I attempted to return my leased car this morning. I was told by 4 different reps to just bring it in, no appt necessary. I was greeted by an unkempt sales manager, his name was Howie Levinson, with the worst breath you've ever smelled telling me no one can help me today. I tried to show him the email from one of his sales reps telling me to just bring it in, he told me he didn't give an F what anyone else said. Ooookay. So i filmed myself dropping the keys off to another rep but I need to sign the closing papers. To say this was a bizarre and weird experience would be the least of it. The customer service here has always been pretty bad but I've never had encountered a retail establishment both employing such an angry, hostile person and treating customers like this. read more

Got my car back and it purrs like a kitten. Francis, the gentleman assigned to communicate with me on all matters about my repair was fantastic! I had a third party insurance that covered half of the repairs called Easy Care and Francis did all the communicating with them for me. I only had to call them once to verify I was not scamming for money and I actually do take care of my vehicle. They covered a portion of the repairs. Five stars for awesome customer service. My car took a bit longer than I wanted, but, they had to order a special part. I say special, well, because I don't speak automative language too much. The advisors, have forgotten to be polite and greet clients! Perhaps it was because we did not want to cough up the second $295.00! but it is rude not to say good morning... as we had not even met in person before! Called to get an oil change on my 2019 Countryman. Was told get me in on Thursday. When I asked the earliest I could drop off and latest to pick up I was told will call when ready since you have to leave it for multiple days! Yes, you read that right. Multiple days. I asked for a simple oil change and was told yes. All services take multiple days to be completed. I always take my vehicles that are under warranty to a dealer. We came in last week for a test Drive and our sales rep Mike was the best he makes you feel right at soon as you walk in the door. He listens to what you are looking for in your budget and directs you to right style . After we were had all the information we let him know we would be back to buy car. So jump a week later we let him know we where coming back he made a list of the style of cars that were in our price range. We picked one out then came back to get it Mike made sure we had an understanding on how everything worked in and out of the car. I purchased my Mini Coop Roadster S from CarMax. I was treated like dirt when I came in for warranty repairs. I brought my car in multiple times and was always sent home with no work being done...and then Jacob took over. I was angry and frustrated. Jacob's positive attitude and willingness to help turned my mood around. I received an alert that my engine lost power. I could not drive over 56 mph. I had previously spoken to Kimo (an outstanding Manager) and he is fabulous! Because I didn't purchase my car through a dealership I did not have the option to receive a loaner car. Kimo arranged for me to have a loaner. I, politely, declined. Jacob was having the repairs on my car done while I was working in San Francisco. I took Lyft to and from BART. Long story longer...Jacob told me what was wrong (this is a typical Mini issue). I had all of the spark plugs and coils replaced and my car drives amazing. If I could give them a ZERO I would. This is a long overdue review of this place. I made an appt to have my Mini 2014 looked at and to have the Hatchback door latch replaced, I was quoted $1362.00 to replace the latch, also the Gear Shifter Switch needed to be replaced for a $1653.00 cost, they determined that the Lower Timing Cover needed to be replaced for an additional $1,583.00, almost 5K; I refused to pay this, and told them I would pick up my car later on that day except I couldn't, because they had broken through some sort of panel to access the latch/trunk of the Mini, (funny that East Bay Mini didn't have to do that when they inspected the car nor when they ultimately performed the service on it); It took 2 to 3 days for my car to be ready. A week or two after, I noticed that the passenger seat was not working properly as before Mini of Concord 'inspected' the vehicle, the seat wasn't sliding forward by using the handle in the rear top right-hand side of the seat which allows passengers get in and out of the back seat, nor it slide back and forth as before, somehow they must've removed the seat to access the 'trunk' from the inside and did not place the seat back the same way as there is a loose elastic strap with a hook under the seat now. A floor panel cover by the passenger door had been removed and was not screwed back in place. I reached out to Representative Jacob M. and left a message but I never heard back from him or anyone. What a dishonest and horrible way of doing business, I regret not having made the time to post this right after it happened, and for hoping they would be better since I had purchased the car here. I'm not upset about their fees, they have to right to charge whatever they want, I am upset that they damaged my car and more than likely did not want to piece it back together as it once was because I became a loss to them, and only made out of me $250.00 inspection fee or for the hour the spent 'inspecting' (destroying) the vehicle. I hope others avoid this place, is not only expensive but they will wreck your car in the process I suppose if you decide not to move forward with the repairs and/or you are out of warranty. I ended up taking the car back to East Bay Mini in Pleasanton, they replaced the latch for the quoted fee of $495.00. