all the good, comes the bad which was the food. Hubby and I both ordered the French onion soup which we sent back because it was neither hot nor edible. We have always enjoyed their FO soup but for some reason this had a strange taste. I swear every time I do an online order with this location, they never have it and even though I pay online AND I have the proof, they never get the order AND they have the nerve to think I'm going to pay for it again even though I show them it has debited my account.
