To be honest I just wasn't blown away. This place is pricey and average/forgettable. I have been here twice now. I stopped by during the soft opening the first few days they opened up and recently stopped by early May. The service was friendly my first visit but seemed I was intruding on the two women employees personal convo. Second visit similar experience as a young woman and man were sitting on their phones behind the counter having a conversation they did not end even when taking my order. Not as friendly and seemed they just wanted me to order and leave. No friendly customer service or how are you or enthusiasm. The cafe is beautiful and bright with modern seating and a comfy couch. WIFI is available for customers, making this another popular spot in U district for students on laptops. The drinks are expensive. Quality is average. My first visit I tried the Ube matcha. Ube soft top was sweet and good but definitely not authentic. Matcha is definitely lower quality. I am a matcha connoisseur and don't mind a lower quality matcha sometimes but this is just not good. Especially for drinks being like $9 and the place is called Mina's Matcha I would expect better matcha. A bit grainy. They do whisk the matcha which is great but it's just a low quality not great tasting matcha tbh. My second most recent visit I gave the Earl Grey Matcha a try which is with their house made Earl grey syrup. I've tried Earl Grey Matcha from a few other Matcha shops and this one was least impressive. The syrup tasted more like a simple sweet syrup. Didn't really elevate the matcha much, just added a bit of sweetness. Hard to detect any Earl Grey flavor. I am a big fan of matcha and big fan of Earl Grey. This just wasn't great especially after paying $10+ after tip I just felt like I regretted my purchase. Not a great drink and not great service made me wish I went to another place nearby instead. I don't like being harsh but this was my honest experience with Mina's Matcha. After my two visits trying two different of their Specialty Matcha's, I won't be back. I just think there are plenty of better options in the U district.

After having a late lunch elsewhere, I was looking for a new indie cafe to try. Time for a visit to check out Mina's Matcha in Seattle's University District (4/16/26). I lucked out with street parking around the corner, since no luck along Roosevelt Way. The bright, corner cafe was fairly full of customers onsite - studying, some on laptops, others having active convos. Indoor seating included counter high tops, two top tables, a bench, and additional seating by the wall shelving. The counter person was very personable, greeted me and others that followed with genuine enthusiasm. After glancing at their beverage menu, I opted for a peach blossom matcha refresher with added sweet cream. The remaining scone and cookie did not quite catch my interest, however, the chocolate ganache cake did. I requested a slice of that. The counter person was very kind to bring both my beverage and cake slice to where I was seated. I decided to sit at one end of the couch, however, this was not meant for long term seating for me. It would have been fine if I had a longer torso and legs. I spent over an hour onsite and it was pleasant. Great natural light, decent music playing, minimalistic decor. The iced beverage was indeed refreshing and the chocolate ganache cake was moist and not overly sweet. Both items were on point. Well situated indie cafe along Roosevelt. An enjoyable visit!

classic matcha latte with almond milk!

Mina's Matcha is a 10/10 every time!! The ingredients are high quality and the menu definitely has something for everyone. A huge plus is that the owner is the sweetest!

I have followed Mina's Matcha from the pop-up days and this cafe was created with incredible intention. Amina, the owner, is genuinely dedicated in created a space for community and sharing her love for matcha. She takes great consideration of the quality and intentionality of sourcing it. And if you are curious about it, ask! She would love to tell you about it. I've gotten the double matcha a few times and it is strong and fantastic. I've always had an easy time finding street parking, and have also noticed there are always fresh flowers in the counter. It's a bright, lovely spot to do some remote work, meet a friend, or even host a community gathering!

A true hidden gem in the neighborhood. The pairing of tea, floral, and matcha flavors are beautifully crafted and balanced. You can also adjust sweetness and add your own on the side if it isn't enough. There are a lot of new matcha shops popping up, all serving ceremonial grade matcha, but Mina's is my favorite in terms of flavor, variety, and seating space. I am hesitant to tell people about this place because I want it to stay hidden! It's quite well-known among students who need a study space or groups that bring their family. On one side, there's a cozy reading nook. On the other side, lovely seats by the window and a few tables. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area.

I came for the soft opening and it was beautiful inside! The staff are very friendly and offered to give recs. I ordered a strawberry matcha latte (~$9) with whole milk and half sweetness and it was perfect! I like how there wasn't too much ice as well. S/o to the amazing worker that saw me staring at the guava raspberry pop tart and handed one to me while waiting for my drink

Cute spot and really good matcha! This is definitely one of the top matchas I've tried in the Seattle area. When we came it was quite busy and hard to find a seat, but eventually a couple cleared up and became available. I got the regular matcha latte with oat milk, which was really good! Super strong matcha flavor and just the right level of creaminess. It was quite pricey, but really good. They were also so nice!

saw the sign outside when walking down the street and decided to stop by for some matcha. i was taken aback by the prices and for how much these drinks were, i was pretty disappointed with them. matcha flavor was not very strong, even though i chose the stronger, umami matcha option. the worker was super friendly though! and the first thing i noticed when walking in was how CUTE the decor was.