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE, save yourself money, time, and a headache. I love my mini cooper s, and have had it for over 3 years. I bought it in San Diego and have taken it everywhere with me. It is well used and has almost 70k miles on it already. Took my car in for a oil change and a checkup. They performed the oil change and told me that I'm going to need a new battery soon and should replace my skid plate on the bottom of the car because it is scuffed up. I had a feeling that the battery was almost done. It was already 6 years old. He told me it was going to be around $550. When I asked him why it was that amount, he told me it was because of materials and labor. I said I would look elsewhere. I got it changed to the same battery type with AAA for $230 and they they recommend I get the battery registered. I called back and asked how much it would be to get it registered and was told $215! $215 for 5 minutes of work! They don't need to use really any labor. I bought my own OBD2 scanner and register it for $75. And now I will have this for the future if I need to change my battery. Why are you trying to ripoff and take advantage of your customers. I have always had good experiences back in San Diego at the dealerships but this one felt manipulative. Also the oil change was the most I have paid at a dealership for an oil change. Last time it was $89 back in San Diego but here it was over $130. Disappointed. Guess I will start doing that again on my own. So much for keeping my business. read more

After a great experience with Mark via email and in person, I preordered an electric Mini Cooper and paid a $250 deposit. When the tax law changed, and the Mini was no longer eligible for the $7,500 EV tax credit, buying the car no longer made a lot of sense. After multiple promises that the deposit was refundable, I cancelled the order and expected a prompt response. Nearly six months and many unanswered emails later, I still haven't received a refund. No one at the dealership apparently has any clue or desire to resolve this. Too much time had passed between the order and cancellation to dispute the charge with Amex. Unacceptable, I made an appointment online and I called the day before to confirm it. They tell me that they have no idea who I am and that my appointment is not on file. No one ever reach out to me. I have never been here before but I never will. This is very unprofessional to say the least! I put the online request four days before my appointment. Our Mini is well out of warranty, but we needed some relatively minor repairs and they seemed to be the only mechanics willing to tackle the issue. Was totally shocked to learn they want $264.00 to just look at EACH issue. For us that would be around $800 dollars BEFORE they fix anything! That is flat-out usurious. My Mini Countryman needed new brakepads, the indicator came on in the car. When I called the dealership I found out that my maintenance package had expired so I took my car to get the pads replaced somewhere else (Midas). The brake pads were replaced and Midas told me that they were not able to turn off the brake indicator signal and light in the car. They stated that there is a key that needs to be used to turn off the signal and Mini has it. When I called Mini of Concord to ask if they could turn it off for me they stated, "no". They basically said you should get your Mini repaired at the dealership otherwise they can't help me. I find this ridiculous and not customer friendly at all. What happened to customer service? In Aug 2016, I was looking for a used Mini with specific amenities, contacted East Bay, SF and it was Jason Krupa, from the Concord dealership that managed to help me. He tried to help me find something reasonable and just said it might be worth it to look at getting something made...I've never done that before...does it cost extra??? NOPE! I ordered my Mini (new baby) on Aug 25, 2016 and picked it up Dec 2, 2016 - it was painful but so worth it, watching the progress of it being built and being shipped was nerve-wracking. Now that it's Feb 2018 - I can say that I would encourage for anyone to have their dream car built and you don't have to pay for extra bells and whistles that you don't really need. I seem to have created a great look that I've seen copied by East Bay and even Concord...will consider that a compliment. Thank you, Jason! read more

DO NOT DEAL WITH PRE OWNED HERE!!! I called about a pre owned vehicle. I specifically asked about the condition of the car as I live an hour away. I was told "I know the car well and it's very clean". Since the car was exactly what I was looking for I was excited. I scheduled an appointment to drive it. We show up and the rear bumper is severely scratched and the parking sensor is smashed in (see photo). We wasted 3 hours of our time. I call the service manager and let him know how disappointed I was with being mis lead. This car has been sitting for over 3 months and I was prepared to buy on the last day of the month. He said "we will fix the bumper and knock off $500." Not much more of an apology on the misrepresentation of the condition of the vehicle. I will not be returning to concord anytime soon. read more

If you have a warranty and u want FREE service, sure take a chance but to those who are expecting professionalism and customer service, I am warning you LOL Do not take a chance with them and thank me later. Here is my crazy story with them. I took my mini 2011 back in January for a engine light check up. 2nd week since I dropped off my car : Miguel ( guy who worked on my car) called and said total estimate will be $3,700 and my car will be ready to be picked up in a week. Okay. I approved and told him to work on my car and notify me when its done. 4th week ( now we are in February ) : I get a letter from them stating my estimate is over $5,000 so I called and argue that this was never discussed with me and no places just order parts and install into a vehicle without a permission. So he spoke with his service manager Micheal, and they decided to waive the second part fee since it was their fault. So my estimate was still at $3,700 March: They confidently said it will be ready in a week but we are now into 2months just phone tagging each other. And he goes on a vacation. LOL End of March : Miguel called and said my car was ready to be picked up and I confirmed the price again and was more than excited to finally put an end to my carless life for last almost three months. Jokes on me , Upon my arrival to the Mini dealership, Miguel was NOWHERE to be found LOL HIDING from me and avoiding my calls continuously and they said I will need to talk to the service manager (Micheal) but since he's out to lunch we had to wait. Service manager finally arrived back from his lunch, It made sense why Miguel was hiding from me. Service manager had a nerve look me in my eyes while chewing his gum (RUDE and unprofessional!) and tell me " so the fee is going to be $3,700 but since the car isn't drivable you will have to call your insurance or towing company to tow it out." WTF I drove to dealership from my house and my car was running just fine. I never once had an issue where my car wasn't drivable before I took it to this dealership and waited 3 months to get it "fixed". He, then, continuing with his nonsense If I want to get it fixed I will need to pay $7,500 out of my pocket and he cannot guarantee if that's going to be the final price. He gave me no choice but to abandon my car pretty much. Dirty and shady work guys. I guess your company is dumb enough to give you guys a pay check LOL NOT ONE SiNGLE PERSON that I encountered here know what they're doing. Mind blowing. First of all a little background on me I am a 60yr old male that has be buying and driving cars for over 44 years. In that time span I have owned roughly 25-30 different cars and trucks from 1967 Pontic La mans to Mercedes, and everything in between. I have dealt with many different types of car people and even when going to collage. I even worked at a used car lot. I was looking for a quick fun car to have as a second car. I decided on 2018 MINI COUNTRYMAN S ALL4. I went to three different dealers since there is not one in my local area. I ended up at MINI OF CONCORD after visiting the other two and not being happy with the deal they were offering me. I contacted MINI OF CONCORD and Jason Krupa just by sending out e-mails to see what any other dealer could do for me. Well I am glad I did. Jason was straight forward with me and told me what kind of deal he could offer me. I met with Jason on September 16 and talked to him for the first time face to face. I was going to wait till Dec to order the car but Jason was able to give a great deal and we placed the order. He told me about how long it might take to get it. Not being a very patient person and knowing it was going to take 8-10 weeks to get was going to be rough. I was able to get information on when the car was built thru when it hit the docks in the Netherlands to all the way to the port in so cal. to the day it arrived in Concord. But that did not make it any easier. I must have e-mailed Jason 10-15 times with different questions. He was always very quick with the answers and made the wait easier. I've been bringing my countryman to concord Since I bought it. Found out that it had an extended warranty still active from the previous owner. Ever since I got serviced they always provided a loaner to the customers. Seeing that these dealerships are far and few between it only made sense that they not inconvenience us and it allowed folks to move on with their lives (work, chores etc). As of today they have now taken this awesome convenience away from customers who's