So glad to see they finally have a brick and mortar location! They've done a great job with the spot where one of my favorite candle places used to be. There's plenty of types of seating including couches, bar stools, large table, and small tables. Great lighting near the windows. The menu has some classic mat has, more special options with cream tops, and then not matcha things. They have oat or corn milk too which was nice. They were very kind and gave me a 1/2 lavender 1/2 earl grey matcha since I wanted to try it out. It was good! I will definitely be back!

I love this place! Mina was so nice and welcoming. The place itself is clean and great for dining in. The banana pudding matcha was probably the best-tasting one. It was thick and creamy, and you can actually taste the bananas. The umami of the matcha complemented the sweetness of the pudding very well. I highly recommend this place and would come back!

Mango sticky rice matcha, I asked for extra mango puree

I've been a Mina's matcha customer since she opened in January. I love the drinks and my personal favorites are the Ube Matcha and the mango sticky rice from the summer menu. The cafe is very beautiful and always has the prettiest florals. The customer service is always 10/10 and the employees are always so sweet every time I visit. Me and my friends love to get work done here and they always have the best background music

Mina the owner was very nice and helpful when I was deciding on wether to get my drink fully sweet or half sweet. I ordered the Ube cream top matcha with oat milk and it was super delicious!! My drink took awhile to make however it was worth it! The prices here are kinda steep however I understand because they use the highest quality matcha. The space has lots of seating inside and is very cute and cozy. Overall, I'd come back here again and I recommend this matcha place if you're ever in the U-district!

Cute new matcha place! The people running it were very friendly and sweet. The matcha itself was strong tasting although a little on the pricey side for the amount you get. Would go back and try some other matcha drinks +flavors in the future once they've gotten more settled in.

If you can find parking in the Cap Hill area I would definitely consider this as an option for a sweet treat. I think the prices are really reasonable considering some of the other options. Staff: 5/5 (nice) Sanitation: 5/5 (clean) Soft serve w/syrups (5/5) I've had most of the syrups that they offer with their vanilla soft serve. The soft serve itself is a really creamy and rich vanilla milk flavor. I would say it's closer to that Asian milk flavor if you know what I mean. I think the hojicha syrup is my favorite out of all the ones I've tried so far. It has a really nice roasty flavor and not something you can find at most other places. The matcha I would say is my second favorite. The flavor of the matcha syrup is definitely lighter compared to the hojicha but still is a nice compliment to the soft serve. The black sesame would be the lowest on my list out of the, all since I felt like the flavor was too nutty like it was a blend of sesame and potentially a nut. Overall I would definitely go back for the hojicha but if you're not into that there's definitely solid options for other flavors.

Realistically the deluxe is for 2-3 ppl to share if you're not huge dessert person. The ice cream is creamy and just the right texture. The presentation is really a showstopper. I always see a line when I pass by but service is fast and they hand your dessert to you directly after ordering. There's no awkward mix-ups or other people taking your dessert which I like. Will be back at some point to try out their other flavors and for a smaller portion!

We got a matcha float with mochi and a hojicha float with mochi. We love the hojicha better. The matcha is prob one of the better I've tasted, but not often you can find hojicha ice cream and milk tea. It was creamy and mildly sweet. So good, refreshing and satisfying! The mochi were ok. It was very bland and not sweet at all. I do prefer my mochi to have a little sweetness to them, like a sweet bite. This was like chewing a bigger non sweet boba ball. So I'd pass on the mochi here and maybe do all ice cream. If ever we're in Seattle would visit again. Update: we came here a few yrs later. The drinks were still good as ever. My husband got a frappe and loved it. We had a salmon bowl which was decent. Not something I would order again here but we were so hungry from traveling and meeting friends, we needed some food. This time no line out the door. We got a seat inside. We came in June this yr, nice weather outside but inside was super hot as they did not run the AC. They had the windows/doors open but no breeze and mosquitos were inside attacking. I can't imagine a good breeze when the cafe is wedged btw two huge buildings. My drink (red bean brown sugar latte) was obviously extremely sweet but it was pretty good with plenty of red bean. My one complaint is that they don't have boba straws, which is a bit baffling to me. Sure they don't technically sell boba but the red bean topping in my drink was constantly stuck in the straw because its so narrow! Seems like an odd oversight. I had to use a spoon to eat the red bean by itself at the end.