cars are not currently purchased?!?! You must now have a 2019 or newer vehicle in order to acquire a loaner car?!?! Come on!! As much money as we spend on services there this is how you treat us!? Sales side Great. Service side Sucks. Too busy to do quality and comprehensive analysis. Don't go there with expectations of timely, reliable results. (below is the copy of the last letter to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair) I'm very disappointed with the result of my concern with the service department for Mini (BMW) of Concord. "Richard I", your agent doing the follow-up, simply regurgitated the service manager's read on the computer printout of my car's service needs. I had left a very specific question for Richard I. on his voicemail regarding whether the service department could 'dig deeper' and get the read out I expected and had been diagnosed at two independent Mini garages. Cars have become very computer reliant. Two separate independent Mini service garages told me the data of the event (suspected High pressure fuel pump failure) is still in my computer's car. The problem is the computer diagnosis takes time to 'dig deeper' and it has become obvious that Mini of Concord's service department is so over-loaded with work that they did not want to leave my car on the analysis machine longer than necessary to find a fault, any fault. Further, I had the print-out from an independent garage in the car for their review. It could have been a point of reference to make the time on their analytical equipment more profitable/manageable. They had my car for four days, a few more hours to get to the root of my concerns didn't seem out-of-line. My take-away is that "Richard I' is also too over loaded with work to do a thorough investigation. So, now I wait for this recognizable Mini issue to happen. It is covered under warranty on my car for another nine thousand miles. Hopefully my car doesn't cut to half-power creating a dangerous driving situation. Paul Harford read more

This is long overdue review and let me say, bravo Mini of Concord for listening and really stepping up your game. Let me start with my first visit after my sad disappointing February visit. I was reached out to by Mini of Concord with many apologies around my visit. I appreciated the outreach but felt that every time I did give feedback that I was never heard, but yes...I was heard and perhaps others also complained. So when I did come back, I drove up, someone was there to greet me outside. Took my keys and helped me to get my appointment going. The front desk led me to my service person and he was great! Very friendly, talked me through all the services I needed and all the optional items I would need to pay for if I wanted it. I think I was so flabbergasted by the great service I was receiving that I said, "go and do everything I need." Yes, I paid an arm and a leg for it, but wow...night and day. The donut box was replaced with a donut case which displayed the donuts which was quite fancy. Everyone seemed to be smiling. Clearly I felt like I was in the twilight zone. Well I was shuttled to my work and then when I got the call for the car being ready, I called the number to be picked up. Again this is something that I wish was a little better, but a nice little confirmation to say they received my call and that they'd pick me up at the time I specified would be GREATLY appreciated, but heck I'll overlook that since they upped their game in all the other aspects. I came back to the dealership and got to the front desk, the person there took me to my car which was a change from just giving me keys and fending for my life to find my car. Wow. Just wow. Now my last visit I scheduled to replace my windshield due to the severe crack I had due to my long distance driving on 680 and the mini windshield apparently prone to cracking easily. I called and Brian was very helpful in giving me a price that was fair and told me potentially taking a few days since they wanted to make sure that the glass set. I had to call back and forth needing to reschedule many times and him and Angela were VERY helpful and patient through my mess. Marcel ended up helping me the day of my appointment since it was Brian's day off. What I wished they told me was they had a loaner for me to drive. I was under the impression I wasn't going to get a loaner so my bf drove all the way up from Milpitas so that he and I could drive and do errands. Now we had two cars to shuttle all over which was a waste of gas for us and really threw our schedules. I do appreciate the loaner as it did really help me out, but would have really wanted to have known that this was the case before I had to do all these side plans. Angela at the front desk was quite helpful and very patient with me when I had to come back to pick up my garage opener a few days later since I dropped my car off on Saturday and I live very far away so I picked it up on Monday. She then said my car would likely be ready by the end of the day instead of Tuesday. I was waiting for a call but nothing, so I called around 4:30/5 before I left work just to make sure that the car wasn't ready, but it was...not sure what was going on but perhaps they felt I didn't need the car immediately. So I drove myself back and picked up my car and it was right there in the front ready to go. Marcel called me Tuesday to just make sure everything was ok. So that's my long winded way of saying thanks for really improving the quality of service from where it was earlier in the year. Most horrifying experience ever. I was lied to in front of my face. First I came in for a configuration in Dec..got the specs and everything and was asked to put down a deposit to start the process. The deposit is for $1k, ok go figure. I asked, what about the final price? MR. CLARO says, don't worry about it, we can negotiate the price when the car gets in. There was one slot for the car to be completed and be in Concord early Feb. Not only does he not respond to my phone calls, I had to call someone else, Michael to help me. He was super nice, and when Claro found out, he got pissed and responds to my email and left me a vmail saying not to contact Michael and only him directly. The car finally gets in mid March, after a bunch of emails I had to send to him to get updates. He was hesitant to even lock in the rate for financing, geez. I go in, see the car, was amazed, I also bought a bunch of accessories for the car. Sat down, and was handed a paper with the cost of the car. I asked ok, so how much are you willing to work with me? NONE! NOTHING! NADA! WTF? Really? Who buys a car at MSRP? He went into the manager's office, pulls out a paper that I signed. He pointed, hey your signature is next to the MSRP price. WTF? So that is the price I HAD to pay. He is such a LIAR! I didn't even agree to that price, let alone I didn't even sign any paper work for the car to begin with. He wouldn't even work with me on the price. What was worse, the manager came out and said, 'you're getting a good deal, we usually mark this up 2k more, if you don't like it, report us to the BBB'. They sure did not care for my business and even said they can refund my money back for the deposit. They are completely unprofessional AND rude AND disrepectful. No smile, no greeting, NOTHING. They don't even have anyone there to shop for cars. They kept saying the car will sell..yea sure..it sure wasn't sold that weekend that's for sure, nor the week after. DO NOT waste your time with Claro, he's a liar, and the manager sucks ass. If you must come here for a car, work with Michael, he's the ONLY person that's nice enough to really work with you and he's really prompt with vmail and emails. On Thursday I picked up my "beautiful" 2016 Mini Cooper JCW Paceman. I went online and configured it. I submitted it and right away "Mr. Jason Krupa" responded. He asked me a few questions offered to find me something similar and I declined. Informing him that I had spent hours going over countless options that were available. He said, no problem. My fiance and I had been considering a new car for five months. We thought about various make and models including Audi, VW. and the Mini. Personally I wasn't a fan of Mini's, but my opinion changed after I saw the Countryman. The body style is bigger and bolder than the Mini, and the 4 door makes the car more convenient and practical. We started window shopping at the SF Mini Dealership. We test drove the car in the Pleasant Dealership. We didn't care for the service we received nor did we establish any rapport with the sales reps. I read Jason's reviews on Yelp and decided to give him a call. We gave him our criteria and our budget and ask that he help us find the right car. In less than a week we decided on the car we wanted..and came to an agreement on the price. Only bummer was that there was a 3 week lead time for the car to arrive to dock. Last night we went to pick up our new Mini Countryman. We drove for an hour and half in traffic and arrived at the dealer ship 40 minutes past its closing time. Jason was very patient..and took his time to walk us through our new baby. We didn't feel rushed at all and were very pleased with what we got! We also had a pleasant experience during closing with Jennifer. I had a small crack on a fog light on the front bumper and they decided to replace the entire bumper side they noticed some small cracks in the bumper. I highly recommend one name from Mini of Concord ..... JASON KRUPA.... I was playing with the True Car app on my phone and requested for information on a 2018 Mini Cooper Countryman. Shortly after submitting my request, I received a call from Jason and right off he asked me how much i want to pay for a S trim Countryman and what color. I gave him my tops and what was quoted to me from another Mini dealer and he said he can better that if i come by to check out what he has... They asked us what we were looking for and we got right to it. The inventory is 4 stares. We also just took our car in the other day to service and we won't go any where other then this place. They got right to it. I my service advice was Tim R. And he was amazing. Most places you don't get a call or anything but he kept me up dated with my car . as well as my tec was able to sit down with me and explain to me what was going on. All my questions were answered.
